I think Bowe is also having some fun with this. I follow him on twitter so hes always tweeting out these funny thoughts. But what do I really know.
Anyway, so far hes done 78 tweets, which totals $1560. Not bad for easy money. He can afford Mayweather-Pacquiao tickets now lol
Garcia is one of PBC's brightest stars. You guys really think they'd give a gatekeeper the win over him? I'd be surprised if Garcia moved to 147 after this.
The whole closed circuit thing was never officially announced. TMZ just made a big story out of it and everybody ran with it. TMZ, who rarely if ever covers boxing fights. And yes that is the norm.
Honestly, I much rather pay 100-200 for a closed circuit viewing party than to pay 2000 for nosebleed seats. Those viewing parties, especially in a more intimate, smaller ballroom setting (as opposed to arena viewing like mandalay), are very fun to attend. The atmosphere will be great.
What pisses me off is that we are about 3 weeks away and not one word about any tickets or closed circuit. I hate doing things last minute so naturally It makes me nervous. Everybody is going to have to scramble.
But I won't let it stop me. I will watch on my phone in a casino bar If I have to lol
so teddy was on sportsnation and he picked pacman as his prediction to win the fight. but he goes on to talk about how manny might have been jucing and doesn't really explain why he picked manny lol
Dont give up and whatever you do, DO NOT PAY RESELL FOR CC TICKETS. There will be more spots opening up since all these sold out.
Here, not on sale yet but another chance to get CC tix, and its at the Aria.

Ive said it before i will 5K for 2. Wife may have words with me for going that high but once we there she wont mind. At least i hope she wont.
Now if they ever release them.
Question: Maybe someone can help but i hear that Oscar v Tito had no public sale of tix
Yes, Oscar v Tito had no public sale.
This was amazing. I can see why they opted for just one episode. Nicely done. Their production is always top notch. The intro and the outro perfectly summed up this whole saga. The outro got the hyped as ****ed and then when it faded to "At Last" and Etta James started singing, it couldn't had been better.
Even after the intro, the first piece, with the red carpet and everybody smiling, combined with the background music, thats really how it felt watching it. It finally happened, at last.
Lmao, Yeah cause the UFC has a monopoly and it's so bad for the sport.. They don't ever quickly give the fans the fights they want in each division all the time..
Aldo-mccgregor would have taken years to make in boxing, ufc makes it in less than 6 months.. I honestly can't think of one major fight in any division in ufc that didn't get made ASAP
The PGA monopoly is horrible for golf,,,, how dare they have all the best golfers compete against each other? Lmao.. Sports is one of the few areas that it's good to have a monoply, as in theory all players/fighters are under one banner and any game/match/fight can happen....
The biggest MMA fight that should have been made, never happened (Fedor v Brock). And you are under the assumption that Golden Boy and Top Rank and everybody else are going to go broke, die out, leave boxing and everybody goes to PBC because there is no choice. That will never happen. Nobody will lie down for anybody.
Is it even a good model for the fighters, themselves? Look how underpaid UFC fighters are compared to boxers. And notice how WWE, being the only big league, hurts their own product by taking out the competition, and another platform for wrestlers to earn a living.
In a perfect fantasy, of course all fighters under one banner would be great for the sport. But this is reality. And in reality, this can cause as much problems as the Top Rank/Golden Boy cold war did.
LOL this is the most ridiculous theory ever. Really? They are not out to get profit? Hahahahaha are they a non-profit organization working for charity? You do know that HBO has about 5 Million more subscribers than Showtime right? Boxing is not going to change that.
Now's as good a time as any for HBO to show some common sense and allow Golden Boy back on the network. They should press for Golovkin-Quillin. Both are fighting low level opponents and both are without a next opponent. If HBO publicly announces it is willing to do the fight, it puts the pressure on Quillin to agree to the fight. Seriously, how stupid would HBO have to be to turn down Quillin for Golovkin because he's with Golden Boy?
golden boy black balled themselves from HBO. they went all showtime even before HBO gave them the boot. Only GBP guys that were still fighting on HBO were Broner and Hopkins due to contracts. GBP takes all their business to Showtime, what do people expect HBO to do?
Martinez is my favorite fighter, but Chavez was NOT going to duck GGG. Chavez is a young prime guy who has no fear of any fighter. He already lost and has nothing to lose. TR was trying to protect him, but he's a fighter he wants to take em all on. Martinez is sounding a little icky here. I dunno. But Martinez himself may never fight GGG, and he is older and does not have to.
