I know a lot of guys are hoping for a baldy win, but this is going to be a wood shed ass kicking. Mayweather is simply too good for him. Waaay too fast and waaay to slick. Styles make fights and this one is tailor made for a paint job by Mayweather.
I v met quite a few. Razor Ruddock in Vegas. Played blackjack at the same table with him. Iran Bakley in Vegas. Roy Jones Jr. in Atlantic City. Larry Holmes in A.C. Hector Camacho on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. I was amazed at how small he was. Camacho had a big posse with him every where he went. But he was a very friendly guy.
Abe, Awesome tribute. I grew up watching the absolutely magnificent Ali. He was truly a thing of beauty to watch in the ring. Lightning quick hands and smooth as silk in the ring. If anybody could ever post the Cleveland Williams entire fight you would see Ali at his best. The combination of speed, power and accuracy were mind boggling to watch. He was truly the greatest heavyweight fighter I have ever seen.
When I was a kid.I remember how dominant Ali was. The way he just toyed with the best fighters in the world was amazing to me. The young Ali had no equal or even anyone remotely close to his skills. To me at that time, I thought he was God like. I loved watching him fight. I can also remember after he got old in the ring, you still believed he would always win. I remember sitting in the theater watching watching Ali-Holmes on closed circuit and watching round after round go by with Ali losing every round. Even though he was old I just knew he was gonna somehow come back and win. Finally when the fight was stopped between rounds and Ali had lost, I remember sitting there and actually crying openly. I looked around and saw my friends teary eyed too. Realizing that our hero since we were kids, was human after all. still makes me sad to think about that night.
Doesnt matter. Floyd is waaaay to fast and slick for Ricky. Rickys only chance is to grab, hold and bull rush like he did against Kosta Tyzu. Mayweather is too smart to let that happen. Result? Mayweather an easy decision win.
Best Ref of all time was Mills Lane
Mills Lane was one of the best ever. I read where he had a stroke or something of that sort a couple of years ago. Does anybody know how he is doing now?
Holyfield would walk right through Bernards pity pat punches easily. No way Hopkins would have the fire power to keep Evander off of him. Holyfield wins this by KO. EASY KO!
Evander though never fought prime Tyson
And Tyson never fought a prime Evander. Doesnt matter though. Holyfield beats him every time. Heart of a lion vs heart of a field mouse. Lion wins every time.
what is there not to hate on a bitch like Hopkins, he cant box, he cant fight,(anymore, in his prime he was good) he thinks his legacy is big even though it is based on victories opver a merely decent mw divison and 3 blown up welters-super welters....and to top that up he is a fucking lightheavyweight that was too afraid of moving up in weight and give up his size advantage against the likes of jones, toney and calzaghe for 10 years...
IMO his only decent wins are Tito and Tarver...
and in top of that, he totally ducked jones for 10 years ans now calls him out when jones is coming of bad times....and tries to get money he doesnt deserve... fuck hopkins.....
and what is worse is that i think if he had fought at 160-168-175, he wouldve beat anyone but clazaghe toney and jones, but he was just a big fish in a small pond...he wouldve made himself an better legacy if he had fought calzaghe, toney and jones...because i do think in his prime hopkins was a good fighter...
AMEN! I am glad that I am not the only one who seess the true facts. Fact is that Roy kicked Hopkins ass in an easy fight. (one that Roy basically fought one handed because the other was injured) . I am soooo tired of hearing the excuses for Bhop! RJJ has always been the better of the two and he still is. And I dont want to hear that Bullshit that Hopkins was still too young when they fought. Roy was young too! Hopkins has always avoided Roy like the plague. Yeah, he really wanted a rematch, so he asked for a 50-50 split aginst the champ who had already kicked his ass! Yall musta forgot!
Wow.. You clearly are immature. I hope you talk like this in real life. Lol.. So people can not only laugh at you online but to your face, aswell.
McNulty, dont you see what is happening here? You are getting into a battle of wits against an unarmed man! LOL
1. How do you think he got that athletic ability?
Started training since the age of 7...might even be 5. Train anything every day and you git nasty @ it. What did he train again? Boxing...ok...cuz I know you have a hard time counting and stuff.
2. If RJj started boxing as a quasi-toddler, then explain how he got so nasty?
5-7 year olds are not blessed w/athletic ability. Its fact...he ahd the same chances as we all did. Your saying I guy that trains every day, Dad fought Hagler, didint pick up boxing fundamentals along the way? Dude he fought in the olympics and had no boxing fundamentals?
Have you ever trained or fought? Interested. If so, how long?
Ask any trainer in the biz about Ali's lean back . They all say itsa mistake. Would you say Ali doesnt have boxing fundamentals?
Ali and RJj were on very high levels of boxing. Just cuz they did things others would quote as "mistake" doesnt mean its so. Virtuoso's all do unorthodox things cuz they mastered said art...now once you master said art...whats left to master? Magic...thats what. Defy the odds.
You also shit on his chin. Guy...have you seen any Jones fights? You dont git by Sosa, Brannon, Bhop, Toney, Hill, McCallum, Ruiz w/out a chin. If he didnt have a chin how come he never ever ever showed a single sign of it before Tarver II? Please explain...its IMPOSSIBLE....so hence there must be others external factors as to why. Please dont start some shit about roids making you tougher either. Nerve damage via muscular atrophy sounds more believable to anyone w/a IQ over 75.
I dont understand why I have to repeat it. I read a study on animals memory retension and it said that things humans can pick up in 1-3x animals...e.g.: cats, dogs, need about 14x for it to settle in. WTF :smashfrea
It is a big deal cuz its FALSE and yousa hater. Give the guy full credit for chissakes. You diss RJj you diss boxing and ultimately yourself.
McNulty, You are one of the few guys on here who uses logic, good sense, and a knowledge of the fight game when proving your point. Truly Refreshing!
Please dont in any way, shape or form compare anything about Wlad to Lennox Lewis. Lewis could train for a couple of months and still knock his ass out easily, even now.
Ok but thats a good point but look at a dude who gets knocked out twice n a row and then think about how u gon feel after those fights example
I see what you are saying. Im sure alot of it has to do with the mental outlook of the fighter. Im thinking that since jones has had a couple of fights since the johnson loss, that his frame of mind should be ok now.
