How is Mayweather vs JMM different than Pac vs JMM 3?

there is absolutely no difference between the two fights, only that Floyd laid waste to Marquez and made it look easy. Pacquiao is a fully fledged welterweight, as is Mayweather, Marquez has had to jump up from Lightweight to Welterweight to fight both of them There is no difference, only in the eyes of Pactards. Floyds win will look all the more impressive if Pacquiao struggles or loses with Marquez. If Pacquiao beats JMM, then Pactards will claim his victory is better or worth more blah blah blah Correction. No difference only in the eyes of Floyd fans. Look at the stats of all three and see all the differences.

Floyd had a 5 inch reach advantage, about 2 inch height advantage, strength advantage, and at least 10 lbs. weight advantage over Marquez. This will not be the same case with Pac/Marquez. Marquez's punches from outside were inches short of the target and he looked slow against FMJ because FMJ took advantage of the reach difference by staying away from Marquez's range while keeping Marquez within his reach. That made it easier for FMJ to use his pull-counter and counter punching more effective. The strength advantage became more apparent whenever Marquez tried to close the distance. FMJ simply smothered most of his attempts with the use of his superior strength.

Several reasons. 1. Some people really want to see Marquez-Pacquiao III. Whether or not it will be as competitive as their first two fights is beside the point. Some people have still be calling for it. At the very least, people were calling for it. Hardcore fans were never really calling for Marquez-Mayweather. 2. Manny is still the bigger man than Marquez, but he is still seen as the smaller man when it comes to Mayweather. Whether or not that is true, is irrelevant. Perception is often times reality. 3. Out of the opponents that could have been brought up, he's not the worst option. It makes business sense for several reasons. It keeps Manny out there while letting him close the chapter for his legacy, potentially. It also allows Manny to one-up Mayweather if he manages to stop Marquez this time. It's probably going to sell pretty well with Manny's new fans and the back story.

Pacman can make the Catch-weight limit; While Floydie went over the Catch-weight limit! In this 3rd fight between Pacman vs Marquez, if Marquez would elect to fight Pacman, he will end up in hospital the same way on what happened to his countryman, Margs. Marquez is certainly hittable, been knockdowns several times in his last fights. And I won't be surprise if Pacman will win by KO/TKO.

it's diffrent becuase unlike floyd, pac will not have a huge size advantge over jmm.....it is that simple.... everyone is forgetting this, Pac and JMM will be at their regular fightnight weight Pac ~148 and JMM ~144 ....

The difference is JMM has a draw and a close decision loss to Pac, and he hasn't slipped that much since the rematch. So it's still an interesting fight. Floyd is a nightmare style match for JMM even if he were the bigger man himself. I'm not sure how this fight is getting any flack other than it being a couple years too late. it's the same weight, yeah mayweather was overweight but it's practically the same the only reason ppl are looking past the fact that jmm is made to fight way out of his natural weight is because of pac troubles against said fighter pacquiao's troubles figuring out a counterpuncher shouldn't excuse the fact that he is using the same tactics everyone was critizicing mayweather for, hell it's even worse because pacquiao can surely make 140 pounds why is pacquiao using this tactics? insecurity? i hope so, the other choice would be that he is using his power to bully jmm into an unfair fight, really where is the sportsmanship in this? wasn't pac one of the good guys in boxing? some kind of role model?
