Largely excuses I’m hearing that his eyes looked tired or unfocused, he was high or didn’t rehydrate enough overnight.
I just thought Bud put on a dominant performance that Spence wasn’t ready for.
Do you think he was “off”?
Man you were hating on Crawford for so long it musta killed you to see the fight. Now your here making excuses lmfao carnela is trash
Never hated on Crawford’s talent. Just his resume and lack of fire to take riskier fights.
I always said he would be the favorite against Spence. He should have beat Spence’s ass years ago and pushed for undisputed at 147. He would have been in bigger fights and made bigger money sooner.
The fact that he dominated Spence makes it worse that he hid behind Arum and Top Rank all those years.
I didn’t give shit who won that fight. Neither were fighters I’m a big fan of.
LOL. I SAW MULTIPLE VIDEOS OF SPENCE FANS SAYING CRAWFORD LOOKED DRAINED BEFORE THE FIGHT STARTED. Watch his weigh in against bud then his weigh ins against porter and brooke and ugas. Spence looks way fuller in this fight. He even said he would baloon to 190 lbs his other fights and he said pre fight this was the bst cut he ever had.
Anybody else think Spence lost a lot of confidence in part due to the ref having the doctor check him out after the first knockdown?
It was an off balance knockdown so I was surprised he even thiught that was necessary and was thinking how that can affect Spence confidence. "like damn, am I in bad of shape that they had to get the doctor"
I've heard that the mental game is half of the fight. Or more.
Yall don't know what yall really watched last night. Spence is far from a bum. He landed some head and body shots that would've taken out or atleast hurt a few other WWs. The few shots that got through Bud just ate em. He was just otherworldly. He was a few steps too fast on offense and defense. His timing was NEXT LEVEL. Yall taking away from what Bud did by dragging Spence.
He had the same look Fulton had against Inoue. The same look that AJ had against Usyk
It's the look of someone who's bought into their own hype, and suddenly realize they're in the ring with someone far better.

I remember the same thing people said about Wilder before Fury fight started and AJ before the Ruiz bell rang. Otherwise known as, excuses
Crawford was clearly a level above but I do think the layoff hurt Spence.
Not having to cut weight for so long at his age makes it tougher. Plus he was probably drinking a lot during that layoff and that wrecks your body as you get older.
Doesn’t look like he rehydrated properly after the weigh in.
People have to admit that they didn’t think it would be as one sided as what happened. Crawford’s past opponents did better than Spence. Have to wonder why.
I was definitely shocked at how it played out, but knew it was gonna get ugly the moment Crawford timed Spence's jab, early in the 2nd round.
Styles makes fights. Look how pedestrian Floyd made Canelo look.
I just think TC was so on, they said the same about Hearns after Hagler, Duran after Hearns and Gatti after Floyd and recently Fulton after Inoue, seems to be par for the course and a superstar just cant be great, always got to be a reason with nothing to back it other than the beating.
Duran before hearns had notable wins .
Fulton was overrated too.
Spence is a B class champions and was totally overrated
He is not special
STOP THE FUCKIN EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!
He was NEVER going Crawford. He knew that. Derrick James knew that. Al Haymon knew that. It's the reason why so many politics were in play for Crawford the moment he decided to step into the division.
All you ignorant ass Spence groupies have changed your energy and moved the goal post so much that now, you have to be extra creative to justify the ass whipping he got last night. No version of Spence would have beaten Crawford at any point in their careers. Crawford is just better.
Mr. ManDown....Mr. Big Fish.....Mr. Eye Snatcher......Mr. Weight Bully..... "He survived a car accident so what can Crawford do to him" etc....... Now everything you threw out there to make him seem like he was super human is now an excuse as to how Crawford was able to beat him so badly..... He was weight drained. He was high.... Whatever.
GIVE CRAWFORD HIS PROPS...... The dude is different. Y'all sound like bitter bitches. This is a sport where you can't hide your flaws from the elite for too long. Spense has NEVER adjusted for his opponent. He's always had the same approach and it's just been working for him vs that level of competition. He hasn't fought an elite talent to test him. He just fought popular names that American Fans and his own fans respect & they confused that with him fighting better opposition. Crawford dismantled Spence worse than he dismantle Horn & Khan....2 of his best performances at 147lbs.......but people said they were bums........So what is Spence now?
It doesn't really have to be one thing or another
it's probably likely he does struggle at the weight and the car crash and inactivity in all them things don't help, how can they?
but that doesn't really account for the fact Crawford appears to have a very superior skill set
I didn't really see anything in there to suggest Spence would have ever beaten Crawford, regardless of those other factors.
Besides, Crawford may not even be in his absolute prime. He's closer to 40 than 30.
Thank you! Multiple things can be true. I acknowledge all the out the ring stuff that Spence has endured did not help him at all while also knowing what my eyes have always told me and what they say last night. No version of Spence beats Bud
Also, Spence's issues were self inflicted outside of the retina tear so he has to own that.
I compared Spence’s face to the Ugas fight and it looked similar aside from the fro he rocked last night (which made his face look skinnier after the weight cut). His face and expressions did standout to me before there was any mention of it; very relaxed.
Movement and speed-wise Errol looked similar to his usual self. He usually outmuscles opponents and dictates where the fight goes, Crawford didn’t allow him to do so. Whenever they clinched, he didn’t budge and pushed Spence backward to let him know that he was just as strong or stronger than him (he did it to Porter too).
For someone like Spence, who’s always been stronger or able to break opponents down until he is stronger, it must’ve been surprising. Terence took away something that Errol could always rely on (getting in the trenches) and punished him for even trying. That, right there, will change your body language.
Crawford’s not only the best, he might be the strongest Welterweight and it showed.
He looked drained and weak. His punches were weak and he never recovered after getting rocked in the second round. It was more than a flash knockdown. His durability is shot to shit after that car accident. Bud just fully exposed it. Danny and Ugas just partially exposed it.
Those people were lining up excuses. Spence’s eyes always looking sleepy and he has always looked gaunt during weigh-ins. No version of Spence beats Crawford. Crawford is also the older fighter and had more fight which means more wear and tear.
Whatever Bud has lost as far as his fast twitch muscles, he's gained in size/power and ring IQ/experience.
And I don't recall anyone referring to Spence as the best ever.
He surely was treated like he was the best ever
Surprise surprise
You do realize Bud was smaller than Spence
