Kev, Canelo lost to a 5-1 underdog. Loma to a 7-1 underdog. The fights They won before were worse underdogs than this.
when you lose to such big underdogs the narrative shouldn’t be about taking risks.
Maybe it’s just me, but 5-1 and 7-1 favorites are “risks” only because the previous opponents were 12-1 and 15-1 underdogs.
A 50/50 or 55/45 fight is more of a “risk” imo.
Canelo and Loma kinda folded. It happens. Maybe they were overconfident.
They deserve credit for fighting top opponents for sure. Let’s not act like there isn’t some easy ones sprinkled in.
right like a Spence/Crawford fight. which is a 50/50 fight
Spence losing to Crawford is more of a risk than him going up in weight losing to Canelo
why do fans do this. They go all out on stupid predictions that their guy would win brutally, then when the outcome is different they go all out and back it up with weird excuses and then say one was exposed and it wasn’t a great win for other. Bla bla bla. You guys never get tired
anyone other than crawford tonight would get brutally steamrolled by spence and get their sockets broken, but because he lost he’s damaged goods and what not. And everyone knew this would happen lmao.
the car accident was 4 years ago. By your logic he shouldn’t have come back since he would not heal anyway and he would never know if he’s healed from it or not. Like he doesn’t know his body, like something inside him hurts but he doesn’t know that. How does that work? He can do all the high intensity trainings and beat up ugas level guys that gave porter hell which also gave spence hell, but he hasn’t healed yet lol
boxing fans always making excuses
Theres some interesting info in there, but also a lot of wrong stuff.
Spence has never used latteral movement for defense. There are youtube vids breaking down this, prefight, and plenty have noted Spence always moves in a straight line when he backs up.
I enjoyed the vid a lot, but its conjecture. This doc hasnt seen, tested, or diagnosed Spence.
Spence looked like his old dominant self in all the fights post accident. His toughest fight was before the accident in fact. If he was so compromised how did he stop Ugas?
he got rocked against ugas and he got into car accident after the ugas fight
Go sit your silly ass down and read. You don't even watch boxing.... If you think he only beat Spence....then explain his 9 world titles..... explain his 3 lineal championships (do you know what lineal is?).....explain the 2 Fighter of the Year Awards.......explain how he is one of 3 boxers to ever win an ESPY Award.... Explain how he's the only male boxer to gain 2 Undisputed titles.......
Whole lot of explanation is need from a silly mfer who think Crawford has only beat Spence........the mfer that ignorant fans like you glorified as the Boogie Man, Big Fish, Eye Snatcher, Mr. Man Down, Strap Season, etc....... Crawford made light work of him.....literally.
in terms of HOFs he's only beaten Spence. That's if Spence makes it to the HOF
And i picked Bud to beat Spence
He fought who he could fight.
It was weird, pre spence everyone was saying his resume is chit and then post spence people were actually saying its great and that is just a difference of 1 fight.
The only thing he did wrong was renew with Arum who blocked him from PBC fighters, it was also an even worse move because Arum denied him Pac which was the entire point of even being a top rank welter at that point.
Hes on an 11 fight KO streak and that still means something to me. There are guys fighting bums all the time and unable to take them out. He is breaking all these guys down, bum or not, hasnt went the distance since Postal a unification fight and he boxed that fight didnt look for the KO., I took his streak into account when picking a stoppage win over spence and its what will also make me pick a stopage over Tim Zsyu or Charlo
probably why he wants charlo at 154 because it would make him undisputed in 3 different weight classes.
Other than that I don't see too many HOFs around his weight class. He would have to go up to 168 and fight Canelo
No...the accident was in October 2019 and he fought Ugas April 2022.
There was another accident in December 2022

Look at the difference in how his face looked vs Ugas...and I'm not talking about after his face got hammered by Crawford, I'm talking about before the bell rang.

A total difference
Crawford is just a better fighter
That doesnt necessarily mean he hasn't got problems though. He sounds completely punch drunk. I know he's always had that lazy sounding voice and accent but go and listen to him a few years ago and listen to him now and he was far more lucid back then. I even made a thread about it before the fight because it was so obvious.
How can that crash help? Even if it caused minimal damage and he fought afterwards, that doesn't mean he hasn't been making the damage worse from months of sparring etc
its can be both true that Crawford is simply better and Spence also has issues from the crash and weight and whatever else. The guy looked zonked out before even fought, let's be real.
Maybe he knows it too. He might know he's done and he finally decided to fight Crawford once or twice for the big money before retiring.
I belive Crawford is just much better regardless but there's no way you couldn't look at spence and listen to him in the lead up to the fight and not think something is off with him. He looked half asleep in the changing room before the fight.
Exactly
Bro, you act like you don't know how the world works. Spence probably wanted the fight to go along more than anyone because of the money. He literally said it in the last press conference before the fight that his goal was to be rich. They let Ali fight with Parkinson's because not only did he need the money, it made money for everyone involved.
Now I agree if these things are true, someone should have stepped in but most people DGAF about other people.
Yea some fighters don't know when to quit
Roy Jones should have been retired but that didn't stop him from fighting
Based on the Caleb Plant fight doing 800k. Based on a Bivol fight who nobody knew doing 500k. A Mexican-American fighter like Benavidez vs Mexican Canelo is an easy fight to market and sell. Charlo is more of un an unknown but is an American undefeated fighter with KO power. Easier to market than Bivol or Beterbiev as opponents.
Also Charlo and Benavidez are both in their prime
1. Spence was shattered by a car crash.
2. From January 2021-Present, he fought once.
3. When he enters the ring vs Crawford, his last fight will be 15 months ago.
Called it...
