Agreed. First fight was all about emotion. Any after would be complete destruction. Anthony is just better. He’ll continue to develop better. Is more skilled with a higher boxing IQ. Wilder and Whyte would be a pretty interesting match, though. Whyte is a boxer. But Wilder and Joshua is what everyone wants. I think Wilder happens in Nov or Dec. Joshua will have one in July or Aug. I don’t know if Wilder would take another before or not.Agreed, AJ has great chemistry in knocking Whyte the **** out cold.
Eesh, I would hope that's not the case. But I guess one never knows when you get into that tax bracket. Not really, he doesnt give a shit considering the amount of money he makes.
That's pretty much all he cares about.
The guy probably just lost 10 million dollars and you want a hundred thousand dollar fine on top of that? He'll have been inactive for a year by his next fight and his name is being dragged through the press. I think that's a decent punishment already.
I was talking with a friend about this the other day, and we were wondering how it works... if Canelo did indeed cheat, will he feel guilt about it moving forward? Does it play on his emotions, the way fans, writers, announcers may make comments and if he hears/sees them? Will it effect his performances? Because he seems like he's genuinely a nice guy. He's not some thug a-hole that couldn't care less.
In Paulie's (and boxing's) defense, Paulie didn't say he was going to be the ufc's new god. Conor said he was going to be boxing's. There's no way Conor's people let him get back into the boxing ring and get beaten two times in a row by boxers. Even though he's a very good mma fighter, he could potentially damage his brand and credibility. That's why he's saying "come to the octagon". Trying to save a little face and also knowing it would never happen. And I've got to say, Irish people are very proud and respectful and respect driven people, and I really felt he was a sore loser against Mayweather and the way he continues to talk about it. That was disappointing.
A PRIME Mike Tyson hits much harder than any year of Wladimir Klitschko--and I was a big fan of the K bros. Tyson had that head movement and threw those 4 and 6 punch combinations filled with uppercuts. He was just so fast and an incredibly precise puncher with HUGE power. Anthony wouldn't have stood a chance. Big fan of AJ, but not a chance.
Who knows, but when you swing to the body, the head is open. And Golovkin hits a lot harder to the head than Canelo does to the body. I've never seen GGG have problems being hit to the body. This fight just gets more fun, because you can't predict it.
Look at Eddie trying to plant seeds of doubt in Fury's team's heads! Doesn't like being the bridesmaid in all of this. This could've been Eddie's fight--and I genuinely believe AJ wanted it, but Hearn apparently didn't think he was ready and pulled the ol' dodge, duck, dive, dip, and...dodge.
Always love these articles. It's like, what's he going to say? "No, no he's rubbish. He's finished." He's had one fight back after 2 and a half years and these are the questions being tossed around to seasoned vets. Classic.
Ahhh the best interviews! He and Larry Merchant going back and forth in the late 90's/early 2000's used to be my favorites!
Who stole it from James Toney....who also was first to say "you play football, basketball, baseball...you don't play boxing."
Hearn is my favorite promotor to listen to because he cracks me up, but this is getting ridiculous. It's like he's trying to keep AJ and Wilder from happening by hoping for some upset miracle (or De la Hoya'ing him, trying to age him out). The only other thing I can think of is they're attempting to show Wilder he has no bargaining power and to just take a deal they're maybe working on for April (which I thought he ended up doing the first time?). Really thought Eddie was going to be that cat that comes in and makes the fights, but he's going straight Bob Arum.
The laugh sort of told it all for how Ward thinks of it. It'll be interesting...Canelo will be off the gear and tested 4 months out instead of 2, so you'll have to see if the stamina issues return, not to mention the power won't be the same (not to say it'll be non-existent), and Golovkin is another year older into his mid 30's, so you'll have to see if he's another year not as sharp and doesn't cut off the ring again.
Yeah, I’m almost not missing social media and half of the online articles. At least before you weren’t wasting moments listening and reading a bunch of “what if’s”. There was a commercial a week before and then a fight lol. Hopefully Wilder gets a happy ending
because he keeps getting jerked around by the Brits.
Thought this contract was supposed to be signed last week? They said the split, location in Vegas, and details were worked out. Gonna stop clicking on anything Wilder/Fury related until i see “It’s Official” as the headline. Turning into another AJ/Wilder fan boning.
If Fury ends up fighting Wilder at some point down the road before Joshua does, then sadly everything he's saying will have been true.
TYSON FURY taunted Anthony Joshua by labelling him a disgrace' for not fighting Deontay Wilder. The former world heavyweight champion hit out a the current WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO title holder for turning down a 37m offer to travel to America to face Wilder.Click Here To Read More]
Ahhh I figured they'd negotiate for Vegas! That's awesome. Wish more boxers were like Fury. He gets on my nerves every other time, but he knows he's good and wants to fight. I think AJ wants to fight, but Hearn talks him out of it and says to hold out and do this or that--big mistake! If this fight gets made and Wilder wins, Joshua's take goes down to an even 50/50 -- and England might be off the table until a rematch. Bad posturing and positioning by Hearn. Beating an old Povetkin that was floored by Price doesn't increase your value. Beating Tyson Fury does.
What's the Irish boxer going to say when he's own countryman is paying his sparring services? Our guy got his a$$ whipped by an out of shape Paulie an hour off of a flight?! lol. I believe this is even news. The Irish amateur boxer, in camp with the Irish fighter, asked about in an interview, could only go as far as saying that the spar was basically 50/50 that he thought Conor "won".
No mention of the knockdown, no mention of Conor blowing through everyone, and even still, couldn't even note Conor's power enough that even he, himself, could stand and handle the shot.
He's always been an idiot in the press. Delusional at best. But her...she's a dumpster fire. When his career went to sh*te, she did what any copper (can't give him gold) digger would, and instead of communicating, bailed how she saw fit. That being said, his family seems primitive in their belief of the way women should be treated. One of those, "You deserve each other" sentiments.
You know, I see Joe at the Comedy Store sometimes in LA and he's never this stupid. He's saving a$$. He knows coming from a kickboxing background what a 0-0 boxer brings to a 49-0 boxer. Little disappointed. Rather him say nothing than moronic sh*t from one of my favorite comedians. Like you need the money.
