I don't doubt it but he looked like chit vs a guy Khan whooped lmao.
Let me repeat that, KHAN a guy with average power and glass chin WHOOPED Collazo, let that sink in.
So we are using "fight math" now?? Wow you must be smart (insert sarcastic eye roll)...
Spence just might be right....time will tell!!!....being as though Thurman has been in with southpaws in his last couple of fights, I can see him getting Devon Alexander next....for some crazy reason I'm about 90% sure that'll be his next opponent
Alex is fighting Diego Chaves September 26 for IBF eliminator.

I used to think this would be 50/50 but I felt against Lo Greco he looked real suspect in that 1st round. Once he started letting his hands go he was all good but he was getting tagged with overhand rights and looked generally uncomfortable.
You can't just go from being a prospect fighting D level to fighting B+ level opp unless you are truly special. If this fight happens next we will find out if Spence is special or not imo.
Remember that fight was on 2 days notice. Taking one round to feel out a replacement opponent and finishing him two rounds later might be another way to look at it? Porter went 10 with Lo Greco.
It'll be interesting to see how Spence deals with Thurman's speed and movement. If Spence can cut the ring off and make it a dog fight, he'll have a good shot of winning the fight.
Look at all these “Power Puff Girls” jumping off the Thurman bandwagon. LOL!
Now you see why he didn't want any part of Spence.
Name all the top 10 fighters Spence beat.
He shouldn't lose to Spence if he's the top dog like everyone is saying, right?
Have you actually read any of the comments in any of the threads on this board? They run about 90% Thurman is shit. And that ain't nothin' new. Since he failed to KO Bundu, NSB has run like 70% + Thurman is shit.
Even so, Spence needs to beat somebody with a pulse before his femmy trash talk is given credence.
He's not the top dog when he hasn't faced Brook/Porter/Khan/Bradley/Maidana/Alexander. Only if he can't get those guys should he face Spence. It's a lose-lose for Thurman as Spence hasn't fought any notable contender yet. His most notable opposition is Lo Greco and Ronald Cruz, he's still in the prospect phase and Thurman should avoid being used as a stepping stone. Spence vs. Berto/Alexander is what I want to see next.
Maidana already ducked thurman

Brook will be tied up with Rios (most likely.)
Khan with Mayweather (most likely.)
Porter is back in September. No opponent. Maybe Robert Guerrero? Maybe Keith Thurman. But Keith vs. Shawn is a main event and Shawn said he not fighting on Mayweather's undercard. PBC is all tied up on September. Unless they have something scheduled the week after Mayweather fight?
Berto is free, and he's WBA Interim Champ. So it's most likely Thurman vs. Berto in the fall.

Thurman is close to fighting other contenders. Losing to Spence will derail all of that. I don't see why he would take such a risk unless no one else is available.

Spence is 25 years old. If he's not ready now, than when will he be ready at 27? Thurman is only 14 months older than Spence, but he's been a pro a few years longer.
If I'm Thurman, I except the fight and call his bluff. Take him out right now. See if he really wants it or not.
Thurman will probably be fighting a fellow contender next. Losing to Spence will derail all of that and make Thurman easier to avoid. I don't see why he would take such a risk unless no one else is available. If he can't get Brook/Khan/Porter/Alexander/Bradley/Chino, then he should settle for Spence.
