If there's one known boxer who had the highest chance of being clean it was Paulie Malignaggi.
Yet, he had all the tools needed to be a great in this sport. He was just a casualty of this dirty game. He deserves more respect, but he will be forgotten sadly for daring to play the game how it was supposed to.
paulie can take all the peds in the world and he'd still have that cotton balls for fists
he's a mouth with legs....a bitter, jealous, feminine fighter
No. Paulie had a lot of flaws in his game
and had a very basic style with no back up plan. That is why he was never the top guy in any weightclass. He might scrape by a decision here and there but against an actual contender or champ he will always come up short.
This is also not mentioning his lack of physical strength. Even though he didn't have power on his punches he also lacked any strength to get guys respect on the inside. Not sure if ever worked on becoming stronger but it sure seem like he never did.
His claim to fame will be going the distance with Cotto which means other fighters wanted to box him to see if they could stop him and one up Cotto to boost their resume.
I don't mean to downtalk his career but to me Paulie's biggest setback was himself. He always seemed to arrogant and too much of a know it all to improve his obvious weaknesses when he had the time to back in his prime. It was typically always because other people were cheating or hinting at such.
Or as I always thought which is going to sound mean but I mean no offense. Paulie was not born for combat.

wrong.. paulie is so salty because he himself was also on the juice but didnt perform anywhere near the fighters he's accusing of. that's why he stays salty... imagine cheating to be great but then ends up getting laughed at. of course this is gonna trigger anyone to be salty about it. i prolly would be salty too if i cheated but didnt get the same result
Wilder is on Olympic style testing, 365 days a year?
I can’t find any evidence for that, do you have a link?
Just google it. It has been reported many times over last few years.
I have a theory that Paulie was a doper all along, but didn't achieved the success he wanted even with it. Recently, I just noticed that most of these doper accusers were actually the one being caught as a steroid user.
Why is this?
It stems from their guilt, I think they knew that they were cheating and putting the other fighter's life in danger, so to ease their guilt, these steroid users started to think that everyone is doping too. These is their coping or defense mechanism to ease their anxiety and guilt feeling.
Paulie was never going to be great or even good clean or not.
Paulie was already good and that was with the power and bone density of a 12 year old schoolgirl
good boxer and great commentator but the dude had made in China glassware for hands. no amount of roids would have helped.

Nothing a little HGH couldn't fix
Im not sure how that would cause bones in the hand to heal i haven't got a clue about all that. Its possible but i can't say for sure mate.
I think damaged hands hurt him more than anything. He couldn't punch hard enough to command respect or stop people in there tracks like floyd could even with damaged hands.

Exactly.... when bronzer whopped him up, I regaled Pauline had heart, but no chin, no power.
