When I was a kid, I used to think Tyson was a God, Marciano was a God, and Louis was a God...I used to downplay Ali's ability and say, Marciano, Tyson, Louis, etc would whoop him.
Then I got a little older, ESPN Classics was brought into my life, and I watched some "Older" fights... later on I would get internet access, download and also buy some fights that I never saw before, my eyes opened, and my opinions were adjusted......Marciano wasn't who I thought he was, though that is a bit unfair since I had unrealistic ideas about him like the rest I stated, Tyson was still great, but he wasn't the same guy from Mike Tyson's punch-out, Louis had some flaws, but I try to block them out, so he can remain a God:D ... and seeing a prime Ali changed my mind about him.
Marciano would not be favored against Ali, Tyson would have problems with him, and Louis is still a God, so I don't want to admit anything, LOL.
I didn't give a shit about boxing over 3 years ago but I don't know what happened lol. Basketball and football used to be my favorite, but boxing is there too now.
we never saw ali in his prime :D
but yea. when i was young i was only watchin boxing for the knockouts. i loved power punchers and hated boxers. its very much the opposite now
When I was a kid.I remember how dominant Ali was. The way he just toyed with the best fighters in the world was amazing to me. The young Ali had no equal or even anyone remotely close to his skills. To me at that time, I thought he was God like. I loved watching him fight. I can also remember after he got old in the ring, you still believed he would always win. I remember sitting in the theater watching watching Ali-Holmes on closed circuit and watching round after round go by with Ali losing every round. Even though he was old I just knew he was gonna somehow come back and win. Finally when the fight was stopped between rounds and Ali had lost, I remember sitting there and actually crying openly. I looked around and saw my friends teary eyed too. Realizing that our hero since we were kids, was human after all. still makes me sad to think about that night.
LOL...a lot more people on here can tend to have mutliple personalities as well, or in other words, at least change their mind based on the day being Monday, opposed to Tuesday...if that makes sense to you, you know what I mean, if it doesn't, I don't know either

What i have learned most of all about posting on here is that arguments you wouldnt even think would be feasable to discuss can be discussed on here and passed off as legit by like minded people who are equally illogical.
