But if he gets inside he wont be able to dodge Wlads punches. He could block them, but blocking a bigger and heavier puncher will tire you out and eventually break you. Its not like you can just go inside a taller fighter and come out without a hit.
LMFAO!!!! Wlad cant fight for $hit inside but Roy wouldn't sit inside, i think you really forgot how fast Roy really is, Roy could weave under the jab/st8 right and throw a nice hook to the body and bouce out b4 Wlad pulls back his hand lol! Wlad would be that slow to Roy, Roy has great foot work n I think he could get the angles he need to work Wlads body without having to block any punches, so I see Wald slowing down b4 Roy.
I dont see any1 dominating Floyd but I think the hitman could beat him, but every1 else IDK, ppl say if they catch him with the same shot as SSM, but forget that, that isnt a prime floyd, a prime floyd wouldn't get hit like that, I'm not sayin no other person can beat floyd but I really feel no one can dominate floyd like ppl think/want to see.
First of all I'm not making a case for Roy beating Wlad... But it would be harder for Wlad to outbox Roy than it would be Haye.
I don't care if Haye is one of the fastest HW's... He wasn't faster than Roy.
Aside from size and power... he doesn't do anything better than Roy.
He's not quicker, he doesn't have better footwork or head movement, he's not more accurate, he's not a bette counter puncher or better at dictating distance(Not that Roy would necessarily be dictating distance in this fight)... he doesn't have better stamina..
I'm saying if Wlad doesn't knock Roy out, and it's simply a box fest... Wlad would have a harder time with Roy... He's much quicker, much harder to hit... and he wouldn't get tired like Haye does...
Agree! SMH! at the ppl who compaire Haye to RJJ LMAO! Haye is a not even close to posessing the skills that RJJ had.
Thats true, but then what can he do on offense? Wlad is not the type to throw wild punches, he might not be able to land every jab he throws, but that would mean Jones refuses to go inside.
This means the fight ends in another boring decision win for Wlad, on the count of Jones landing way less than Wlad.
I think Roy would work Wlads body, I think Wlads would have to KO Roy cause I think Roy would outpoint him with his speed and angles, and with Roy goin to the body that would slow down Wlad even more in the later rounds so I give Roy a great chance to beat Wlad.
I agree wit Toney! Floyd did wat he needed to do, I personally feel Ortiz gave up I felt he could have got up but he has no ****n heart at all, and I personally feel if Ortiz had got up ppl wouldnt be trippn on this ****. Ortiz i feel took a dive, he was by far the most happiest loser I have ever seen, I knw personally if I felt like a guy sucker punched me I'd at least confront him or atleast try my hardest to get up even if I had to stumble, but ortiz showed no sigh's of trying to get up it was like he was content on what just happen which is the total opposite of what he was preaching in his interviews. If any1 is to blame I'd place it on Ortiz for not showing any heart.
I say Khan because he is a dangerous, young fighter that will be a great fighter, I also would say Sergio but Sergio is getting old I dont think ppl will give him as much credit for beating Sergio then Khan, but if he beats both and never faces Manny I will be ok with Mayweathers Career.
I see Manny taking the first 2-3 rounds and then Floyd adjusting to his speed and throwing manny off his timming which then it all floyd from there, Manny fights 1 way and 1 way only and cant adjust as much as floyd can so if he is getting caught comming in he's gonna keep getting caught, Manny is a great fighter but Manny plays checkers where if he fights Floyd it becomes a chess match and floyd is the master of that. But I do think it will be a great fight but I just think floyd is too smart and crafty for Manny.
It's funny how ppl are taking this fight an compairing it to if mayweather where to fight Manny, just cause ortiz hit him with sum good punches, did ppl forget we seen a style from floyd that I havent seen since the gotti fight? He was way more aggressive and put together some great combos. Ppl tend to forget that Floyd fights his fight and adjust to whatever his opponet does. So compairing how he fought vs ortiz is really making ppl look stupid.
