Roy of even 3 years ago would beat Lacy and Calzaghe by UD or late KO. However, at this point of Roy's career, fighting Jeff Lacy would be suicide. I still think he might still have a shot of beating Calzaghe, but I would favor Calzaghe at this point of Roy's career.

Hopkins, Jones Jr, Tyson, Lewis are not frauds. They are the elite boxers of the past two decades and easily in the hall of fame. Michael Grant is a fraud.

Any Prince Naseem Hamed's entrances, especially when he comes out with a flying carpet. Roy Jones' entrance prior to the Clinton Woods fight was one of the fancy entrances in recent years. Corey Spinks' entrance prior to the second Judah fight was nice too. But too bad he got KO'd.

RJJ has more natural gifts than Floyd. The things that RJJ used to do cannot be taught or learned. Whereas, shoulder rolls and chin tucks that Floyd uses can be learned if done correctly.

Roy Jones is one of those fighters you will either love or hate. Roy Jones without a doubt had the most talent and physical gifts of any boxers I have ever seen. However, his legacy will probably never be as great as boxers such as Sugar Ray Leonard or Thomas Hearns. Could he have beaten these two fighters? Most likely. But due to the fact that Roy was considered "too great" is what made him "less great." Throughout his career, he made hall of fame fighters and good fighters look like bums, so people started questioning if his competiton was even that good. I put him in the top 15 P4P of all time.

the ideal weight for Toney at heavyweight is about 220-225 pounds, however I don't see him ever coming close to that weight again. At this point, I'll be surprised if Toney comes at 240 for the Rahman fight.

McClellan was a devastating puncher before his tragic accident, however Roy was a devastating puncher in his middlweight and super middleweight days too. I do not see McClellan winning a decision against Jones. There were reports that McClellan had stamina problems and fades at the end of the fight, while Jones has great stamina. The only way I see McClellan winning this fight is if he catches Jones with a hard punch in the first 4 rounds or so, if not, then Jones wins either by late KO or UD.

Roy Jones believed that Toney could've beaten any current heavyweight with the exception of Rahman. Roy Jones is very educated with the many styles of boxing and so far he has been on point with everything that he has said as an HBO analyst. However, I do not see how Rahman can win this one except using his strength to overpower Toney. I think Rahman got a puncher's chance.

Julian Jackson and Nigel Benn hit far harder than Jones ever could, even though Jones was very powerful back then, and McClellan took all their knockout blows. His chin is insane. He's not getting KO'd. It is said that the punch that hurts you the most is the punch that you don't see coming. I believe with Roy's amazing speed and power, he had the capabilities to KO him.

Toney was absoutely embarassed in that fight. Some people are discrediting Jones for that win because Toney wasn't in his 100% shape, but who's fault is that? Also, Roy suffering a broken right hand weeks before the fight, but people forget to bring that up. Just shows you how much of a talent Roy was in his prime.

i also do think judging a fighter with less than 20 fights is a bit too early. I agree, its a little too early to judge how good of a fighter Ward will become. However, he is labeled as "the next big thing," and being knocked down twice in ur first seven fights by questionable opponents gives suspicion on his label.

The only way I'll support Tyson making a comeback is if he is truly 100% dedicated, and if he works with Kevin Rooney again. He is the only person who can make Tyson the fighter he once was. Kevin Rooney even stated in several interviews that if Tyson ask him to train him, he will.

At this point of Roy's career, he is pretty much done. He still could probably beat 95% of the light heavyweights, but he no longer has the desire to fight anymore. Once you lose that desire, your pretty much done. If there was a rematch that should've happened at around 2001-2002, Roy would have probably TKO/KO in the late rounds or win a lopsided UD. However, at this point, I'd say Hopkins UD.

i'm sorry, even if i wasn't a hopkins fan, i'd disagree, he looked better in this fight than in his last and he's almost 41! I was more accurate, again. He lasted all 12 rounds, no problem. I might not be able to say that he clearly and easily won the fight, but the reason was definately not his age. Altho i always respect opinions. I never said Hopkins lost the fight due to his age. I'm saying that he is no longer the same fighter. In his prime, his work ethic in the ring was crazy but since he is getting older, his style of fighting drastically changed over the years. I just think that the style that he is fighting right now was slightly detrimental against Taylor.
