Mine is Floyd "Money" Mayweather jr. He is a warrior in the ring, a champion, the p4p king, one of the best of our era, and the best technical boxer both offensively, and defensively in the sport. His dedication to the sport is second to none, his professionalism sets the standard in boxing, he ducks no one, will fight anyone, and does what's best for the sport of boxing.
He has a high ring IQ, a sharp straight right and a nice jab, good body work, great footwork, great head movement, he uses feints well, he sets traps, he frustrates opponents with his elusive come forward style.
Floyd will go down as an ATG when it's all said and done, I love watching him fight with his crowd pleasing style, and I love how he drives me and motivates me in the gym.
Love the Linares call out.
Haha :lol1: Ryan Garcia's dad said he didn't want his son to fight Linares because Linares is old. What?! Even though Linares destroyed Morales, the same Morales that would have beat Garcia had it been a 12 rounder instead of a 10 round bout? Garcia lost rounds seven, eight, nine and ten with Morales.
I have to second this mention of Jorge Linares, as well as the others mentioned. Regarding Linares, there are two fights that come to mind where I believe he got the short end of the stick.
There was a fight in Mexico where he ... can't remember who he was fighting, but he received a knock down, I believe. He wasn't hurt. First time he was knocked down, and the referee escorted him or told him to go to the corner to be looked at by the doctor on hand. The doctor didn't even look at him and just waived off the fight. It's a bit like what happened to Miguel Berchelt.
The other one was when he fought that gangly guy, either from Mexico or Brazil. But Linares got a cut on the nose, and the bleeding was profuse. I think there was an accident in the corner, and the cut man dropped the q-tip with vaseline.
Anyway, in the 12th, when Linares was up on the cards, the fight was stopped because of the blood. But if it had gone another minute or so, Linares would have won.
Anyway, he's 35 now, and is making a comeback. He had the best showing against Lomachenko out of all those that Lomachenko fought. Some people criticize him, saying he likes to look at his work, etc. But as you said, he's exceptional. An exceptional boxer, phenomenal hand speed, excellent ring smarts. Just all around great.
Lomachenko has been my favorite boxer as of late. His last fight, against Luke Campbell, was a masterclass in footwork. You have to have phenomenal footwork to fight a guy who has nearly a 7 inch reach advantage and knows exactly how to use it, along with his size. It didn't stop Lomachenko, however.
Rigondeaux is a master at the counter. His counters are so fast that it looks as if he's the first to throw the punch. That's how good he is at reading his opponent and knowing exactly what the other fighter is going to do. Plus, he hits like a middleweight or harder. One of the most devastating check hooks out there.
Saul Alvarez for his defensive prowess and countering ability. PLUS HIS CHIN!
Speaking of Chins, I have Gennady Golovkin. No matter what people say, his ability to cut off the ring and apply pressure is second to none. His jabs and over-the-top cork screw punches are perfect.
Artur Beterbiev because he's like a boxer that was cut from stone. He has stone fists and a stone chin. He's like an immovable object, and when set in motion, I have yet to see someone slow him down.
Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter, each for their entertaining and skillful styles.
Love the Linares call out.
Virgil Ortiz has me mesmerized
I see him being the cash cow of boxing or the face of boxing in not so long
Imo , the guy has everything going for him in and out of the ring
Jorge Linares- I dont care who he is fighting. Win or lose, I love watching his style in the ring. I love it. That’s what boxing is about. I know there are casuals and straight up dudes that dont know sht about boxing who shts on Linares for his weak chin or whatever but they are really missing the point. Linares’ form is near flawless and his punching form is a work of art. It’s fkin masterpiece and anybody wants to learn boxing, watch Linares and Finito Lopez.
Inoue Naoya- i really like his form. He is the real deal.. I like Inoue more than Pacman.
Nonito Donaire
Juan Estrada- his lack of power drags on the fights sometime but I love his boxing style. He is like a mini Marquez. He should train under Beristain cuz he got that Nacho style.
Roman Gonzalez- old school, throwback style fighter. I love his style

Donaire , Gonzalez , inoue , fury , AJ . But I will gladly call out any one of them and pick against them but those are my top 5 active . I cant say one is my favorite but for me donaire is a humble legend and hes showing against inoue was unexpected and it was great to see him shine even in a loss and especially as an underdog . Gonzales , same as donaire . Inoue the kid is a beast . Fury because I love a good comeback story , it's the best part of boxing imo . AJ he is humble and I've followed him closely since the olympics . Iam a huge heavyweight fan tbh , always been my favorite division, unfortunately it isnt the greatest now but it is sure shining bright since the klitschko era. Dorticos is right up there too , he is fun as hell .

I was thinking about this and, honest to goodness I don't think I have one. I'm at the age where my favorite guys are all retired and/or dead. I rooted for guys like Ali, Tyson, Hagler, Kostya Tszyu, Oscar and Monzón. I loved following RJJ.
Today? I root against certain guys. I despise cheaters like Margacheato. I dislike bad people like Broner. I don't care who they fight I'm rooting for the other guy. Zab Judah was like that after going after the referee. It didn't matter who he fought, I'm rooting against his butt.
I'm not a particularly big fan of guys who duck fights or take absurd match-ups simply for money (Mayweather). Those are bad fights that give boxing a bad name. Rematch Pac and all is forgiven and I won't root for either guy, just for a better fight than last time. I don't dislike Tyson Fury but I think his style in the ring makes for bad viewing (who wants to see 12 round fights where 150 combined punches are landed?). I'm not fond of overt braggarts (Prince Nasseem Hamed) who seem to have little respect for their opponents. But basically if you're not an outright thug or overt cheat then I don't really care.
The vast majority of guys go into the ring and do their work and I don't root for any of them personally. I hope for a good fight. I watch boxing for the enjoyment of the sport. I guess that is why I'm often so dispassionate about the outcome. I really don't have a dog in the fight.
That comes with age, I guess.
Simple...Floyd Mayweather because he beats everyone and is an all time
great..we should appreciate him while he is still boxing for our entertainment.
