Heard it***39;s berto. Good luck to my boy berto he***39;s a good kid regardless. https://t.co/Q5SzkBq7Tv— Amir Khan (@AmirKingKhan) July 15, 2015
Berto is a good kid. :lol1:
Hahahahaha
Berto earned it doe!
There goes the theory who's earned what and who deserves what, don't wanna be hearing none of that crap on this spasticated forum!
Khan has literally wasted the last 2 plus years of his career
Shame, he himself has to blame. I'm a huge, huge Khan fan but this is what you get for putting your trust in snakey people.
I'm not a betting man but I'm certain even if Khan beat Alexander for the IBF title couple of years back Mayweather would of still passed on him.
There is something about Khan that Mayweather does not like no mater how you slice, dice, cut and paste.
Khan read a rumor on twitter just like the people on this message board.
Nah mate as I mentioned before he did exactly the same thing with Maidana fight. Announced few days before Mayweather announced it. Haymon must of told Khan like last time no Mayweather fight for you lad he's fighting .......
He just fought 4 former world champions, back to back. That's hardly wasting a career. In the last 2 years, Khan's opponents have been better than Brook's, Thurmans and Porter's, collectively speaking
Difference is Khan has been on top of his game far longer than Brook and Thurman so should be fighting top caliber fighters compared to the other 2. So yes he has wasted 2 years of his prime.
if he gets smarter yes, he can imo. he has speed to trouble floyd, but that alone won't do much.
That's the problem Khan is not smart enough. I'm a huge Khan fan, was never a fan of Maidana but I slowly became a fan of his love his grit, relentless pressure. The guys pure grimy, a typical Argentine hard man(and I mean it as a compliment) back to the point Khan in no shape or form would be able to do this and his boxing skills alone won't help against a guy as smart as Mayweather.
As a huge Khan fan I must admit he's lost the love for the sport, personally the whole Mayweather situation got to him. It's like he's not bothered no more fair enough though he's earned decent amount of money has a decent lifestyle.
His next fight should be against a top welter if not he should just retire Im not the type who says boxers at a young age should retire but for the fact that this is not the Khan we loved and we followed, sad to say but that Khan is long gone
:frown:
I think the answer to that question may be more political than many suspect. Berto was supposed to be the next big thing before the Ortiz fight and was being groomed to fight Floyd. Well, we all know what happened there and thereafter so the Berto that could, became the Berto that can't.
I honestly believe Floyd's choice of Berto has a multi-layered plan attached 1.) There's no shame in losing to Floyd, so if\when Berto loses, he would have received a mega-dose of exposure, a very good payday, and he's setup to continue his career without skipping a beat 2.) The choice of picking Berto also sticks it straight into the eye of Khan, who has been acting the fool towards Floyd every chance he gets. 3.) This also, may be a favor to Haymon, who is close to both Floyd and Berto. Floyd is winding his career down while Berto still has a few years in him.
Your whole post made absolute zero sense, there was no logic behind it. To sum it up your post simply lacked common sense.
In future do not reply back to me if you're going to post a absurd post like this.
Thanks
He had just been dominated and dropped 6 times by Pacquiao and was the joke of the internet..What was the purpose?
Forget Khan he's just a "glass hype job"
Let's ask the real question! Why is Mayweather fighting Berto?
There are some fighters that need some more time to get to that point, but unfortunately, Floyd will be like 41-42 at this time.
I don't see it happening regardless (although if he chooses to fight it will happen), because the majority of the welterweights act like diva's and feel they are entitled to fighting bums until they get a big PPV fight.
This right here. If any of these guys fight each other don't expect the winners to face each other. It's all a milking process fight a stiff competitor then 2/3 tune ups rinse and repeat.
Boxing has become a joke and this welterweight division is the biggest joke.
It's a bit obvious ain't it, why fight the guy that beat you soundly!
Tbh I don't see any version of Porter beating Brook, his smothering wont work against someone as strong as Kell.
Jim Watt was scoring the fight from the point of view of an American judge for some reason instead of just scoring it normally.
To be fair, I didn't expect Brook to get the decision either. Was fully expecting a robbery.
