He has a gym in Columbus, Ohio. It's in a real shitty neighborhood though. I'm not sure if he has much money but i heard he lived in a nice place in the suburbs of Columbus. His parents live in a really shitty area of town that is filled with gangs.
Italian vs Puerto Rican at the MSG before the Puerto Rican day parade...Nuff Said.
I agree. Definately Paulie Cotto. I'm gonna work my ass off to try and go to this fight.
Damn I hope this fight happens. I think they are almost identical when it comes to their talent. To me this would be an excellent matchup. If Malignaggi fights like he did against Cotto then he has a real opportunity to win.
Don't you think it's still too early to tell? Oh wait, I forgot you're Sicilian :D
All seriousness, I was very impressed with this kid. He may not have the punching power that fans go crazy about but he's got one heck of an exciting style.
Yea I know it might seem that I am bias but honestly Paulie can box. I'm not just saying that cus I'm Italian but it's evident in his performance tonight. It is still early and he hasn't been fighting the best of competition but he he has the skill to be world class.
In my opinion Paulie is the truth. His power is obviously not anything dangerous but he can flat out box and that's all that matters. I think he can definately be world class and if he keeps his hand healthy he is a definate threat. This kid is gonna be somthin.
Dude, I have been talking about Malignaggi for MONTHS and now you come on tonight calling him the truth. What a freakin joke. I was talking about him when people were bashing him calling him a fag.
Yea thats bull shit. You called Gatti an overhyped fighter by the white media and now your all on his nuts. I'm sorry I don't switch my race every month like you. First you were balck and now you wanna be Italiano but we don't want your Irish ass. Why don't you hype up your own fighters like Duddy and leave the real paisan to hype up our fighters.
is it just me or do you also think that in modern boxing we see more ppl switching stance than in the past (say 30+ years ago).
I mean,
If a lefty does it (pea, hagler, nunn off the top of my head), ok...
if it's floyd... ok
if it's roy jones... ok
if it's oscar... "ok"
but gatti... what the hell?!?!?
I am talking about switching stance on the outside
What's wrong with Gatti switching stances? He was setting up his left hook by going southpaw. I think anyone should do it if it gives you an advantage in a fight. It's not Gatti's fault that Damgard has no defence.
Three threads I made about him MONTHS ago.
The first link is all the way back from August. Get off my dick beyotch.

I see Gatti for what he is. A rudimentary brawler. You think he's the second coming of Jesus Christ. That's the difference.
You are officially the dumbest poster on this site. I never refuted your claim of making threads about Maliganggi. I said you were a wanabe Italian which you are. And that now you are praising Gatti when you used to hate him because he wasn't black. And I've known about Paulie for years now so get off my nuts kid. I've actually see the guy in person which is more than you can say. My grandpa told me bout Malignaggi a while ago and ever since I've liked him.
I'd have to say De La Hoya just for what he has done for the sport. I know he is the one who got myself into the sport and he has made a good impact on the sport. He was also incredibly talented as well. He has been one of the best fighters for the sport in years imo.
I just finished watching the Gatti/Mayweather fight on HBO and thought I would ask the question... Which is worst and humiliating, being KOed with one punch or being beat into submission from an accumulation of punches.
I watched it as well, and I can see that it would be humiliating but at least he nevr went down. Well he never really went down but no matter what Mayweather couldn't hurt Gatti. If Gatti had the speed of Mayweather he would have destroyed him.
I think Zab have a big change of beating Mayweather.
Let see if the fight goes on.
I agree, however Zab is definately the underdog in my book. But I think he could definately do it and I want him to so bad. I hop the Brooklyn boy will bring it home.
third fight. I like the third fight because Gatti was incorporating the defensive skills and techniques that McGirt taught him and whooped Ward.
It was a new Gatti.
It truly was a good series. You'd think the rematches would have been dull or closer, but not so.
What happened to you saying that Gatti was overhyped by the white media? You used to say he was a horrible fighter and now your talking about how well he boxed. Thats a bit of a contradiction man. But w/e. imo that first fight was the best. It was very back and forth and it showed how tough both fighters were.
what the fuck! then what's the fuss about this fight when both of them can afford to lose?
Mayweather can't afford to lose. If he loses then he loses his untouchable reputation, which would kill his already weak celebrity. If he lost to Judah he would never even be considered the bigger draw in any major fight. Mayweather has a lot to lose in this fight.
I would have to say Arturo Gatti and Ricardo Mayorga. Bitch ass Floyd couldn't ko Gatti even with his superior hand speed. I mean anyone with that type of hand speed should be able to ko somone but gatti in just a monster.
He needs to fight a A class fighter is what he needs to do. No doubt he has amazing skill and is very possibly the p4p best. But he needs to step up his quality of competition.
Correct! Thats partially what I'm getting at. Hes not fighting anyone that he knows he can't defeat without a problem.
And some of you are making me laugh. Floyd is very good and maybe the best pound for pound at the moment but people are thinking hes invincible. Mitchell was being stupid for trying to outbox pretty boy.
The Judah fight I am looking forward to and I hope it happens.
I agree, I am very excited for the potential Judah fight which would easily be the most challenging fight of his career.
i think mcgirt told gatti he should retire and gotta sent him packing
Wow, I think you should read the article again because I don't see where it says Gatti fired him.
he's a fraud
I think he is a decent fighter but he has very brittle hands. I don't think he will have any major impact in the sport but i don't think he's a total fraud. Maybe if he had better hands he would make a bigger impact.
