I'm looking forward to seeing Wlad getting hit for once.
Wlad hits hard but he's too one dimensional. his style has been working, but look at the sacks he's been getting in the ring with.
Haye just needs to keep his damn hands up.
if he's careful he can pull off exactly what Rahman did to Lennox.
watching heavyweights is painful. Wlad has looked the best overall. he has a great jab, and he sets up his shots well. Fast Eddie moves around the ring and throws some nice quick combos for a big man. other than these two the whole lot are slow. Vitali has power but he's not for the highlight real.
the bottom line. Haye would be this era's most entertaining heavyweight champion if he wins.
Pac is exciting. Pot-shotting is not
Pac vs Mosley was the worst PPV fight in history. the only other big fight i was as bored watching was Oscar vs Floyd...or wait the Pac vs Clottey fight and card was the worst, sorry. So Pac was not only involved with the worst PPV card which was Clottey, he also was in the most boring and frustrating PPV fight this year with Mosley.
I know this has been said before but...
If the boxing commissions and the powers that be don't require OSDT then why is there an entire cult of people backing Floyd on his demands?
Boxers box. Trainers train. Commissions run ****. The end.
Does it make sense to go out of your way to satisfy the wants of your opponent when its not mandatory?
Sure people can point to the "excuses" about needles and Manny's alleged head growth but Pacquiao's camp can make up as many excuses as they want as for reasons why not to take the tests because they don't have to.
Also, flip the coin.
If Pacquiao's camp for some reason pulled this on Floyd and demanded OSDT from him out of the blue do you think Floyd would comply? No, for the sake of going against the grain and not wanting to ease the mind of his opponent Floyd would argue the same.
He would say, "I've always tested clean and I take the tests required by the commission, lifestyle flashy".
The argument coming from the Mayweather camp and his cult following is a bit ridiculous.
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Who is anyone to say that you literally CAN'T peak in your later years?
But people take the word of Roger or Floyd Sr. as gospel and that's that.
Kind of sad what boxing has come to really.
People who fight for a living avoiding opponents because their daddy got it in their head that they might lose their undefeated streak to a "cheater".
Boo on that.
^ Good point.
Floyd never demanded this of anyone prior to his dad opening his mouth.
So somewhere in Floyd's head he is a beaten man already.
And yes Floyd's super human skills should allow him to beat Pacquiao whether he uses PED or not.
I hope nobody here thinks that I think Floyd is a garbage boxer.
Dude is amazing.
But his camp isn't doing him any favors.
If anything he should let Pacquiao slide on the tests, beat him, and then say - "I beat a dude who was probably on PED's."
Then he wins twice, in his own head atleast.
true but Floyd never had a reason to demand testing from anyone.
Haye was the only one connecting with clean shots. even if it was only three shots a round. Valuev did all the pressing so I had the fight pretty even up until Haye hurt him in the 11th.
anyone know how much Ortiz weighed on fight night with Berto? I won't doubt that fight from popping off at all because Martinez is not involved with Arum, so it could happen. Honestly, it would be good for Floyd and a nightmare for Arum and Pac since if they can't get Floyd vs Pac next because of the same bull**** theres no where for Pac except Bradley, winner of Khan/ Judah, Berto, or worse......fighting Ortiz if Mayweather beats him. Floyd will still have the option to fight Martinez. i see it happening if they can't make the mega-fight next year.
actually , im sorry, it was the 12th round that Haye caught Valuev. either way it was a hard fight to sit through, but sure Haye did enough. anyone saying different just has something personal against the guy. Valuev just has size, the man can't fight worth a damn, and he didnt defend his title very well so i was more than happy with Haye being awarded with it.
Wlad is somewhat entertaining to me, i like his style and discipline, but he doesnt compare to Floyd. Floyd's movement and reflexes are a thing of beauty, you can't get the same movement from Wlad in slowmotion replays. it's not the same.
please excuse me because i'm stupid and slow, anyone care to explain the meaning of "i am the test" and how is it a response to floyd's "take the test" shirts
exactly, its just a hey dont you remember that im not taking any random bloos tests, so get ovet it, im too good for that nonsense, i can piss in a cup and we can fight.....whah whah whah, why do i have to bend to your demands and take random blood tests, are you acared of me, yep Floyd is scared he dont wanna fight....he wants no cut off dates, whah whah whah, oh wit ill agree to 14 days, what too late he doesnt want any cut off dates, im pray though, they might show up for testing when im training and freddie gets mad, whah whah whah,
TAKE THE TESTS, DO IT FOR THE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not prime Tyson, not young Tyson, not Kid Dynamite...Mike would have cornered Haye and sent him to the ground with anything. Now, the later version of Tyson, after both losses from Holyfield and Lewis, i would say theres a window there for Haye to shine. i can never say anyone beats prime Tyson (with Cus), i love that boxer too much, but sure Haye has power and speed, all it takes is one shot, I give him a shot. Im sure he'd be better competition than Spinks.
