TYSON FURY is not ready for a world title fight and needs at least one more contest before facing Deontay Wilder, according to Eddie Hearn. Fury spent more than two years out of the ring battling self-confessed issues with depression and cocaine use. But the unbeaten heavyweight is back fighting fit and has been out twice in the last three months, albeit against weak opposition in the form of Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta. People crying in the thread but it seems to be taking long time to be getting finalised officially. I agree with Hearn, it won't happen this year.
How long did it take Hearn to announce pedvetkin/Joshua after saying the agreed to terms? I’ll answer for you 3 weeks, only you Hearn dick riders going on about a announcement
Look at Eddie trying to plant seeds of doubt in Fury's team's heads! Doesn't like being the bridesmaid in all of this. This could've been Eddie's fight--and I genuinely believe AJ wanted it, but Hearn apparently didn't think he was ready and pulled the ol' dodge, duck, dive, dip, and...dodge.
aj fight povetkin...wilder fight whatever garbage fight he was gonna do before fury stepped in...aj vs wilder in april while fury gets a couple more fights under his belt against decent opposition and then faces the winner of wilder vs aj.
The thing is, AJ v Whyte is a fight that I'll watch each time it occurs, but currently it's underwhelming. Why not have the Wilder fight in April? Nobody, apart from Whyte's people would rather see him take on AJ instead of a Wilder fight for the Wembley date.
Hearn/AJ got to be careful they don't start putting people off them with all this nonsense.
Agreed....
Fury is technically and fundamentally the better fighter even at this stage of his career. He just knows how to do more inside the ring and what he can or can not get away with. The problem is Wilder is arrogant enough to not respect Fury’s power. It’s different than when he was in there with Ortiz or even Stiverne in their first fight. Fury doesn’t represent any element of danger other than a points decision win. So I believe Wilder will come forward in pursuit as long as the fight lasts, knowing he needs (1) shot to change the complexion of the fight. And with this version of Fury not being as althletic as the Fury that fought Wladimir, that (1) shot may come sooner than later. But it really depends on Wilder’s training camp and how they teach him how to cut off the ring. He has been criticized in past fights for not doing that effectively and he will need to do that against Fury who will use all the real estate in the ring to stay away and counter. And if Wilder can’t cut the ring off, we are in for a long, boring fight that could go either way.
I agree but I think Wilder could end up looking like Chisora did in their 2nd fight if Fury finds his jab. Even if it doesn’t do enough to hurt Deontay, he can’t spend the fight being jabbed in the face by a giant and expect to survive.
Well said. Though I think Wilder will take his head off with his long levers. Pianeta was still able to touch him but with minimal effect
True, which is even worse for Fury.
Damn Eddie leave Tyson alone. Although his words should Fuel Tyson just in case he was having second thoughts.
Bronze has that effect on some people you know. Most people like Gold but some people swear by copper and bronze. Bomb squuuuaaaaddd::439:
Bronze is for losers.
povetkin is the hardest fight of his career? that says it all, why dont u let him fight some of the real contenders eddie hes meant to be a heavyweight champion why is he hiding??
Sue him for answering questions posed to him? You are reptile!
It is the beginning of September, this fight needs to be announced Within this week or I believe it won't be announced, unless the fight will go down in December
Fury has no USA boxing licence nor has he even yet applied for one. :lol1:

Fury going to lose a lot of credibility if this falls through so they better be putting a plan in place for Wilder to come over here. I'm not sure how long the process of getting a licence takes but I'd imagine at least a few months so you right.
Probably only takes two or three days, especially if you reward the right people on the licensing board.
Hearn would like to put doubt in Fury's mind and have him cancel his Wilder fight. Derailing the fight certainly works in Hearn's favor and a possible Fury, Joshua fight, leaving Wilder out of the picture.
Yeah I think if they make AJ vs Whyte in April that is the day I stop wearing my AJ long johns

Hearn getting annoying - you didn't want your fighter to go against Wilder and now your crying because Fury is on the cusp of doing so?
Get out of here with that Whyte fight for April too.
