Crazy Fight
Pac-Maidana would be a crazy fight. Non-stop action from start to death.
I can agree with you on one thing. If the two of them got in the same ring together, the fight would not go the distance. It was Maidana who said that
Pac would be next. The fight would do great ratings and sales. Win or lose when it comes to Pacquiao and Maidana, both fighters will bring it in the ring.
They Would Have to Pay Me
They would have to pay ME $69.99 to watch Floyd/Alexander.
I agree with you on that. They would also have to throw in a case of beer and party snacks for me to watch it.
Good article, thanks.
Michael Watson seems like one of the few people who no one can find a bad word to say about. It's a huge shame that he had the luck that he did in the two Eubanks fights, and also that he ran into a prime Mccallum in his other title tilt.
Having said that some achievements are bigger than boxing, and the determination and will he showed in getting himself mobile again is as amazing as anything he could have done in the ring.
I remember watching Fighting Back: The Michael Watson Story.
The way he came back from such tragedy was certainly remarkable.
Manny Has Everything to Lose
So who is this guy? I know he is a former lightweight and light welterweight champ and coming off a loss but besides the obvious who is this guy?
Is this a credible fighter to fight Manny? Where does Rios even rank? Is he a good opponent? Does he have a shot at beating Manny?
What does it mean for Manny if he wins? What's next for him if he wins? Does that mean he is back because he beat Rios?
What does it mean if Rios wins?
Discuss.
It would depend on how Manny wins. Manny may want to find a different line of work if he suffers another defeat. It would be a shame for him to wind of being used as a name on a young and up and coming fighter's resume. If Rios wins, the sky is the limit. If he loses, he still wins because this will be the biggest payday of his career.
Another Record
Hopkins vs Joe Lipsey.
Hopkins vs Tito.
Hopkins vs Pavlik.
Hopkins vs Tarver.
Hopkins vs Winky.
Hopkins vs Mercado.
Hopkins vs Eastman.
Hopkins vs Echols.
B Hop holds the record for fighters careers ruined after facing him. Although Jermaine Taylor defeated him twice, Taylor wasn't quite the same after those two fights. Joe Lipsey never fought again after Bernard Hopkins finished with him.
How Did they SPend SO Much?
How did they spend so much?
This is a relatively easy question to answer. First we start with the Promotors, Managers, Trainers, and Cutman. All fighters have some type of entourage. Their sparring partners need to be paid also. Last but not least, there is the IRS that gets a nice chunk of the purse. After it is all said and done, the fighter gets what is left. Depending on what is left and the type of life style a fighter lives, it would not be difficult to go through millions of dollars. Multiple children by different women can be expensive. Multiple marriages also must be considered. Everyone likes or wants certain things that they really don't need. This includes multiple mansions, vehicles, exotic animals that really should be at a zoo. Hopefully you can see a bigger picture now.
One Sided Beating
Marlon Starling was beating up Thomas Molinares until Molinares landed an over hand right slightly after the bell. Starling didn't remember being knocked out.
Railroaded
By the Irs.......He went to war for his country and got railroaded by the IRS he went to service and they wanted every damn dime he won....I dont blame Ali for not fighting in a bullsh1t was for a country who didnt give a sh1t about him..........They did Joe Louis wrong,wrong,wrong.........................he got railroaded
What made matters worse is Joe Louis donated a large sum of money from a couple of his fights to the Navy Relief Fund. Because of complicated tax laws, he was not aloud to count that towards deductions.
Read the following link.

Ali got tore a new one also on taxes. There was a documentary on Ali where 70 percent of his purse went to taxes.
Excellant Chance
Bute hasnt faced the level of opposition Froch has, but he clearly has skill,
Froch has proved himself to be a one dimensional come forward brawler,
So i find it quite hard to predict.
What do others expect the outcome to be, type of fight ..
If Froch works off of his jab, the is no doubt that he will defeat Bute. When
it comes to chin checks, Froch wins. Bute may have the edge in power but Froch has the power to hurt him. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it was
Andrate who had Bute out on his feet. Boxing fans we are in for a treat because this fight will not be boring and it will not be going to the score cards.
The holding was unbearable to watch .... Molina did so much holding and stuff but the ref let it all go .... Kirkland complained and the ref shushed him.
To be honest, the ref let Molina get away with quite a bit of infractions. The excessive holding, head butting, and practically any thing else that comes to mind. Molina certainly does not have a fan friendly style. To be honest, who wants to spend their hard earned money to see someone stink a place out. I certainly did not know where Kirkland's mind was last night. He really looked bad. I am surprised he did not throw some upper cuts at Molina. Molina constantly came in with his head low. Ann Wolf said it best in the corner when she said, "That MF is fighting dirty." She also admitted that James was
losing the fight. Hats off to Ann for her honesty.
Rematch?
Rematch? Sure, why not have a rematch? Should it be on PPV? No it should not. Why? Their styles would not match up well. Translation the fight would turn into a boring, foul fested contest.
Lost Friends
AB said his loss was the best thing for him because he lost some friends. Sounded sad during the interview in between charlo rosado and peterson jean
If he actually said that, my hat is off to him. The morale to this story is when you are down, only the people who are true to you will stick around. I am sure AB will come back and be a better fighter because of the loss. He is still young so time is on his side.
lmfao..damn ya'll have excuses for everything, amazing,no way in hell you can be serious with this s__t. To be honest, Pac and JMM can fight 15, 20, or 30 times and you will get the same type of fight because of their styles. Marquez will always cause the Pac man trouble. Pac should go ahead and try to make the fight with Mayweather. He should fight JMM after Floyd and say adios to boxing.
