had 1 fight and got ktfo
that was a white collar match (unlicensed) though and there were no headguards
ill be sure to be more successful in the ABA's (headguards and licensed) no doubt
not harsh on Broner because atleast the guy is semi active, hes just not as good as marketed
Khan thinks he deserves the biggest fights while either struggling or losing to guys hes supposed to beat, hes fought like 3 times in the last 4 years and acts like hes a PPV super star
Also the guy contradicts himself everytime he speaks and has come up to a point where nobody takes him seriously anymore, if I could call anyone dumb in the sport my first choice would be Amir Khan.
Its a shame because at one point in his career I was really rooting for the guy but hes become a joke over the years
Pacquiao has improved a great deal under roach, he was basically a one handed slugger before he trained under him. Furthermore as hes gotten older hes become a good boxer which has preserved his career.
At this point however Pacquiao is done, hes not gonna learn anything new. Just hope they get adequate sparring for Lucas Maythesse. Pacquiao was sparring against 130lbs fighters for Jeff Horn because Konz thought at his age he didnt need the hard sparring
Thats all Mikey Garcia fans ever hold on too, the fact that he beat Orlando Salido who himself went on to cheat his way to a victory against Loma in his 2nd pro fight
If Salido ever finds the balls to face Loma in the ring again he'll get stopped guaranteed
Take the Salido victory away from Mikey and hes got absoutely nothing on Lomas resume, and nothing in general to even be in the top 8 P4P
Mikey is a decent puncher with good fundamentals but hes not a truly elite talent, hes a good talent but not an elite one.
Yea people forget spence was losing that fight against Kell Brook, Crawford may be able to outbox him until round 12.
Eroll spence is above the comp right now, but not by heaps and bounds.
So the best fighters have to rely on fouling in order to be the best?
I dont recall Roy Jones Jr or Manny Pacquiao cheating
Guys like Andre Ward and FM rely on fouling to win, its part of their game.
Floyd has been and always will be an ego maniac who desperately seeks the limelight even if the situation has nothing to do with him. Hes never had a big fan base, just a large group of people who wan to see him lose.
Isnt it strange how AJ has not yet denied the 'Superior black race' comment? Its always been Eddie Hearn.
I think if a reporter had the balls to actually ask him he'd admit it
Ive always said that BJS would outbox Lemieuxs ears off, BJS outboxed Eubank with ease and look where Eubank is now.
Hes a very slick fighter, hes just an slightly undersized MW imo. Looks more like a LMW if he really tried
If your skills are good enough it can overcome weight
So yea id make Loma the favourite against those guys except Danny Garcia (whos a quality fighter) and Nasaam since hes a MW
Ritchie Woodhall from the UK, I remember watching Eubank-Blackwell and I thought could this guy be anymore of a cheerleader for Nick Blackwell.
Hes really really biased when it comes to fighters he knows/likes, and thats not just him UK commentary usually are biased for their hometown or national fighter.
yea unless youre on the forums or really keep up to date with boxing you wont really know who the champion is in each weight division, yet a lone all the title holders.
Its a mess
I think his style of training is better with someone starting from scratch, since they are like a sponge and not set in their ways
Maybe he overcomplicates things when it comes to technique and fighters cant utilize it in a real fight, have no idea.
If he can do what Lara did except with less running and more punching done he could win
I thought Lara edged Canelo but Im not sure if BJS is as gifted as Lara
To be honest theres no evidence Amir Khan is not the same fighter he was a few years ago
Yea he lost to Canelo but he would have lost to him at any point in his career
He can come back and shake the ring rust, even if he comes back at 90% of what he was before he'll be competitive at top level
With Marquez and Floyd its important to point out not only was FM much bigger but Marquez was completely out of shape, it looked like he just came out of 3 week binge from Taco Bell
Hardly the same Marquez who fought Pacquiao the 3rd and 4th time
Do you think he doesn't listen or Sr doesn't allow someone else to take control? I don't think the Booth thing rests solely on Jr. I think Sr has turned Jr into an uncontrollable person, and Sr himself doesn't want someone else controlling his son. So Booth thought screw this I'm outta here.
Also what injury to his elbow?
Eubank Jnr had a chronic elbow injury throughout his career where hes tried treating it, not sure how it was caused. Thats why he developed his uppercut to the extend that he has.
Regarding Adam Booth apparently it was a sparring issue, Booth wanted him to do so many rounds but Eubank Jnr refused? Maybe someone could clear that up.
IIRC the dad had nothing to do with it, Booth just walked out because he didnt like Eubanks actions/attitude.
Also Eubank Snr tried bringing his old trainer (Eubank was trained by a puerto rican coach when he was in the states) to train Eubank Jnr but that only lasted a short time also. I remember them working on just the fundamentals like the jab-right hand and they would do it over and over.
So its clear Eubank Snr knew Jnr was lacking in those departments.
You might be right about Eubank Snr making his son that way, maybe unintentionally. His father was the same but nowhere near as bad as his son.
His father tried to get Adam Booth to train him but Eubank jnr just didnt listen
Eubank Jnr listens to nobody, thats his problem not his fathers
That said as long as he has that injury to his right elbow he will never have any power or confidence in the right hand, notice how he barely threw the straight right in the BJS and Groves fight.
