I didn't bother to score the fight because of how terrible it was. But i do remember thinking with the reputation Germany has favouring home fighters i thought Haye had made the fight too close. I was a big Haye fan at the time so didn't really care if he deserved it or not (like alot of people).
Has anybody watched the fight again and scored it? Would be interested to hear peoples opinions on the fight (other then it being sh*t).
Other then the 12th i don't remember there being a clear round for either guy as so few punches were being thrown.

For me personally it's less important whether Haye actually won the fight.
For me more important is that Evan Fields performed better than Haye yet lost.
Had Evan Fields won against Valuev, Wlad would have unified the belts long time ago, because I believe that Evan Fields has a genuine desire to unify.
Additionally we would have seen Wlad-vs-Fields which on Wlad's resume would look better (despite Evan's age)
everyone lost that night. Haye, Valuev, the fans, the german people havent been subject to such an attrocity since Stalin invaded. Worst fight Ive ever seen, but Haye is exciting!!!!!BECAUSE HES BLACK AND HAS CORN ROWS AND SAYS STUPID THINGS.
Haye vs Valuev made Wlad vs. Ibragimov look like Gatti vs. Ward.
What does that even mean?!?!
Yeah my bad for not reading over my comment. What I was trying to get at was that Haye did not deserve to take away the championship belt.
It was such a **** fight I've only watched the replay once and both times I thought Haye was lucky to get the belt if I'm honest. Valuev wasnt much better but I didnt think Haye would take his belt in Germany with that performance.....I might have missed a fair bit due to losing interest but i'm not watching it again lol
except how swollen it is
I remember watching Amir Khan fight after this on sky and Haye came into his dressing room to presumably wish him luck. He took of his plaster cast and Freddie Roach walked over said something and stood blocking the view of the camera and Hayes face just dropped and when Freddie moved back the cat was back on. There was no audio and it was obvious Haye didnt realise there was a camera in there. But the whole thing looked dodgy. I had this on my sky box but lost it, Can anyone find and post this footage.
I would have said it was a robbery but the belt did not even belong to Valueless. Haye calls himself "the world champion" but he's nothing but a con merchant with a paper belt and will be exposed as such on July 2nd. Cannot wait!
Wow people are still debating about whether David beat Value lol. Jim Watt must have made everyone believe Haye was loosing by a far margin. I thought the fight was terrible and I remember thinking what on earth is going on in the HW division these days. Haye landed more punches but he didn't deserve to win. He did more out of the two but I wouldn't be bragging about that fight for too long if I was Haye.
That makes sense.
Yes, he won.
Valuev was pressing, landing nothing and getting hit clean a few times in most of the rounds. He didn't do anything to win the decision, getting wobbled late on just put the stamp on it.
Look Haye didn't throw much and it was a **** fight, but he outlanded and landed the better shots in every round. How can you score rounds to a fighter for plodding around hitting air?
people seem to forget that Haye broke his right hand during the fight
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3fsXZLwjx0
check his hand 43sec into the video
Anyone can tape their fingers and say their hand is broken.
Yeah he won, but it was a terrible fight, Haye vs Valuev was a lot more boring than any fight that Wlad has fought. About the broken hand, how could he break his hand without even throwing punches? =/
How else do you fight an ogre? He got the decision on foreign soil, says it all.
watch the chagaev fight , and see how a real heavyweight beats an ogre
After watching 2 rounds of it, I turned it off. People say wlad is boring..yes he is. but please...haye's fights with valuev and 3 rounds of harrison says it all
If there was a boxing scene jail you`d be going in it for the night! how can u turn a fight off after 2 rounds and especially a haye fight where all but 1 has ended early! If some of the american fighters went abroad and performed the way haye did it`d be getting labelled a masterclass!
