Wow just wow. These people were about to swear that this fight wouldnt happen. It did and Floyd dominated so I wonder what these guys were thinking right after the fight. Oh right "IT WAS FIXED!":pat: smh
I agree, he won't KO Pac, because Pac isn't going to walk in there with no fear, face first, and try to bull rush him, because that would be a mistake. Pac's going to give Floyd a lot of respect, and try to pick his shots, and still get schooled silly.
LOL this guy had it right!
Maidana and Rios are about the same in terms of skill level and even have a similar aggressive style. They often spar together and those sessions are always very close and evenly-matched.
If Floyd ever fought Maidana it would be the same as Pacquiao fighting Rios. Now if Floyd did chose Rios (a guy Manny just beat) I think most would be dead against that fight.
As everyone knows Khan already beat Maidana clearly and Maidana has not improved in any way since he fought Khan. He's the same fighter as before but against Broner he was back to the same sort of form as the Khan fight.
He went through a bad patch after his loss to Khan, depression and a drop in motivation plagued him with the realization that he had been beaten by a clearly better fighter, he fell out of love with the sport until he connected with Robert Garcia where the change of scene has brought back the passion he needed to once again be a top tier fighter and return to the level he was at when he lost to Khan.
The bottomline of course is that how could Floyd choose one of Khan's former victims instead of Khan himself? Wouldn't that be like Floyd choosing to fight Brandon Rios instead of fighting Pacquiao?
Exactly..
Wrong! Maidana has improved since the fight with Khan and if you can't see that you truly don't know boxing. In that fight Maidana was just a come forward power puncher with little to no head movent. Since he has teamed up with Robert Garcia he has improved greatly. He moves his head more, he feints, he goes to the body, and he sets up traps.
If Maidana and Khan were to rematch I'm 100% sure he knocks Khan out.
that Manny's victory over Barrera>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>anything on Floyd's resume?
No, but it's a great win nonetheless. Barrera had already been through many wars by the time Manny got to him and had losses already.
If Floyd does it...Its skill. He is the master..... woo woo woo
If Manny does it he is shot. Not the same. Boring. :AOR:
The dumbness on here is entertaining as fuk
Man, you gravitate to a thread that mentions Floyd the way a fly gravitates to sh*t.
As a Floyd fan I ALWAYS knew Broner was overrated trash and was happy he lost! No pretending here. I know there are plenty of Floyd fans who disliked Broner as well. These guys aren't in the same league...
Here is a link to a thread I started dedicated to Floyd fans who hate Broner back in September:
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=611631
Man, are you even a fan of boxing or Mayweather hater who's actually his biggest nuthugger? I haven't seen you post in anyting that wasn't Floyd-Pac related.
I pick everyone to beat Floyd. But id bet big bucks that PM beats Floyd. #1 i dont think Floyd is all that with his lame ass boring defense. PM has a great Jab high work rate and good chin. With a ton of heart. Id love to see Floyd and Paulie. Been wanting this for sometime.
Damn you are one delusional MF! You pick everyone to beat Floyd yet you continue to follow Floyd's career harder than anyone on boxingscene? Bro you need help.
Yes, you do have to take into account that Pacquiao is a foreigner who grew up poor while Mayweather (although not rich) is a U.S. citizen had a world champion father of the same name to motivate him. Floyd had advantages that Manny didn't have just being born in the United States. It says a lot about Manny that he has been able to achieve what he's achieved.
But... given the hype that both of these guys get, I think Manny should still be pulling more than what he has been pulling.
I prefer Showtime simply because the commentators come off as less biased. Lately Jim Lampley has gotten very annoying and more biased as time goes on. Also, the guy strikes me as emotionally unstable with all the crying. I don't miss hearing Larry Merchant either.
HBO needs to get a new commentating team and I disagree with the Max Kellerman comment, I think he is a pretty good commentator.
Bro, if Floyd fights and beats Pacquiao are you going to dismiss the win because Marquez already KO'd him? It seems like that's going to be your excuse because you already have an excuse for Floyd's recent wins.
I agree with many of the sentiments in this thread. Ward is hard to watch, he has a great boxing IQ but his style is not aesthetically pleasing at all. The guy clinches way too much. He basically hits you then hugs you to prevent being countered.
