People like to romanticize the past and it's no different when it comes to fighters. To me, fighters in the 80s were the best in terms of honed skills and technique.
It makes me chuckle when somebody says that Jack Johnson would beat the brakes off of today's HWs. He certainly wouldnt do that with his primitive ass, caveman approach. Wilder would destroy him early.

Jorge Linares- I dont care who he is fighting. Win or lose, I love watching his style in the ring. I love it. That’s what boxing is about. I know there are casuals and straight up dudes that dont know sht about boxing who shts on Linares for his weak chin or whatever but they are really missing the point. Linares’ form is near flawless and his punching form is a work of art. It’s fkin masterpiece and anybody wants to learn boxing, watch Linares and Finito Lopez.
Inoue Naoya- i really like his form. He is the real deal.. I like Inoue more than Pacman.
Nonito Donaire
Juan Estrada- his lack of power drags on the fights sometime but I love his boxing style. He is like a mini Marquez. He should train under Beristain cuz he got that Nacho style.
Roman Gonzalez- old school, throwback style fighter. I love his style

If we are just talking about skills, fighters from 70s-90s are more skilled than today’s fighters. There are several lost arts in modern Boxing. Who said modern boxers are more skilled? And we arent talking about diet and training methods, but in terms of pure skills, old school fighters had more in their arsenals.
He's lucky his weightclass lacks any p4p fighters. Nakatani is the only p4p fighter within proximity of his weightclass and they won't be fighting until next year.
