malignaggi serious?

I saw the fight last night, and was impressed with Malignaggi's hand speed. But to compete with the big guys at 140, he needs to add a lot more pop to his punches. He has got potiential, but he needs more fights against stiffer comp to even think about fighting a Castillo, Hatton, or Cotto (how long the last two stay at 140, I have no idea). He has a big mouth, but until someone busts his shit, then I guess he gets to flap his gums.

Paulie too slick for Arnoutis. no way, Arnoutis would cut off the ring and would keep Malignaggi from doing his peck and run routine. the styles of these two would make for an interseting bout, but i think it wouldn't be all that entertaining. there would be a lot of moving in the ring and no trading of any sort. plus Arnoutis has more power and knows how to go to the body unlike any of Malignaggi's former opponents. that would cause Malignaggi to slow down and be more open for exchanges. Malignaggi doesn't like to trade at all, which is fine just kind of annoying to watch. plus Arnoutis is sitting on his punches better and has gained a lot of pop recently in his punches. Arnoutis is fighting at a world level and is a better fighter all around, Malignaggi might have one or two better attributes but Arnoutis is the more polished of the two and has been fighting better opposition.

malignaggi serious? Malignaggi, is good boxer, but he i smore like a break dancer with boxing gloves on, he looks the part, he has done his training nad make it look good, but he will get smashed if he ever decides to step up....

Paulie too slick for Arnoutis. Mighty Mike Arnoutis vs Malignaggi would be an awnsome fight. They are almost identical. Mighty Mikes power would keep it from becoming a "sparring session", it'd be nice to see them go back and fourth. :D

But is nice too see he got some fans outta this fight. This was a great fight he stepped up tonite, Camerana was on the verge of being in the top 10 as well ( Not as close as Paulie) and remember this Paulie's 2nd fight in almost 2 years and boy he let right fly compared to the yelton fight when he seemed to be holdin back w/ the right. Not an easy fight for somebody who has been so inactive and then dominate a guy who was clowin Padilla on FNF in august and Malignaggi froze this dude, scared em. AND PLEASE REMEMBER, Hatton's next fight is gonna be at 147, Cotto is movin up to 147 by the end of the year. 140 is wide open for the Magic Man, he is talking about a Boxing After Dark date in June and he wants Mighty Mike Arnoutis, then I think fight Chop Chop he is a good gateway at 140 and take it from there

He is fast but it looks like he cant punch at all. He doesnt put any body into his shots and theyare all just speed. He will be good but with such a lack of power he wont go to far. He could probably beat gatti but I think torres would stop him and I have never seen Junior witter fight so I dont know. But the guy he fought tonight hardly threw any punches.

^^nah, im not saying that u cant b great without power, im saying u cant beat the mayweathers without power UNLESS his speed was as good as it was last night, and he proves he has a chin

Malignaggi is lightning quick and his footwork and balance are probably near the best in the world already. But when was the last time there has been a true championship level fighter with a knockout percentage of lower than 25%? He really is an excellent boxer though. Combine this with his entertaining personality and I will definately be tuning in the next time he fights. I just don't think he has enough power to be a world champ.

Malignaggi is a good boxer, he has good hand speed and good ring generalship. but all he fights is club fighters. once he steps up in competition he's going to get a rough dose of reality. seriously. he has next to no power and thats because he is always on the run. he would get walked down by any other world class fighter, anyone in the top ten, even the top twenty. he wouldn't be able to keep them off him, he doesn't have the kind of punch to keep a pressure fighter away for a whole fight. i will give him some credit about his boxing though, he isn't a slouch, but he fights guys that either aren't ready for him yet or guys that are over matched. Malignaggi is hard to hit cleanly and he's always moving, that is half the reason he has no power, that and he's not a natural born puncher. to see if he can handle fighting on the world class level he should fight guys like Raul Balbi, Henry Bruseles, Mike Arnoutis, or Juan Urango. I don't think he can beat any of these guys, not with his power.

Malignaggi has brittle hands, has no power (21-0 but just 5 KOs), and reminds me of an Italian version of Paul Spadafora, except with limited skill. Just look at his nickname (other than the one he stole from Tarver). "The Dead-End Kid" <---- Fits him to a T

He said he deserves to be with guys like Hatton and Cotto and the first thing to came my mind is that with his power Hatton and Cotto will smile and go right through him. I don't think he's a real threat, he said this fight wouldn't last 10 round but it did. I like his speed and he has a good jab but without good enough power guys like Hatton will run right through this guy.

I saw him fight a Mexican guy (Was on the fight channel at about 4pm) He is pretty quick, I didn't see the end of the fight but I'm pretty sure he won. Is that seriously what he said at the end? And did it go 10 rounds or not?

i really liked what i saw from malignaggi tonight, speed kills and this boy is all speed haha. but seriously his combinations were dazzling i was really impressed with his speed.