I'd much rather watch Floyd fight. He uses head and foot movement along with the shoulder roll to avoid getting hit. His style is much more pleasing to the eye.
I'm inclined to listen to the man that's known to prop up Floyd more than the most die hard Floyd groupies, over some random Floyd groupies that think Floyd's Superman in disguise.
This video does not discount anything I said. Mayweather sr. simply stated the size differential would be too much if they fought at 160. That's why I stated this fight would only be viable at 154. I think at 154 Floyd has a chance at beating GGG.
Shhhhh you know 95% of the site havent seen the fight.
Bro, I'm a huge Floyd fan and I thought Castillo won that fight. It was close though but I had Castillo winning 7 rounds to 5. Castillo fought kind of dirty I will admit however.
Don't lose hope man. This fight Still has hope. Tyson wants, a lot of fans want it. Someday your boy will grow a pair.
LOL, if he's such a coward why do you want to see this fight so bad? That makes no sense. Hopefully Pacquiao gets KO'd again so you can go back into hiding like you did after Marquez waxed his a$$!
Coz he hasn't been invited back to espn yet.
That's not the pt. the pt is PAC fights who the fans want him to see, and it shows in his actions he wants it. Unlike Floyd recent comments. Pacquiao who? Do your homework doll?
The eyes don't lie. PAC is confident. He wants Floyd even before he fought rios. This video says it all.
Then why doesn't he just call Floyd out himself? Instead of saying "it's up to my promoter Bob Arum!"
Did you just get out of prison? Stranded on an island maybe...or just plain out there? Where you been...:AYWOoD:
Those videos aren't call outs. They are no different to when Floyd said "We can make the fight happen."They are simply interviews where he's asked if he wants to fight Mayweather and he says "sure" But he's never brought up Floyd's name without being asked first and has NEVER called Floyd out when Bob Arum was in the room.
It's simply "It's up to my promoter"
First of PACquiao camp denies that. How? Floyd's camp don't even have the freaking proof of the email itself. If you may recall teddy atlas was embarrassed and had to sneak his way out of his reporting without proof, and what he got was only hear say from mayweather's camp. he could have lost his license as a journalist for reporting news without proof lol
Secondly, man it's almost 2014, your news is way back 2012 homey. Live in the present. Mike Tyson wants to see that fight. You dig?
Thirdly, Floyd had to pay PAC an outside court settlement for his defamation case he lost for ruining pac's name. Boom! Burned again!
I think you're living in the past. This fight lost its luster over a year ago. Let it go man. All your threads are about how Floyd doesn't want the fight. Well if he doesn't want the fight the fight isn't going to happen now is it?
Just give it up bro.
It's one of the most overused cliche's in boxing you think Mayweather coined that phrase lol
This is like the third thread on this you idiots didn't watch Pacquiao vs Margarito? It was the same ****ing fight.
I'm sure the phrase has been used before Foyd. But I don't hear many boxers saying what Floyd has been preaching for years and Manny has only JUST started saying it. I think Pac and Roach have seen Mayweathers longevity and are taking note. And dumbass Pac fans just accept whatever Manny does lol.
And no Pac Margarito was not the exact same fight. Pac took way more punishment in that fight.
Although Bradley is undefeated and has fought some good competition I still feel he is way too high. I think Floyd and Ward are lightyears ahead of him in terms of skills and natural talent. Bradley is a goo dfighter but he doesn't do anything particularly well. He's just "good" at everything he does but not great.
Some of you guys are spot on! Yes many guys try to use the philly shell but they don't understand why it works for Floyd. Some guys don't even roll the punches they just use the stance without understanding why it works so well.
Floyd rolls the punches, he bobs and weaves, he counters well, and he uses foot movement to make his style as effective as it is.
Broner does it ok but he doesn't over his feet or his head well enough and sooner or later it's going to catch up with him.
even his harshest critics have to admit that.
Numbers and results dont lie. Undefeated. Almost 20 champions and titlists defeated. 4 lineal titles. half his total wins are in title fights.
Its pretty obvious.
I dont understand why you're in the red, man. You're a good poster.
