Which Gatti-Ward fight did you like the best?

They are all classic fight but If I had to choose one fight I would pick the 1st one.

It has to be the first one, simply because it was more of a slugfest than the other two. The third fight had the most drama because of Ward retiring and wondering if he could win one on his way out. At least bylosing the first fight there was a trilogy. Otherwise it would have ended after the second fight. My favorite is the third because of it being one of Arturo's best boxing performances, the drama of the broken hand, and the fact that you could tell you were watching the capper on 30 terrific rounds that you might not see again soon

The first fight, then the third, then the second. The first fight was just phenomenal with the back and forth, and those last 3 rounds were just brutal. A couple of you said that Gatti won all 3? No way. The first fight was 94-94, a draw. The rounds were all easy to score, too. The only way Gatti wins is if you give him the 4th, because he clearly lost the 5th, 8th and 9th. And I really don't see how you can give Gatti the 4th as badly as he got hurt with the right hand. The only way Ward wins is if you give him a 10-7 for the 9th, which one judge did, or give him the 3rd, which was really the only close round, but Gatti should have won it. But the first fight is about as clear a draw as you can get, and pretty easy to score, I feel. you are 100% correct. I went back and dug up my scorecard and I had the first fight a draw 94-94.

I voted for the 3rd fight for kind of an odd reason. I had seen the first one but not live. I watched the second one live, and it was a one-sided beating. Now in the third one, Gatti came to showcase his skills acquired while working under McGirt. But out of nowhere he breaks his right hand on Ward's hip! Gatti is forced to fight the rest of the fight with an injured hand, plus he gets dropped by Ward to bring out the urgency in Gatti. that's drama, baby. I loved every minute of it and thought it was a great win for Gatti and a marvelous way for Ward to make his way into retirement. probly the smartest post you ever made. this is the perfect example to showcase gatti's heart as well as skill.

Gatti is forced to fight the rest of the fight with an injured hand, plus he gets dropped by Ward to bring out the urgency in Gatti. that's drama, baby. I loved every minute of it and thought it was a great win for Gatti and a marvelous way for Ward to make his way into retirement.

third fight. I like the third fight because Gatti was incorporating the defensive skills and techniques that McGirt taught him and whooped Ward. It was a new Gatti. It truly was a good series. You'd think the rematches would have been dull or closer, but not so. What happened to you saying that Gatti was overhyped by the white media? You used to say he was a horrible fighter and now your talking about how well he boxed. Thats a bit of a contradiction man. But w/e. imo that first fight was the best. It was very back and forth and it showed how tough both fighters were.

ive only seen the 1st one, can anybody hook me up with the others so i can make a choice

I thought the first 1 was the best with the 2 running a very close 2nd.

i like all of them, but the 1st is my fav, cuz it was back and forth, it was the most brutal IMO, and gatti didnt bother boxing, they both just wanted to fight. i just wish gatti won that one, though. I like the first one as well but Gatti did box for the majority of that fight but Ward had his moments throughout the fight especially in the last few rounds. Gatti clearly won that fight and the other two as well in my opinion.
