Seemed pretty standard gear for a PRican. Cotto's pink was pretty camp.

Morality doesn't come from god, even though I will admit that religious people use religion to justify their specific subjective morals. I chose not to get into a discussion of theology, suffice to say I was referring to religion as a moral structure, on a basis of its laws and instilled morals that outdate pretty much any other moral structure of mankind. What you fail to see is that by bringing attention to it, people become educated. It's important for people to stand up against things that are wrong. So Cruz isn't brigning attention to himself just because he wants to make money, he is using his pseudo celebrity to promote a topic that is important to him. There is a difference between garnering attention, and attention whoring. You are not making the distinction, I think. Then you haven't read a lot of my posts. The main reason I don't deal in racism is because it's snuffed out in this place by the mods much faster than anti gay stuff. For some reason calling someone a ni66er is taboo but calling someone a fa6 is ok here. So I pick and chose my battles for those that need it. Oh please, so much wrong with this. Seriously, I read countless racist things on here that the administration is sluggish at best to address. If you were referring to somewhere else, like the Middle East, or a communist place, or some other place where Christianity doesn't largely prevail, I would be inclined to agree with you. Why do you feel so strongly in defending a person we want to make fun of? Because to you its just some fun, but it is part of perpetuating prejudice and bigotry against a minority group. Same as racism.

some is hate but some is just disgust Disgust based upon ignorance which goes hand in hand with bigotry and can lead to hate. The disgust of gays is in reducing them down as human beings to sexual acts. Yet, we dont do that with unattractive straight people. Therefore the disgust people feel is really about them seeing gays as unequal humans.

I believe in a lot of places gay couples cannot adopt as a family or make emergency medical decisions for one another. Even though they're better accepted now... there's still things in place that work against them. Just because they aren't being persecuted or getting their heads chopped off doesn't mean everything's fair for them

If it is, it isn't to as many people. Issues of the Divine aside, religion serves as a moral structure. Even atheists can appreciate the validity and need for that. Give them their rights. I am not intolerant. But Cruz, for instance is politicizing the whole deal, and stirring the pot of controversy for monetary gain. Nothing noble about it in the slightest. Bro it's not about disrespect, it's about opening your mind and seeing things in a different way. My flag is important to me as well, I just can't be so arrogant to think that I have the monopoly of what it should represent. Does Mexico only represent brown skinned Mexicans? No, it represents white skinned one's too with red hair like Canelo. It also represents gays people, tall people, short people etc. My point is that with Cruz putting the flag in that way, it's not a disrespect, it's actually a show of pride he has in being Puerto Rican. I mean I have seen Puerto Rican girls with the PR flag sown into the back of their jeans on their asses....