But Chavez aint scared of GGG bro. I actually earned respect for Chavez for how he dealt with the contract, and being a smart businessman. Unlike Bradley who signed an extension knowing that TR needed him to fight Pacman with or without it.
Pac had no one else to fight except Bradley. Bradley didnt have to sign the extension and he could have still could have demanded a high purse due to the fact that TR has no big name credible ww's for Pac.
He could have fought Pac, got out of his contract, went to Golden Boy and fought this stacked division. Now he will pad his empty ww resume with Rios, Pac 3 & 4, JMM 2,3, & 5, Mike Alvarado etc.
Bradley is the most unproven ww today. Will never fight any of the young guys at gb between 140 and 154. Dumb businessman.
LOL are you his accoutant? How do you know TR didn't give him a really good offer than he wouldn't have got from golden boy? Tim said himself he might retire with Top Rank. Seems fine with his pay. Its not like Tim is a draw. Other than a Mayweather fight, there isn't that much to be made there. His purses would have been smaller with Golden Boy. Why? HBO can pay more since they are the bigger network and has more viewers. Any purse he gets from SHO/GBP will likely have to be split between the co or triple main eventers because GBP doesn't have lots of dates and SHO can only spend so much on boxing. Which is why they stack their cards.
If we are just talking strictly business, since you called him a dumb businessman, staying with TR is the better business move. He is not making the money he made in the Pacman fight, anywhere else. Same with Chavez. The only other promotion that is worth a damn and actually promote fights and fatten fighters pockets, is Golden Boy. And we know he isn't going to Golden Boy. Where else can he go where he will be properly promoted to maximize his earnings? 50 Cent going to do that for him? TMT? LOL
How many blacks on average are walking around the Philippines? And Freddie roach clones?
Coincidence that a bold headed black dude fights manny with Freddie watching? Come-on! This is what the Filipinos want to see! It gets them thirsty for that drink!
bro thats clearly tim bradley!!
as boxing fans, we shouldnt even know his name. we went from talking fights to finance smh. boxing fans these days care about so much **** that doesnt even go on in the ring its silly.
Wait all this time I thought Floyd ducked Manny but now when the "cold war" is over we'll get all the TR vs GBP fights now?
Pick a side people.
Still wont happen. Mayweather is not Golden Boy, he is his "own boss"
http://boxing.nv.gov/uploadedFiles/boxingnvgov/content/telephone/2014-PRO-promoter-tel.pdf
I dont get it. So do they have one or not? That list says no. How did they put on their own shows without one?
if floyd retires, who will take his place as far as numbers?
NOBODY. I don't see anyone coming up, that would draw as much as Floyd or Manny. Those two transcended the sport. People who don't know boxing, know those two. People look down on PPV numbers under 1M for those guys because they are so use to seeing them do 1M+ buys.
i tried to give it a chance. rule #1 on uploading a video of yourself talking/singing: make sure the quality is good enough to actual hear. my god, that was horrible. is he singing into a computer mic from 1999? does he not listen before he uploads?
f*cking horrible. not funny nor hilarious. because you can't hear a damn thing
Still looks like it did better rating then Kovalev / Mohammedi, Which everyone last week was cheering as great numbers
to be fair, you are comparing a card on Free TV v.s. a card on a premium cable channel that you have to pay for. it should be a better rating by basic fact that its more available.
my biggest beef with PBC is that it just seems very low energy. the whole production of the show feels low budget. like, something is missing. doesn't feel like a typical boxing show. its a shame a war like mares vs santa cruz has to be held under the PBC model
No Surprise really because UFC>Boxing in America EASILY and UFC is starting to Pull Away and they will really Pull Away once Mayweather is out of the way. That being said, I don't think Haymon and PBC are upset with that Number At All. It just means that both Sports have their fanbase, MMA fanbase is WAY BETTER though because they don't have the Divide like boxing does. Boxing is in the middle of a Civil War between fans, Networks, Promotions, Fighters and everything else and that will likely be Boxing Downfall and it could push more Casual Boxing fans into MMA
I can't lie, I love Boxing but MMA is way more Interesting right now and MMA fans actually talk about the SPORT OF MMA and not The Networks, Promoters, TV Deals, Rating Numbers and PPV Buy Numbers. Forget Ratings, go look at Social Media activity. UFC on Youtube, their Press Conference, Weigh In Videos, all that that gets way more views. MMA on the way up and boxing is on the way out!
UFC numbers have actually been going down since their big boom. other than ronda, they don't have that many big draws. brock was their biggest and he left for WWE. if UFC can't find competition for Ronda soon, I expect her to bolt to WWE when she is bored.
UFC is dead after Ronda Rousey.
