At this point I'm getting tired of the inconsistencies of Golovkin's fanbase. You simply refuse to believe that he could be ducking Charlo, even if his own camp is on record for saying that he will not fight him unless he's forced. And his choice of opponents shows clearly that he is not interested in that fight. So on this note, I won't be posting on this board as a resolution. This is a waste of time and I'm sick of dealing with immature fanboys who derive their sense of identity from some fighter who not only does not know about them, but maybe even resents them. I bet GGG recoils when he reads all the things people say about him online. Fighters respect other fighters more than their fans, because they're the ones who actually have to fight them. So on this note, I bid you farewell, and I would like to salute those on this board who are truly about boxing. I can think of guys like boliodogs who I don't agree with and is a GGG fan, but a level headed and lucid one. I would also like to give a shout to Billeau2 and Marchiegano for their great knowledge. I would also like to show my love and appreciation to Golovkin, who, besides the poor choices he has made with his career, is a much better fighter than many give him credit for. And I would have him crushing Hopkins in a fight 1 one 1 for the record. And to the fanboys, I suggest that you go out and find something to be proud of yourself besides fighters. If you can't fight yourself, you can not derive pride from those who do. You should try to build yourself instead so you can look for a hero inside the mirror. With that being said, good luck to all the good people on NSB. I will miss some of you guys and maybe this board. Much love.

This is a very bad fight for him. He would suffer so much damage in that fight. That uppercut is so vicious, and that's the punch he's the most vulnerable too. He probably had nightmares watching that Derevyanchenko fight. But please don't fight Mungia, please! Fight Saunders at least. You know he wants it and it would be a respectable fight for you even if you lost. At least you don't risk getting knocked out. Please someone relay that message to him!!

This is an horrible fight. I don't want to see anyone above 154 fighting this dude. You can't feel too good about that fight. This is a bad match up and a fight no one wants to see. GGG is so poorly managed, I don't know who matches him. Or maybe he does. Either way, that person is severely out of touch. How do you feel about that crap? Please be real.

After all, he beat an overrated unskilled fighter with a trash resume according to you and a old over the hill champion in a snoozer of a fight, again, according to you focks. So how did he become the number one heavyweight in the whole focking galaxy overnight?? How does that add up???

This is a fighter who beat Arreola twice, and the second win was so glowing and dominant. If you didn't know, Arreola was very hyped and was seen as a future world champion at that time, especially after his performance against the first Klitschko. Stiverne doesn't get enough recognition for his boxing IQ either. The way he throws that counter left hook and lulls his opponents to sleep is very cerebral. And there's still no better overhand rights in the division, at least not from the boxers I know. So people need to stop dismissing Stiverne as a win and a fighter because he happens to be on Wilder's resume. This is in my opinion a better win than Ortiz, because we have no idea what Ortiz was on during his "prime". Stiverne was a solid win and he was a respected fighter before he fought Wilder. And judging him for any fight after Wilder is ridiculous. We can only imagine how much the Wilder fight took out of him when we consider the amount of damage he suffered.

...from 154 to 175 Everyone who knows know that this has the potential of being a technical masterpiece for the ages - or a complete dud. Either way I want to see it. And if Saunders is serious, congratulations to him. He's fighting perhaps the most avoided, overlooked, underappreciated, and underrated champion in the world. And he doesn't get much out of it except a nod from a few nerds. Kudos

He quits, he gets to keep his vision, get experience, grow into his man body and fight another day. He continues, runs the risk of losing vision, and he doesn't get more respect. No one cares about injuries when someone loses and the armchairs won't give you extra points. Why should he puts himself at risk? For the garbage boxing base?

I've seen enough evidence to say that it was possible that Tyson tampered with his gloves and more voices in the world of boxing are giving more credence to it. Believing everything Wilder says with no proof is bias, but it's just as bad to automatically assume that it would be impossible for Fury to have cheated in a very simple and plausible way.

Just thought I'd put things into perspective here.

Someone had to say it. Many of us only thought Loma would win because he's Ukrainian. Me included. I do the same thing with Cuban fighters. It's a bias. Can we stop with this already. The Eastern Bloc produces great fighters, Ukraine specifically. But as fans there comes a time when you need to have enough introspection to see when you're being a fanatic. When it's an identity thing. This also reflects when the fighter loses. It's like you lose touch with reality. The fighter can't possibly have lost, so you come up with the most dubious excuses. All to preserve your ego. And the scariest part is that you start believing them. Some people want to be able to say that someone who looks like them is dominant in a masculine sport like boxing. It helps them deal better with their own insecurities. Others don't like seeing a certain group being dominant, and want to see someone dominate them to alleviate their insecurities. If you're in any of these two groups, STOP WATCHING BOXING RIGHT NOW. You are polluting the debate. We're trying to debate who has the better footwork. Who has the best technique. The most heart. How potential match ups would play out and clash of styles. Not who is ducking who to allow you to call a warrior who does what you would never have the guts to do a "coward". Learn to appreciate the sport for what it is, whether the guy winning is white black blue or green. Whether the guy who looks like you wins or losses, it doesn't change a thing to your life. If you're a weak now, you will still be a weak whether Golovkin or Lomachenko wins or losses. Do something with your life instead. /rant

Just heard the the WBC is trying to institute a super cruiserweight division. Don't they understand that people have an aversion with the term cruiserweight? Why do you think the light heavyweights always got more attention than cruisers? Because there's heavyweight in the name! Just make cruisers heavyweight and anyone over 220 super heavyweights.

