Now you like excessive clinching? Of course not. But when Maidana is shooting low blows, elbows, headbutts, biting etc what do you expect Floyd to do? The annoying thing about the clinching was not that it happened in my book, it was that it was broken up when Maidana stil had one hand free. And as Malignaggi rightly pointed out, Bayless broke it up even before it started. But the point I was making was around Floyd's movement. Fans want him to forget about defence and just throw punches out of nowhere and go to war. Why would he do that? He would give up all the advantages he has going in. Like the title says. Khan was buzzed and on queer street and got on his bicycle. Floyd was fine yet he decided to entertain us with excessive running and holding. Mayweather was also hurt, so he ran for largely the same reason, the difference is Khans chin is easier to find, in Khans fight the ref actually let them fight also, there was zero inside fighting thanks to kenny, thats not even boxing at that point, it's pathetic.
