Broner was humble and always showed respect to his opponents. He just so happend to be too damn confident which persuaded y'all to perceive him as some arrogant brat. Y couldn't we all show love to him?
Didn't sound like he respected Paulie after they fought.
Tarver didn't win the fight. Kayode was missing a lot, and Tarver was landing the more effective punches, but Kayode was much more active. Tarver giving away the first 5-6 rounds, really ****ed him up. I'm fine with a draw.
Gave away the first 5 but he dominated the 6th onward losing only 1 round in my opinion. So I feel the draw was the right decision.
I know many think Bute is overrated and just got exposed but boy oh boy did Froch look spectacular.
He really did look pretty quick tonight & that was punch perfect.
What a performance.
The Cobra strikes again.
''The bookies know sh1t about boxing'' - Carl Froch!
I actually thought he looked like crap. had his hands down and came in head first a lot. Bute is just straight up garbage and it's nice to know the hype train is over.
He was never a power puncher to begin with. He knocked out his opponents thru an accumilation of punishment and this goes to show how little you actually know.
Golden Johnson disagrees lol.
ESPN never stopped dissing Mayweather , so stop its irrelevant :lol1:

Good thing Lebron James isn't a boxer...Lol

I can't believe you said he should do what Williams did....I mean he still came close to losing anyways. I agree with the others. he should fight like how Mosley did(just with a little more polish)
Naravaez put up more of a fight than Clottey lol.
That's a lie and you know it. At least Clottey messed up Pacquiao's face. Heck I bet Clottey threw more too.
I do not think we will see Berto as a high profile fighter anymore. He will get a couple more high profile paydays of course but to me, it seems his punch resistance and reflexes are withering away every time he steps in the ring. Also he just seemed all out of sorts in there. He had some success in spots, but he had ample opportunities to spin off the ropes and make things happen. I suppose one could blame it on rust or weight drain, but I am not so sure. It was like he never could settle into the fight. Something is not right with him.
Guerrero surprised me with his strength and monster grit. I was not expecting that type of fight from him at all. He still frustrated me a bit by smothering his own punches. I wish he would have created some space once in a while to get some good power punches in there. If he would have, he would have gotten Berto out of there. Cannot criticize him really though. He got in there and pounded out a win in an impressive manner.
He never had a good chin....dude got stunned in the first round to Collazo who is not a big puncher.
I'm responding to the fact that garcia said that ninito claimed he broke his hand (he told that to the hbo crew)
BTW donaires hand wasn't that much hurt considering that he bombed away with his right for about 7 rounds after the 2nd....
he hurt vazquez in the 11th with that right I believe it was the left hand that he hurt.
If Andre Berto avenges his only career defeat against Victor Ortiz on February 11th, could he be the one person no one is talking about as an opponent for Floyd Mayweather???
Yes, Berto lost to Ortiz, but he didn't look terrible. It was a tough fight, showed us Ortiz was no joke, and was a FOTY winner. Andre Berto is 28-1 (22 KO's), former WBC and IBF Wleterweight champ. Even in the Fall of 2010, Arum put false hope out there that Andre Berto could fight Manny Pacquiao, but instead Manny chose to fight Shane Mosley, who'd just been dominated by Floyd. That left the door open for Berto to give Ortiz a title shot at 147. Ortiz was a decent underdog and most picked Berto to win, though Ortiz pulled off a stunning win, which launched him into the spot as the nest best WW besides Floyd and Manny, and into a highly anticipated Mayweather showdown.
Berto came back and beat a decent guy in Zaveck to win the IBF title and is now on amission to avenge his only loss against Ortiz.
Given that Lou Dibella already said Berto could be ready for May or June if he beats Ortiz, could Andre Berto be a dark horse to fight Mayweather on May 5th???
Also, Floyd was apparently at Berto-Ortiz I scouting Andre Berto and was rumored to want Andre Berto as his first fight back.
Besides round 6 or w/e round that was he looked absolutely terrible. Heck he looked terrible in that round when he tried to go for the kill leaving himself so open and getting hit by the same punch twice lol.
It was prior to his 1st loss to pacquiao. I doubt the plate had anything to do with the actual loss but if there was ever a legit excuse for anyone else to use that one would be the winner.
I don't think it would. I believe the doctors said he was ok to fight and that was like years later when he fought Pacquiao lol.
How about getting a metal plate inserted into your skull just before signing for a fight??? actually happened to barrera.
Also sometimes a broken hand can be pretty legit.
Didn't Barrera win though?
