Mines probably eubank for his personality and boxing. I have literally only seen a few clips of shavers and I would like to see more of him I like him.
Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, Oscar de la Hoya, Pernell Whitaker, Bernard Hopkins, Juan Manuel Marquez, Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler.Pernell Whitaker?! Sweet Pea's philosophical approach to boxing is incongruous to that group. It's sort of like sayin' "my favorite actors are Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Charles Bronson and Pee Wee Herman..."
Ali- For his Charisma
Leonard and Winky- I like their style i know they might not be as exciting as the Durans and Chavez's but i've always like smart boxers who fight at their own pace and control the fight
i dont have 1 that stands out alone ,i like Fighters that entertain Warriors like Holyfield & Barrera
i also like Flashy Boxers like RJJ & Ray Leonard who play to the crowd ,
i think thats why im a big Terry Norris fan not only was Norris a tremendous Boxer with great speed & combintation punching he was a Gunslinger who liked to get in their a fight so u had both sides of the coin ,and cause he beat 1 of my heroes in Ray leonard & put on some clinics of Boxing displays in his time
at times he paid the price for fighting this way but thats what made his career so enjoyable to watch his fights were up & downers
Man, there are just so many! How to pick just just one? I can't.
I think we all go through periods in which we like a different fighter or when one of our favourites retires we move on to a new guy with new fights. Some of my all time favourites would be: (in no particular order)
Toney, Duran, Marquez, Lopez, Whittaker, Leonard, Hearns, Tszyu, Morales, Barrera, Hagler, Hopkins...I don't know, theres just too many to name. I could go on all day listing my favourite fighters. Although I have noticed I've never really enjoyed any heavyweights much. I have always seen more skill, better fights and greater competition in the lighter weights.
I'm positive I'm missing some of my favourite and most obvious fighters as well. It's too late and I'm too tired.