I see a lot of people using conjecture to judge how an fight between the current Tyson and top heavyweights would go, but, can someone tell me in which metrics Andy Ruiz is better than Mike Tyson we saw hitting the mitts? Is it chin? Power? Skill? Head movement? Angle/foot work? Stamina??? While I do agree that Tyson would probably lose to some fringe contenders at that point, I also think that if he chose his fight right, he could take some of the current top heavyweights out. How would you think a fight between the current Tyson and the Anthony Joshua we saw facing Andy Ruiz in the first fight would play out?

Like the Mayweather gym or the Kronk gym in Detroit. Empty arenas or ballrooms would be depressing. This would give it a gritty club fight feel, only with the best in the sport. Would love to hear the reactions of the coaches and few observers. The optic would be great my opinion.

I'm not going to lie, I'm just a few years into this, but was De La Hoya really that skilled? I'm reading those Lopez comments about Garcia, and to me, he seems much better technically than De La Hoya (yes, I know about the jab) who looked very sloppy at times with square stances and wild ineffective flurries. I feel like Garcia is so much more polished, educated, efficient, and has better mechanics. Is this nostalgia, or is there some Oscar magic in there I'm missing?

Who has the time to care about that ****? What kind of person cares about who the fighters they love/hate are focking are the **** they're buying? What the f0ck does that have to do about boxing???

It then becomes about who has the more money and connections to reverse decisions or bribe officers. Or who has the strong enough team to find and develop drugs that aren't on the banned list yet. There should be no rules and no testing, unless for full disclosure. As a new boxer, you have to be prepared for what you're getting into. But your progress isn't limited because you didn't have the proper backing or a team of scientists working round the clock to circumvent rules.

Mayweather ducked Margarito. Andre Ward retired to avoid Beterbiev. Why is it so hard for you people to believe that GGG is clearly ignoring Charlo, and that Loma's franchise title is to protect him from Haney?

Fury is Wilder's most dangerous opponent and vice versa. Joshua is the safest fight for both and them and the most potentially lucrative. They are both the riskiest for him as well. The only logical reason for those two to fight each other instead of Joshua is that the deals they were offered had something wrong with them or were downright hostile. Simple as that. And I don't want to hear any of you talking about career high multipliers. Show me the splits.

Make no mistakes about it, Pascal has never looked better than he does now. Even got more power. I attribute much of it to his new physique. He's much slimmer now and has less muscle to maintain. He used to be a 4 round puncher and slower with less pop. Now, while he still has trouble in the late rounds, he can still keep some in his gas tank for a last hurrah. Punching looks tighter as well even if he has his wild streaks. Has this ever happened before in boxing?

Joshua fixed most of the things I had against him. He used to be slow and sluggish with no mobility. His upper body movement was extremely painful as well. He now looks like a completely different fighter. And the way he used his reach not only to keep Ruiz at distance, but to negate his lead and right hand was genius. Changing pad men was the best decision he could've ever made in his life too. Pre-Ruiz Joshua had no chance, but this version definitely gives him a fight. Gained a lot of respect from me and possibly even a fan. Go Joshua

And as a good British gentleman trying to stand for what is right. They are trying to freeze out black fighters because they aren't as marketable.

If there's one known boxer who had the highest chance of being clean it was Paulie Malignaggi. Yet, he had all the tools needed to be a great in this sport. He was just a casualty of this dirty game. He deserves more respect, but he will be forgotten sadly for daring to play the game how it was supposed to.

If the fight was such a clear cut robbery, how come the only winning card for GGG was so close?

I see you focks b1tching and moaning about Fury fighting Otto Wallin. You focks are aware that he's about to fight the most fearsome puncher in the heavyweight division for a second time right? Why the fock should these fighters go through th gauntlet for every time because of you asswipes. Same goes for guys like Golovkin and Lomachenko. Sure, GGG took some questionable decision, but him fighting Steve Rolls made perfect sense and Lomachenko has done enough to fight nobodies for a little while. How do focks expect these fighters to manage their careers???

Noticed the usual suspects trying to slander Spence again, the same usual suspects who watched a man camp in the same division for 10 years making a career of fighting smaller opponents. IBF has a rehydration rules for all title bouts. If you want to call people weight bullies, do the same with other career campers like Kovalev, and mister 154 to 168 too. While I do agree that the Kell Brook fight was a disgrace and that he shouldn't have ducked Derevanchyenko to fight Martyrosyan, this one is a perfectly understandable move. He isn't trying to risk his payday with Canelo, this is pure business. My only problem is when you focks try to shame others for doing business moves as well. Like Charlo not risking his mandatory spot to fight nobodies or when Canelo vacated his belt because the WBC was trying to force negotiations on such an important fight. Be consistent and b1tc# out when your darlings are doing b1tc# moves to protect their money. All fighters are out there to get paid. They don't give a fock about your honor and the image you have of them. You heard it first here folks. I've seen Pacquiao train, and his footwork looks better than ever. Thurman's "some time" power will be nothing to him, and the gap in hand speed between the two will do him in. It's going to be an ugly loss for Thurman. I don't see him getting past the seventh. This is going to be a sad, sad night people...

People for some reason seem to want to perpetuate this idea that it was Joshua's loss and not Ruiz's win to preserve their hype up image of him. But I'm not sure he and his team actually believe all of this. I would personally advise against a rematch. A second devastating loss would send his stock to the ground. On the other hand, he can still make some good money fighting the likes of Fury, Wilder, or even up and coming fighters like Daniel Dubois or Joe Joyce. Who knows, maybe one of these two will get their hand on a strap and give him a chance to get back into discussions. Best decision is to take that loss and move on. Don't think Hearn will risk it anyway.
