Winky by far,
things like this are why when you sent me that 'I hope you're ok' private message when hurricane Katrina was headed to new orleans I told you to go fuck yourself. you have no clue...lol, winky and bernard will beat any middleweight out there DECISIVELY if it were to go to say, 15 rd
Listen the first rule is when it comes to threads like this is taking a fighter out of his time period. To say Dempsey would get killed today is horse shit. But to play ur games but todays heavyweights in Dempsey's era where they fought 20 rounds and there was no nuetral cornor so you could stand over ur opponet. Also arguably Dempsey one of the best boxing skilled heavyweights of alltime in Gene Tunney, we havent seen a heavyweight boxer skilled like this in 20 or 30 yrs.
And why are ppl mentioning Gatti how the hell is he overrated, the man has exceeded all expectations when it came to him being a fighter. A two time champ at 2 differnt weight classes. Most boxing experts said his career would be done at 30, especialy after the de la hoya fight but Gatti came back beat a former world champ in Millet gave boxing fans another glorious triliogy for the ages and won a title at 140 defending it twice w/ early KO's.
To me that is exceeding expectations
hes the only person to win titles in 6 weight classes. thats great enough for me.
SIX ?
Please ! He never won a real title at 130 (beat a nobody in Bredahl, for a worthless WBO belt).
He was given an absolute gift against Sturm.....& if you think Sturm was the middlewight champ just because some shit organization said so...damn, you hate boxing !
Marciano-180 pound light heavyweight or cruiserweight who fought moslty other 180 pound light heavyweights or cruiserweights.he ducked any black right who wasn't really old or just a complete cum(Marciano ducked Corley Wallace because Wallace knocked out Maricano in 1 round as a amatuer)Tyson never fought any top level fighters who were in their primes by yet still was knocked out 5 times.Louis ducked black fighters until later in his career and they all beat him.Dempsey ducked all black fighters period.De la Hoya gets beat every time he faces a decent black fighter. And Sugar Ray Robinson is overrated. You look as his record in his prime and you go wow but who did he fight?Mostly really slow italian guys with no punch or skill. He ducked any black fighter who he knew could beat him like Charley Burley and when he did fight black fighters like Tommy Bell he had a hell of a time beating them or lost.Turpin beat Robinson with ease and was beating Robinson again in their second fight until Sugar got lucky.
I know you hate anything that isn't black, but when you put that shit in your posts, it makes you look biased and ignorant.
i never said he wasnt good i just said people seem to think he should be matntioned in the same breath as robinson or hagler or leaonard i think he was lucky to have so much media attention because without it he never woulda been so blown up. he was good just not great
I think one of the most overated fighters of all time is oscar de la hoya He was beat by quarty got the nod didnt even touch whitaker all you could here were the women screaming got out fought by mosley. yet everyone seems to think he is this great fighter.

the overrated fighter list is loaded..these are guys who werent all that great but they had charisma/played the crowd..or if they fought today would get clobbered
ray robinson..when he fought many ppl didnt have speed and reflexes like him..but today speed like that comes a dime a dozen..tommy hearns would have punished him
mike tyson-we all would agree
marciano-short and slow..but tuff
ali-had charisma..wasnt that great
dempsey-wild..would get punished today
louis-short and slow
ray leonard
roberto duran
julio chavez
i strongly disagree with your list and ur saying that "guys today would get clobbered".
hearns beating robinson? hearns cant take it as well as he could dish it out (something robinson was an expert at)
ali=not that great? im not even gonna dignify that with a rebuttal.
dempsey was wild, but get punished today? against THIS kind of competition? plz.
louis was 6'2" and his feet were slow but his hands were fast.
i agree with marciano. but hes not overrated.

Dude you cant be serious...Ali was the greatest heavy weight by far, Mike Tyson was the youngest heavyweight champion and was just plain nasty..The old timers you have there were all great..and they fought with tiny gloves..not with these pillows that they fight with today. Dempsey would not be able to be a heavy weight, he would be a light heavy. And to put Leornard and Duran there...omg..thats just rediculous.
Says the kid who lives in Pensacola, Florida... LOL!...
Well, I'm confident you won't be saying that in 4yrs time. ;)
Says the kid who lives in London, England... LOL!...

Roy Jones Jr./I always thought his fear of getting hurt kept him from living up to his potential. He has to be one of the most gifted fighters ever but was too scared to see just how great he could have been. Therefore he made his p4p best around claims all while fighting sub-par fighters for the most part.
what do u mean idiot...won titles in 4 divisions..he fought ppl in his weight class..i mean wtf