I see were you're coming from but I'm just replying to TS regarding his question "what expert had Porter winning"(even though I think Watt is no expert the shrimp) but he's still regarded as an "expert"
Which credible boxing analyst had Porter winning? Khan I think is the only one :lol1:
Al bernstein and all of the showtime guys had Brook winning and so did the general public. Porter didn't land a clean shot all night. Absolute wipe-out from Brook. Won at least 8 rounds of that fight.
It's not the fact that he picks Khan that makes him salty. It's him openly saying he's biased, and including himself in the top 3 but not the guy that beat him - Not even picking him in the top 5 but guys like Provo over him :lol1: I mean, come on Porter.
I think Sky team had Porter winning but quote me if I'm wrong.
I had Brook winning, he fought a solid fight.
Salty or not it's his opinion.
Same outcome!
12:06 was the punch that won Khan the fight, made Maidana respect his punch and also stopped him coming forward like a bull he is.
Problem was Floyd could not hurt Maidana and that was the problem, same with Broner apart from one of the last rounds were he did hurt Maidana and stopped him in the tracks but at that time it was too late.
Just re scored the fight again 2 days ago. Maidana won rds 3, 6, 7, 10, 12.
Far from a ****ing up, considering Maidana showed no signs of wear. A lot of punches barely land or dont land at all. Khan is all flash no substance.
A rematch would be lights out for Khan.
He still fvcked up your boi!
no, he didn't. maidana never hurt floyd the way he hurt khan. khan is done face it
Dean Khan made Maidana squeal, squeallllll!
Khan won Maidana lost just accept it!
a gassed out and hurt maidana came back late and beat khan badly, who is denying the loss? i just said marcos didn't hurt floyd that bad. if you wanna talk about beating chino use devon, he beat chino better than floyd and khan.
I understand that, Maidana did bust up Khan but Khan put on a better beating on Maidana then Mayweather did.
Khan dropped and hurt Maidana bad, Floyd did not.
Mayweather punch stats 166/326
Khan punch stats 273/603
Maidana respected Khan's power
Maidana did not respect Floyd's power.
Stats don't lie.
Who Khan? The one that almost got knocked out by Maidana and held on for dear life?
Wasn't Amir Khan in his prime when he fought Maidana while Floyd was 37?
The Khan who ducked and wouldn't give a rematch to Maidana?
Didn't floyd give Maidana rematch?
Don't ever compare a Prime Khan who has been ko'd by Presscott/Garcia to a 37 yr old legend who is 47-0.
The one who made Maidana squeal whilst tossing on the floor.
Don't get me wrong I love Maidana the guys real road real grimy but he still got busted up by Khan.
It's crazy how people love to forget Khan made Maidana sequel (never seen Maidana hurt that bad till this day)
Bottom line is Khan beat an on fire Maidana who pretty much was undefeated(controversial Kotelya loss).
Mayweather beat glass chin Khan and quiter Alexander leftovers, that's reality
- made maidana wear non-puncher's gloves twice.
- cheated marquez on the scales.
- made a catchweight against canelo when before he said he would never drain a fighter.
- hasn't scored a legit knockdown since 2009 against a slow bloated ill-prepared marquez who was coming up two weight divisions for the first time (even then marquez gets knocked down pretty easily).
- the ko he scored against ortiz doesn't count since it was a complete sucker punch.
- talks about getting knockouts but ends up running around playing "health first" most of the time.
- says he doesn't have the same love for boxing like he used to have.
- he's slower and his activity level (punches thrown) has been going down by a lot in the last couple of years
- hires ariza despite him and his fans insinuating many times in the past that ariza dopes manny. floyd also has a known steroid scientist in his camp (angel heredia).
- floyd isn't trash talking anymore because he wants to mitigate the backlash against him after he loses.
- floyd is very very insecure.
- he can't chop wood.
F'in sweet with a cherry on on top..
Nice one..
This here is my 12 gauge...
Probably a bad idea to agree to a debate if you don't have ammo prepared, man, lol.
That's why I'm hear my brother loll.
P.s sometimes I go barking up the wrong tree!
You'd better hope the guy you're debating doesn't know what he's talking about. A lot of those things listed are pretty easy to counter.
I will look more in to it. Appreciate the heads up.
