Make no mistakes about it, Pascal has never looked better than he does now. Even got more power.
I attribute much of it to his new physique. He's much slimmer now and has less muscle to maintain. He used to be a 4 round puncher and slower with less pop. Now, while he still has trouble in the late rounds, he can still keep some in his gas tank for a last hurrah. Punching looks tighter as well even if he has his wild streaks.
Has this ever happened before in boxing?
Only really Hopkins.
And let's be real, before the like 2000s, that shxt never happened.
Historically, boxers primes coincided with everyone else's pre 20 years ago
Now, all of a sudden guy's primes are 34, LOL
Floyd hit his prime in his mid 30s after he came back from his career break.
He came back bigger and with much more muscle and an insight into PEDs
What was he doing on his career break, away from any testing.
That's why I always say it's Miles instead of Age. Hopkins didn't start boxing until he was in prison in his twenties.
And look at Amir Mansour
Maybe it's both?
Age AND mileage affects.
Pascal does fight better now than he has in a long time. He is throwing better shorter more accurate punches and seems to be throwing more punches than ever before.
Apparently Donaire is past his prime, and beating Ryan Burnett and having FOTY against Inoue just proves Inoue is trash.
Sergio is a good example though.
Nah idk why anyone would think that
And Sergio is almost the poster boy of reaching prime late age
Just cuz Pascal been winning fights don't make this his prime, if thats the case Donaire had a second prime too.
But Sergio comes to mind

As I already mentioned, Hopkins didn't even win a world title until he was over 30.
He went on to completely unify the middleweight division and then win the light heavyweight title three separate times, including a unification win at age 49.

Hopkins did the same thing TO Pascal

Carl Froch was according to himself, breaking all of his records in training when he fought Lucian Bute & Mikkel Kesseler.
'Froch had documented every single training session since he turned professional in detail, all of his performances for specific exercises etc'
By his own words he was at his absolute peak.
