The Mexican middleweight still insists eating contaminated meat was the reason traces of Clenbuterol were found in the samples he gave in February. But he was forced to scrap his May 5 rematch with Gennady Golovkin after the Nevada State Athletic Commission indicated he could face a one-year ban. Click Here To Read More]
Hate him or love him Khan is right. 6 months is a joke. All this suspension did was build more hype for a September fight. He should have been banned for at least 1 year and have to take year round testing.
"Maybe if he was banned, I never would have had to fight him and get my glass chin shattered all over the arena while my goat of a wife was sucking off AJ"
“I am a clean fighter, I can always have my head up high, but others out there will know they have cheated deep down. People will always remember Canelo as a cheat.”
Which is precisely why you get KTFO by even a fart in the wind Mr. Khan, let alone a juiced up LHW fighting as a Jr & 1/2 MW....
'King' Khan and all the people Clenelo has cheated are in their right to demand satisfaction, none of you know what it feels like to be struck by a prize fighter -- its dangerous as it is ; only a coward like Clenelo juices against a chinny glass-jaw Brit.
I hate canelo but "a few years at least"?? Lol! Khan is crazy. You could argue 1 yr would be fair as 6 months seems light. But after all, Margarito only got 1 yr for what I believe is a much more serious offense.
Agreed, also they don't know for 100% sure that it wasnt contaminated meat that caused the failed tests since the trace amounts of clen was consistent with contamination, even though its highly likely hes a cheater. 6 months seems appropriate, however I can understand Khans point of view as well. Canelo caused him some brain damage and knocked him out silly in front of the whole world and embarrased him. One punch could kill someone, especially someone with a weak Jaw like khan. Khan probably feels like if canelo wasnt jacked up on clen they would have had a fair fight and khan could have won, possibly at 147 because Canelo wouldnt have had all the extra clen muscle. Its tough to speculate but either way these 2 failed drug tests will always taint the career of Canelo.
Eesh, I would hope that's not the case. But I guess one never knows when you get into that tax bracket. Not really, he doesnt give a shit considering the amount of money he makes.
That's pretty much all he cares about.

I was talking with a friend about this the other day, and we were wondering how it works... if Canelo did indeed cheat, will he feel guilt about it moving forward? Does it play on his emotions, the way fans, writers, announcers may make comments and if he hears/sees them? Will it effect his performances? Because he seems like he's genuinely a nice guy. He's not some thug a-hole that couldn't care less.
