Before a crowd of nearly 80,000 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Anthony Joshua beat Joseph Parker by unanimous decision to become a three-belt world heavyweight champion. He delivered the first loss of the New Zealander's career on Saturday. Click Here To Read More]
Joshua's fans never thought that Joshua would feel pressure to fight Wilder, but after two (the fans said two boring) less than spectacular fights...boxing comes full circle. That's what I mean when I say "full circle". You have no choice but to fight your peer, oppugner, rival, and most formidable adversary. This isn't a bad thing. Joshua gets rid of the "scared" accusations, you have a 50/50 chance to win, and if you lose, it isn't the end of the world.
We do, only true fans of the sport want this though. Fanboys and casuals that are blindly and cluelessly just happy to play along with whatever their favourite guys says and does is literally the only reason this BS is allowed to happen.
Oh well, Hearn/AJ are gonna have to be quick...it’s only a matter of time before his mandatories pile up and he’s probably forced to strip a belt or two because he can’t keep up with it all. If he wants his big unification he better be quicker than he implies he will be.
sadly, what you said is probably the likely outcome. Hearn clearly doesn't want this fight in particular.
man, this wouldn't be good for the sport we need the biggest fights between the best

You read my mind.....get that 'body' (almost) that he was talking about.but even then after he beats whyte they'll put another steroid bum in front of wilder.jerrelle Miller or Alex P.
Have you seen the amount of Americans that have ducked fights?
If there is a place where cowards walk then it is the united states.
You're right i wasn't being all serious.
Anyway Hearn has made some pretty damn specific statements: accepts the rematch/reverse money split, will include Joshua after Whyte, Wilder doesn't have to go through Wilder, fight with Joshua is 80% likely to happen next (post Parker - now), must definitely happen in 2018 etc.
So yeah, if Wilder doesn't insist on finding excuses there's a lot of points to question Hearn on.
Wilder is ducking Whyte pure and simple! He should realize that he is the B side and cannot, totally, control the A side. BTW, his team cannot even offer a contract. Gosh!!!
I knew d committee would put whyte in wilder way to protect josh but now I want him to beat whyte to hurry up and take whyte out d conversation

whoever paid for that on PPV and showed up to watch live got their monies worth during the post fight interview. that is literally the only thing worth discussing that night. unless you wanna discuss blatant corrupt judges and a criminal inept referee. there was no punch or round or sequence that was memorable. nothing in that fight was highlight or gif worthy. it was one of those old school Wladimir stink fests we were all so happy to never see again with his retirement. AJ resurrected Wlad last night.
I have nothing else to add.
Couple of jabs a round. To me this was worse than Wlad vs Fury.
Way worse in fact.
Translation = AJ would rather not fight Wilder
He’d rather have a chance at the last belt fighting a guy he already beat
Absolutely TRUE and well said....Another way to avoid Wilder at every turn....and for Hearn to stay atop the gravy train......

Funny how this post have only 9 replies. The aj fanboys acting like they haven’t seen it.
A chanpions asking another guybto beat the other champion so that they can battle it out!!
Oh noooo....he is not ducking!!!!
Are you under the impression that AJ actually said anything to Whyte to where he wanted him to beat Wilder?
AJ can't even stand Whyte.
Whyte doesn't speak for AJ or anybody else but himself.
Bok, bok, bok. Bok, bok, bok.
That is all that is coming from AJ and Hearn when they hear the name Wilder. Of course, AJ wants someone else to beat Wilder, because he is scared beyond belief of Wilder. This is real fear. I have never once seen a professional boxer so terrified of anyone before. At least Wlad and Vitali took on all comers.
Still pissed about the stinker yesterday.
Goddamn it pissed me off. What else is, just watched the post fight press conference.. not a word of 'it wasn't really my night' or anything.
Fuk me. You put on a stinker after a million people paid to watch you on tv and 80k paid to watch in person.

This is stupid, how is an all British unification between two fighters who already met (Dillian getting KO’d) a bigger fight than a global unification between the US and UK where both fighters have near perfect KO ratios? Other DW stop listening to hearn and go fight Luis Ortiz or Parker or Big Baby. You babe t beaten anyone of note.

I am new to boxing, but based on what I've seen it appears that Anthony Joshua doesn't want to fight Deontay Wilder. I heard AJ say recently he is afraid to lose. Is that why he doesn't want to fight Wilder?
IMHO, AJ should fight Wilder even if he might lose. I respect Wilder more because he believes there should only be one champion and has been begging to fight Joshua.
Can anyone tell me why AJ is scared to lose?
Thank you for your responses!
