Who among active fighters can claim being called a warrior lets see some lists
Gatti
Coralis
Castilleo
Brewster
Just to name a few what do you guys think
I would have to say Arturo Gatti and Ricardo Mayorga. Bitch ass Floyd couldn't ko Gatti even with his superior hand speed. I mean anyone with that type of hand speed should be able to ko somone but gatti in just a monster.
Actually, the name Warrior to me isn't an ode to talent. It means you're getting hit as much as you're throwing. Not necessarily a good nickname.
Floyd would never be called a warrior because he doesn't get hit.
well not every1 is as naturally fast as pbf, so some rely more on heart, i wouldnt call it a bad thing to get hit and push thru wen u need to.
Well thats pretty much what you did with jirov isn't it? You said, "i have seen much of jirov. and never have i seen him take a beating only to come back and win by KO" to try and claim he wasn't a warrior.
Did you see his fights with Toney, Mesi, Letterlough, etc...? He comes to fight, slug it out, and beat you ass every night.
yes, thankfully i did see those fights.
well, shit. you got me. i admit defeat on this subject. :o
its funny how you say morales, rito, and hatton arent warriors and ur only selecting one of my criteria to eliminate them from being qualified as "warriors".
Also, I know they are warriors, I'm just imitating what you did to my post.

Morales has never taken a bad beating to come back and KO his opponent (which IS the requirement a wrrior must possess according to you)...I've followed his whole career too. Now I know hes a warrior, but going by your assinine logic he doesn't fit the bill.
Tony Margarito has never taken a bad beating only to come back and KO his opponent...unless you're referring to the Antonio Diaz fight (which was VERY even throughout).
Hatton has never been taking a bad beating only to come back and knock out an opponent. He's pretty much dominated most of the fights hes been in before knocking out his opponents.
Basically I'm gonna be an ass and nitpick you're views...much like you've done mine.

that goes down as one of the dumbest posts in the entire sad history of posts.

i have seen much of jirov. and never have i seen him take a beating only to come back and win by KO.
Oh so you MUST come back to win by KO? I'm sorry I didn't know you wrote the book on the term warrior and all things that it stands for.
That's why I didn't outright call them warrios...they HAVE shown that they possess the warrior mentality though.
Jirov doesn't take it and come back? Wow you haven't seen much Jirov have ya?

warriors are fighters who slug, who brawl, who fight, who take it and come back.
marquez doesnt slug or brawl.
toney doesnt slug or brawl.
jirov doesnt take it and come back.

Not all guys get the warrior title but have shown that they have some serious stones and can take that warrior mentality at times.
Prime example being Juan Manuel Marquez. Dude was dropped 3 times in the first round against Pacquiao and got up every time, giving Pacquiao as good as he got for the next 11 rounds. 3 KDs in one round is a serious confidence killer.
Toney and Jirov showed that they were both warrior like in their 2003 bout. Emmanuel Augustus has shown to have the warrior mentality at times.