Super-cosign.
Look at Ortiz' record. He doesn't stop guys late. Ortiz has early power. And in four rounds, he didn't make a dent on Floyd. Shane and Zab landed better shots on Floyd.
Ortiz was done. He bailed himself out of a Gatti-esque beating. VO was tryingt o get himself DQ'd. That is what you call "pulling a Zab".
Zab is an expert at finding creative ways to avoid a beating.
Co-Sign!! I personally thought Oritz was mentally broken by Floyd. He's not a dirty fighter but when he headbutted Floyd that told me that he was gonna loss that fight weather it be Ko'd or just totally dominated thurout the fight.
I just wonder if ppl h8 on floyd cause he's floyd or wat, cause I see a lot of ppl complaining about wat Floyd did but I wonder wat these same ppl would say if Ortiz seriously hurt floyd wit that flying headbutt he did would they say "Floyd is just acting"? Or "Floyd didnt wanna continue to fight"? I really think ppl need to just accept what happen an STFU, I totally agree wit Kendall Holt "Ortiz started the dirty tactics first. Don't start no **** won't be no ****" If Ortiz never threw a headbutt he wouldn't have that **** come back on him period. Ppl are pardoning this cat Ortiz for the **** he did but quick to jump on this ***** floyd for catchn this cat slippin, like I said in other threads, u go in the ring wit kisses n hugs 9X outta 10 u gettin KTFO. Ortiz already made his gesture no need to do it again after Cortez said lets go an signals time in.
Im still a floyd fan but only cause Im a huge boxing fan, just cause he took advatage of the #1 rule in boxing dont make me like him less, ppl are still gonna pay for his next fight regardless of what floyd did. Truthfully ppl are taking this whole sucker punch thing too far, they forget Ortiz headbutted Floyd first. Floyd told him if he makes a mistake he gonna to pay!!!! Well Ortiz made 2 (i.e. Headbutt, and not keeping his guard up at all times)
Ok I tired of ppl talkin bout the sucka punch, but all i gotta say is Ortiz shoulda put he damn hands up, if i seen the person that im fighting with there hands up im not gonna try to giv him a damn hug, "Hand down Man down" (n my Mark Jackson voice) It is wat it is, Floyd Ko'd Ortiz thats in the books, I think ppl are mad cause it was Floyd. I think if it had been flipped ppl would be saying thats what he gets. N no im not a Floyd hugger, Im a boxing fan, Ppl need to understand that boxing aint a nice sport, you cant be goin into the ring with hugs and kisses and not expect to GKTFO. LOL!
When he did that I knew floyd had broke him down, you could see he was very discouraged in that fight, thats why i crack up when ppl said that if floyd didnt KO him he woulda made it more competitive an possibly won. I gave Ortiz a punchers chance, and when I seen that he wasnt able to hit floyd like he wanted i knew it was over. But to tell you the truth I didnt expect Floyd to break him down that quickly.
When it happened and after it happened? Everyone initially thought it was dirty so I dont get why Victor's team didnt stir sh*t up???
....
IMO bruh, I really think Ortiz was broken down mentally, I think he didnt have a answer for wat floyd was doin and gave up to tell you the truth. I really believe he felt he couldn't win the fight an I believe his corner felt the same way. I say that cause I've never seen Ortiz use dirty tactics, an the way he did it, it was like he snapped and then came back to earth an tried to make up for wat he did. But thats just my opinion.
You have good points but I think he respected Ortiz as a fighter but he knew he would beat the breaks off of Ortiz, I think he already knew what to do to in the ring to beat Ortiz, thats one of the reasons why he picked him to fight, that and he is younger, stronger, bigger, and a up and comming fighter. I also think Floyd did it to silence his critics and to up 1 on Manny cause let be honest Manny last few fights have not been against ppl that wouldn't be competitive nor have been fresh.