Well because Floyd's the bad guy & Manny's supposed to be the good guy.But they're both bad,but Manny is worse because they defend him for doing the same thing, when he's soooo tiny & can actually make 135 anyway.
yeah im tired of hearing how small Manny is. he might be a midget compared to the average middleweight, but he's certainly not a featherweight anymore. He's not even a lightweight. He's not gaining weight for fights. when he's not in training he doesnt shrink back down to 130 lbs.
I know this has been said before but...

differnce would be if Manny demanded tests and Floyd refused everyone in the world would think he was juicing until he proved otherwise. fact.
Haye seems more excited than anything. sometimes he seems a bit too cool but Ive seen a very good interview of him when he was in training in Florida where he admitted that he has a high self-esteem and high expectations of himself and that he's well aware of his ego, but he still was humble enough to admit that among the greats he may or may have not had a great chance to beat any of them. I truly think he has a lot respect for Wlad but he wont show that until he's in the ring, and at the end of the fight. still Im hoping he ends this fight quick with a big shot just because it would make for a stunning upseet and we can then look forward to Vitali/ Haye next year.
When Bob said no USADA, all he is saying is no to the fight.
Bob is not letting Pac take no damn USADA test.
Mayweather vs Khan is next after Ortiz gets knocked out, and if Khan wins against Judah.
Have you noticed that everytime Mayweather goes on one of his vacations,
Bob always says that Team Pacquiao has agreed to all of Floyds demands, and that Floyd is ducking Pacquiao?
Bob even posted some lame countdown clock.
But when Floyd is active and telling the media that he wants to fight Pacquiao, and is waiting on Team Pac to agree to the random test,
Bob always comes up with another excuse?
Vacation...........Floyd is ducking
Active Mayweather....................No USADA, scared of needles, cut off date, etc
EXACTLY. im getting tired of these excuses. i still believe the fight has a better chance of happening next year but i do not understand the excuses thrown around by Team Pac. all that nonsense comes back to bite them. Im not praising Floyd here, I'm just speaking on the lamn excuses we have to hear.
broken toes heal quicker than 3 weeks but im sure he was pretty active within that time. its just unfortunate that he had to have a reason for losing, and that his toe was in that condition. at this level in the game it should of been taped up and dealt with and it shouldnt of been a concern when the bell rang. no pain no gain.
and for those of you using the whole Haye was in prime Mosley is shot blah blah....
put Mosley back in the ring and you'll see that he can still do some things. he just was afraid to get knocked out.
once Floyd gets tagged by a solid shot from Pacman, Floyd will retreat all night.. Forget about Floyd trying to out box Pac... He'll be in defense, retreat mode once he realizes how hard Pac punches from the A side Meth that Roger claims Pac is on...
it'll be another snooze fest reminiscent of Pac vs. Shane but at least Floyd will try to throw while back peddling..
like when Shane caught him? hmmmm
watch what he does in the ring vs Ortiz and then watch Manny with Marquez and it wont be hard to imagine. i give Pac more than just a punchers chance though. some dont even give him that. i just think you can't knockout what you can't hit. or in this case, continue to hit.
Given all the **** he talked, I understand the "I told you so's"
I was rooting for Wlad, but thought Haye fought to the very best of his abilities. Wlad was just the better man. I had no problem with the fight; Haye did all he could. You can't just smother a guy that's 6'5 with punches.
Also, Haye and Wlad both showed that their chins may be underrated. I was surprised Haye wasn't even stunned by anything.
very suprised. was also a little surprised at how easily Wlad cuts.
truth though i thought ok either Haye knocks Wlad out, or he fails and then Wlad pummels him in the end. i considered a point victory for Haye, but didnt think it would go 12, and i definately didnt think Haye would get through all 12 without getting buzzed.
in the end way too much talk, and not enough fight. from either of them. but i will put more blame on Haye since he is the reason we even cared about a heavyweight fight. now it can go bcak to how it was.
let's go Seth Mitchell!!!
Mosley's performance was worse. Haye actually gave Wlad a couple of scratches even though he fell way short of living up to his promise. Mosley didnt even try.
i think its going to be a very sad night for those wishing on a star that Floyd gets brutally knocked out by Manny. it's hopeful, but i think Floyd will remind everyone how good he actually is. (if it ever happens) expect an entertaining road to the Ortiz fight and a brilliant performance the night of the fight.
:bottle::bottle::bottle: you really think hagler didnt knew that? , please.
well now that I KNOW that you can't speak english, (properly) Im sure it's hard to understand it as well. re-watch, and LISTEN to what Marvin's says about the demands. He clearly seems to think only ONE guy (Pac) would be under stricter testing.
he wasnt drugged. it was because he wasnt wearing Cleto Reyes gloves remember. why not just say he lost to the best fighter at that weight and now look at him. he learned from the best.
I think Victor would of had a tough night but I don't think Margo would have won. Victor has enough stamina and skill to make Margo look as bad as Cotto made him look before he was stopped. difference here is i think Victor would survive with more rounds under his belt.
