Hey boxing fam, I tried to buy the regular ticket at 3pm, SOLD OUT in 1 minute.
Try to buy the closed circuit tickets SOLD OUT...
Im going to Vegas with my girlfriend and am this Sunday, are there any other alternatives to watch the fight on the strip? Im not trying to stay inside the hotel and watch the fight lol.
If anyone knows info help a kid out!
Go to a bar that's what im doing
Every bar i have phoned say that they are not showing it.
All bars off the strip.
If anyone finds a bar which is showing it PM me. Thanks.
Called Blondies ahd she said they dont know if they are showing it until Saturday morning.
Thats the same answer i got with another bar i tried on the strip.
Anyone know of any place around Vegas that is definitely showing it?
1. Hire two midgets that kinda looks like floyd and pac
2. Get booze. Make the two little bastards fight.
3. Charge people like 10 bucks to watch.
4. Profit
fuckers stole my idea.:grumpy:

Thanks boxing fam for all the infi and updates!! Good to hear more closed circuits might open up, blondies, etc.
Hell it was a once in a lifetime kind if fight,we all waited 5 years, so why not be in the ara with everyone and support boxing?!
Re: Circus Circus - they just tweeted that their closed circuit tickets are going on sale in 20 minutes (3 PM EST) and only by phone so would be calling them ASAP (1-800-634-3450) if interested in that as I'm sure those will sell out quick...

Yep. Who wants to go to Vegas?
What a drag. Way more fun in your living room.
I never said anything about going to Vegas but why go when you don't even know if you'll be able to catch the fight anywhere? Just to be part of the crowd and say you were there? STUPID

Man you're taking your gf? I hope you get some tickets somewhere for something cos it's gonna be embarrassing if you don't.
I don't understand why any of you would want to deal with the crowds and watch the fight at a damn bar or on cctv with some strangers when you can watch it on PPV in silence. Waste of time and money.

I don't know all the particulars of the setup but the woman on the phone was telling me that the seating was sold out and that the $200 charge was for standing room only I think. It also sounded like a first come first serve kind of thing so maybe more risk involved with Blondie's - especially with the massive crowds expected for this fight compared to even the Canelo fight. But if you are interested in that bar I'd strongly recommend calling them first for the details as I don't remember all the details the lady that worked there gave me...
Yeah it was standing room only for Canelo. I got there 2 hours early and it was jam packed already.
The free beer is what makes the deal so good. But I'll probably pass on it, because with the theater, I know my seats are reserved.
That would make sense.
Damnit. I'm gonna sell my closed circuit tickets and go to Blondie's.

It's my understanding that it's the non-MGM *casinos* and *hotels* (e.g., Caesar's Entertainment hotel casinos) that are barred from showing the fight and that the ban is effective for all of Clark County, not just the Strip. That's why they won't show the fight/have fight parties at any of the downtown casinos or any of the Station casinos like Red Rock off the Strip. But I don't get why people are acting like this is something new - this barring has been common practice for big PPV fights at MGM for at least a few years now.
But it's also my understanding that standalone bars (like Blondie's) not located in casino hotels can't be barred from showing the fight - even the bars on the Strip. That's why Blondie's has been able to show PPV fights in the past without issue.
I could certainly be mistaken about some of this but the above is my understanding and I think it's correct...

why would you pay all that money just to watch it on tv? you can do it at home for cheaper and without being around a room full of people you don't know
Read the TS predicament before replying - you tit.
Yeah, that's why I'm not sure if they are or not. I actually watched the Canelo fight at Blondie's (it was $100/person - free beer) and it was really cool. It was my understanding that no on-strip bar/casino would be allowed. They even shut down the downtown casinos, I believe.
I'm gonna be pissed if they're showing it this time. I didn't even bother calling them.