I went with RJJ, Roy probably had the best skills outta all of them but thats not saying he is the best fighter ever, but skill wise there is no ive seen that was as gifted as Roy, Floyd is gifted but not as close as Roy or i think even SRL, I like all the fighters you named but Roy stands out the most to me as far as skill wise.
To be honest, it might seem unrealistic but if people can want Mayweather to fight Martinez then Chavez shouldnt be out of the question.
I can't see Chavez jr cutting off Mayweather to go to work, he's too slow.
Agreed wit ^this, Chavez Jr is too slow and I think he would have Str8 Right Hand to the face nightmares for the rest of his career after facing Floyd.
Floyd is right in the sense that cause he is asian it gets more hype, and that's not anyones fault, it is a dominatly black league and to see another race do well and excell on the big stage on a big market team is good. This is nothing new, remember when Yao first came to the league ppl couldnt w8 to see Shaq Vs Yao, its pretty much the samething. I have no problem with Lin he is a soild player i liked him when he was with the Warriors, I think its good for the sport to see another race excel in any sport.
The biggest point in that fight was that Vitali was winning and lost on a technicality. And, there should have been a rematch.
The real point is that Vitali lost point blank period!!!! Ppl need to accept it. Im tired of this. If you need to use an "if" when explaining why a fight shoulda won or woulda won there is no need to explain. Should he have gotten a rematch? probably, but end the end Vitali ended up a champion so ppl need to get over it(not u bruh, just ppl that are still bring this **** up)
:bounce::bounce::bounce:
Martinez out boxes Chavez jr and MAYBE gets a TKO late.
I do expect Martinez to out box Chavez Jr but the real thing is that can Martinez slow down Chavez Jr and is father time gonna creep up on him in this fight? But my $ is still on Martinez but I wouldnt be surprised if Chavez Jr get a TKO in the later rounds.
Everyone talking about Chavez chin, we all know he has a chin but that doesnt mean he can't get dropped we all thought Paul Williams(Wishing him the best) had a solid chin and we all seen what happen in the 2nd fight, so it's hard for me to think Chavez could win other then father time catching up to Martinez or Martinez doing something stupid like try to brawl with Chavez.
Broner.....
^This!!!! But I have a strong feeling that this dude is the real deal tho but only time will tell, id like to see him step up his competition.
SMH! @ Khan, he is really just a flash in a pan IMO, has a lot of skill and talent to be great but lacks the defs, and chin to be. But I like to watch his fights because I know there is a good chance I could see a huge KO LOL!
calzaghe beat prime chris eubank. ward will never fight a great fighter as good as eubank. he can never surpass joe calzaghe.
:haha: SMH! Chris Eubanks really? Froch>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chris Eubanks, yes Eubank was a solid fighter not great.
Mayweather is much faster and exponentially better defensively. Only time will tell. Anthony is very skilled, don't get me wrong. I just feel he's way too slow to able to compete at Wards level. He seems to get hit a lot from what I've seen. Ward will tag him at will. I'll place my bet on Ward if / when the time comes.
Agree wit you bruh, Ppl dont understand how much Ward has grown in these years, and ppl think that Ward only fights 1 way. Ppl need to go back and watch film on Ward an seen how different he fights ppl, he is very skilled and will only get better, he is already a smart fighter, i really believe Ward has the ability to become the next Floyd, he is definatly smart enough to do so. But only time will tell.
RJJ was the best due to it having blazing speed and power, Floyds str8 is more of a score punch, he uses it to keep his opponet off balance not really a hurtful punch but effetive as f*ck, and Mannys comes when you least expect it he has really improve that st8 left but all in all RJJ is the best.
PPL on this thread crack me up! Ima fan of AA but he got outboxed by Froch!! Froch is not a great boxer. Speed kills, and Ward will go to the body of AA early and coast 12 rounds, AA has a punchers chance but thats really bout it, Ward doesnt gas out like Dirrell so I dont c AA catching Ward at all.