Those are my thoughts exactly. He started believing his press clippings. It also shows that he was fighting C class fighters until he met the Ghost. I see the Ghost as a B fighter who got taught a lesson by an A fighter.
My Thoughts
It just confirms what we already knew.
Berto is massively overpaid and overrated.
It also shows that Berto needs to work on his defense big time. He even tried to copy Floyd's style while facing the Ghost and he got the beat down of his life.
Alphabet Title Holder
It determines which organization collects sanctioning fees from the fighter. After the WBC and WBA, I quit trying to remember who the champions were a long time ago. Now we have Interim, Diamond, and I just read something about Floyd Mayweather being named a Supreme Champion by the WBC. Heck, even Butterbean held some type of four round heavyweight title made up for him.
If Cotto Beats Pac
Then will be Cotto/Mayweather in November, Then Arum "megafight" will go up in the air. Remember cotto words," another fight with Manny the results will be different" cotto can torpedo Arum secret submarine.
If any of the opponents whos name appeared on Pac's list of opponents fight and defeat him, there will be no Mayweather fight. It is time for Arum to do his part and make the fight happen. The fighters said they would fight each other. I see why my dad preferred the fighters from previous era's vervus the fighters of today. They made it a point to fight the best fighters available.
I don't get why he's still crying, he was gonna vacate the titles anyway if he won. He should stop *****ing, go up to WW, fight a good fighter there, then winner of Berto V Ortiz 2 then maybe, just maybe, he'll be considered for the Mayweather sweepstakes.
That is why crybabies do. He will probably still be crying about the Peterson fight a few months from now. If I were Peterson, I would make him wait until he stopped with the nonscence. In the mean time, give him a :bottle: because that should make hime feel right at home.
Pacquiao's On Lockdown
If it is true that Bob is getting around 27 percent of Pac's purses, it is very doubtful that he would be able to due the fight without Bob Arum. It is becoming clear that Bob is blocking the fight. Any other promoter would have sealed the deal and made the fight happen by now. Forget about Pacquiao buying out his contract. It would cost too much to buy out the contract. It is becoming more clear who is ducking the fight and it is not the fighters. It is one fighter's promoter. Mr. Arum, what are you afraid of? Mayweather is the biggest money fight out there for Pacquiao. If you are going to risk him being beaten, you might as well get the most amount of money possible.
What Do Roy and Manny Have in Common?
We all know they both suffered brutal knock outs. Another thing we need to keep in mind is they both had other interests outside of boxing. Boxing is a sport where one must be 100 percent dedicated. Both also have been fighting professionally for a long time. If one wants to think of peaking and declining fast, let us not forget Jermain Taylor and Jeff Lacy.
Manny Should Hang Them Up
If he loses, yes it would be a great idea not to fight again. Manny's fight purses would take a major hit. Besides, he would be a first ballet Hall of Famer 5 years from now.
NO Strength and Conditioning?
Hey Alex, If Pacquiao did no strength and conditioning, what was your purpose in his camp? One thing should be clear by now. Marquez and his people know that no matter what happens when fighting Pacquiao, Manny eventually becomes careless. When he was showing Marquez head movement and using boxing, he was troubling him. As soon as Pacquiao got careless, Marquez timed him and that was the end of fight.
How Good of Trainer is Angel?
There is no question he is a great corner man for his son. I think he has trained him well but would like to see straighter punches and the abilty to attack. Danny Garcia's strength is his ability to come out top in exchanges. He is also very calm but feel he is not a complete fighter.
There is no doubt that he is a great asset in his son's corner. I would like to see him in the corner of other fighters to determine whether he is a great trainer.
Damn. You know zab butt hurt over those comments. That's gotta hurt his ego. At the same time, its the hurt business. If you can't mentally take it, then you've lost half the battle.
I see that Angel Garcia got into another fighter's head. Danny's job is already half done. The completion of it will take place in February. This is the modern day of what I call the Ali war fare on opponents. The main difference here is Ali talked stuff and backed it up. Danny and his father remind me more of tag team wrestling in a funny way. Angel starts and his son finishes. I can only imagine what a 24/7 would be like once Danny gets involved in a pay per event.
Cotto the Next Option?
Please tell me it isn't so. If there is any truth to this, Manny get away from Bob as soon as possible. Either that or demand that Bob tries to get the Mayweather fight for you. Oh wait, you're not in the position to make any demands.
Nothing Personal Just Business
Remember when JMM was robbed against Pac in the trilogy? Arum told him it was nothing personal, just business.
Well Pactards, maybe this was nothing personal against Pac. Maybe it too was "just business."
One thing's for sure, Pac needs to dump Top Rank!
I agree, Pac should get away from Top Rank. Bob already made it obvious when he said that he stood to make alot of money on a Pacquiao vs. Bradley rematch. You be the judge.

You can find her pic at the web link below. Judges need to have access to the same equipment as the commentators. They certainly can use television monitors for starters. Where she is sitting, I can certainly see things that she could miss.
