CONOR MCGREGOR is adamant he'd beat Floyd Mayweather Jr if they ever rematched each other. The UFC lightweight champion, 29, took on 'Money' Mayweather in a multi-million-pound bout in Las Vegas, Nevada in late August. McGregor, the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously, entered the 'The Money Fight', with no professional boxing experience to his name, a fact which led many to completely write off his chances of coming out of the contest victorious. :hijacked::hijacked:I watched that fight again from a crowd angle. Normally crowd angles suck but this one wasn't bad and it was even more telling imo than the showtime feed.
He arguably wasn't being paid fairly, but he wasn't earning peanuts either. He made about 20-25 million from UFC 202 when it was all said and done.
Can you link me to the source that says he earned $20-25 million from UFC 202? I read from everything, including bonus and Reebok, he earned $3million in his last UFC fight.
Besides, if Floyd is going to put on another mega-showcase, it's gonna be against the world's #1 badminton champion. Maybe he'll fight Tiger Woods? Maybe he'll fight an Olympic gold medal men's figure skater?
It's all as relevant as fighting the top MMA fighter who had zero boxing experience.
Don't blame McGreggor given the money he made.
I would say that fans aren't that stupid to get taken in again and pay to watch an amateur fight a 40 plus year semi-retired boxer, but reading these forums would suggest otherwise :D
Perhaps Conor knows he has to do what he should have done in the first fight... Take a page out of Maidana's playbook and throw the kitchen sink at Floyd for the first three or four rounds and hope that he hurts and finishes him.
I was going to come in here and laugh but before I judge i'm just gonna put myself in McGregor's shoes and say, I get paid peanuts for record breaking UFC PPV's. My bosses keep the majority of the money, I take a small percentage of the PPV revenue that was generated with my name. I go to pro boxing for one fight and make $10s of millions of dollars.
Stepping out of McGregor's shoes.
Wouldn't you want to do that again? I know i'd look at the UFC a lot differently after that if it was me. I'd have a lot of questions for my bosses if i'm getting a guaranteed $2-3 million off 1.5 million UFC PPV's sold, and maybe $5 million in the end. Where's my $20-25 million? That's my name selling those PPV's. Why are you all pocketing most of the money?

This guy is an idiot. And his fans are even more idiot than him. He's trying to make his living by getting ko'ed in front of millions of people.
Didnt you compete in a sheety sport? then do it, and stop boxing, you have no F clue about how to box. And learn to punch, you dummy, my girlfriend hits harder than you, clown.
It was an incredible performance. To be carried by a semi-shot Floyd for 10 rounds will go down in combat sports history. I salute you Conor. Maybe next time you won't get your asss handed to you by an old man (in fighting terms).
No more of these circus shows, please. Oh shti, there is gonna be Haye - Bellew, 2 isn't there? AAAHHH!
