im pretty sure he hits hard but not as hard as he used to. this mofuucker, no doubt in my mind has been using plaster majority of his career.
Come sept 19, his orbital bone will be busted again and cotto will get his revenge.
any of you cabronitos/plasterito stans wanna bet, lets get it!
He was never a power puncher to begin with. He knocked out his opponents thru an accumilation of punishment and this goes to show how little you actually know.
Golden Johnson disagrees lol.

Plaster hardens as the rounds pass.
And? Did his point go over your head?
He had the power to finish him quicker pre-Williams no?
From 99-2007(Up to the Williams fight) He only failed to stop 3 opponents(Perez, Santos, and Clottey). So his power was there pre-Williams.
Cotto needs to have learned how to clinch up or to avoid unnecessary damage in some other way besides moving away.
Cotto is going to get hit and get hit a lot, if he gets forced backward and to fight off the back foot again I don't like his chances. Cotto is the better technical boxer but he is not the sort that can freeze out Margarito.
If Cotto can go forward and force Margarito back he will win though.
How is that even viable?
Before Paul Williams, he fights Cintron and finishes him. After Paul Williams, he fights Cintron again and finishes him LATER than the first time.
So how is that even possible? With bricks, he should finish Cintron faster than the first time, not later.

Also. Did anyone take into consideration that Margarito's size advantage over Middleweights isn't the same as Welterweights? So his punching power wouldn't seem as devastating against the bigger guys.
Also. Margarito never had one shot power anyways. He throws a billion punches which all add up to knocking out an opponent. Not one big shot, that lays someone flat. This has never changed.
I doubt he has been using all his career, I think he started since the lost to Paul Williams. Who knows.

He hurt Pacquiao to the body but you could be right. Margarito is no puncher but it will be a problem for Cotto if Margarito can impose his will and make it a brawl.

Margarito will have Cotto backpedaling by the 4th round if not before. 153 pound margarito will be a problem for Cotto. Margarito to win.
