Cintron would probably KO him, but I have a feeling Cotto will be the next champ at 140lbs, as long as he stay away from Tszyu he has a future infront of him.
Nobody is scared of Ricky Hatton. Sharmba Mitchell challenged Hatton on live TV and Hatton backed out once the camera was off. At that time Mitchell was the interm IBF champion, and the interm champ by IBF law has an automatic shot at the champ once he can fight.
If Hatton would have fought Mitchell he could have had a shot at the interm title there by having an automatic shot at the real title. Also, the interm champion is automatically intitled to 45% of the purse against the real champ, now Hatton is only a contender and only in position to get 25% of the purse.
If Hatton would have fought Mitchell he could have earned respect, and would have been in position to force a fight with Tszyu that he was intitled to nearly half the purse. But like a classic coward Hatton backed out of the fight with Mitchell even though he had everything to gain, and than he backed out of his fight Harris, and now looks to be backing out of a fight with Cotto.
Now he'll only fight Tszyu if it's in Manchester? What world is Hatton living in if he thinks champions fly half way around the world to defend their title in the challenger's back yard. People try to blame Frank Warren but the fact is Warren and Hatton are thick as theives and have no real intentions of making competitive fights. They just want to ride the gravy train as far as it will take them.
Once Hatton's sorry ass gets KO'd I doubt we'll ever see him again. Than again he might just fight 38 more bums until another sanctioning body is stupid enough to rank him number 1.
That is just my opinion.
i completely understand that...i was just showing harlod's scorecards to tracy who thought otherwise...btw harold is considered by many as a boxing expert, with judging as his specialty. hbo won't pay him for his services if he was a bummer.
I understand that he is an expert, I don't question him on that, that doesn't mean he is impervious from making some bad calls. Like he thought that Winky Wright won round one in the rematch against Mosley. I'm sorry, but that was a bad call, round one was Shane's all the way. In a close fight those one or two round differences can having him calling the wrong man the winner.
Ray boom boom Mancini ruined somebodys career.
I'd say the ref was more responsible for Kim's death than Mancini was, that fight should have been stopped earlier.
hey man, you sure of what you are sayin'?? marquez knocking out pacman..i doubt it..but if you say marquez winning by a split decision, or UD, well, i may agree on you, but of course with the help of the judges in favor of marquez..hehe..LOL
It was almost shocking how fast Marquez figured Pacman out, Pac was strickly head hunting the rest of the night, he appeared almost sluggish after round 1. Pacquiao has been stopped in the past by lesser fighters, I'm sure this time around JMM will leave little doubt about who is the man at 126lbs.
i take that, harold saw manny winning by 5 points. the same way the other judge saw it. larry merchant had pac winning a close fight.

His scorecard is not the end all be all of boxing. He is actually wrong alot of the time. Also, Harold has access to resources offical judges don't, like Compubox and expert opinions from Roy Jones, Goerge Foreman, Manny Steward ect. all this can have an effect on the perception of the fight.
Actually the list of fighters they have is impressive, some of them actually have a chance at becoming world champions, unlike the bums they had on Oscar's show.
Both guys have very similar KO rate and boxing skills (Lykhovich did outbox Guinn though).
Big deal, Guinn has always been an overrated bum. I've been saying that for years too. He beat two guys with glass jaws (Grant, Dowikwari) and people thought he was the second comming of Ali.
Sanders would take him out again, the thought of Sanders is still holding Wlad back, can you imagin what Sander being right there in front of him will do?
If Jones fights at heavyweight now he'll get killed. Can you imagin if instead of Tarver landing a straight left it was Sanders? It would have tore Roy's head clean off.
Where does everyone rate Gatti at 140?
I rate him about 6/7.
Below is how Boxrec rate 140, they use a point system without bias to any fighter.
World Light Welterweight Ratings
Name
1 Kostya Tszyu
2 Floyd Mayweather Jr.
3 Ricky Hatton
4 Miguel Angel Cotto
5 Vivian Harris
6 Sharmba Mitchell
7 Arturo Gatti
You must be new to boxing if you believe boxrec's rankings. Pick up an issue of Ring Magazine and you'll konw what the rankings really are.
New to boxing, LMAO :D
The ring is an American magazine so it is bias to the American boxing scene, all the other magazines around the world are bias towards there own fighters.
All the belts are bias toward certain fighters. I picked Boxrec because its an unbias rating system, not everyone will agree with it but thats the same with any ratings.
I posted the rating for users to make quick reference too, i dont exactly agree with it myself.
A number ranking system is biased too, because it ranks unbeaten fighters way too high, look how high boxrec ranks Valuev, it is ridiculous.
Look, Roy Jones Jr was a paper champ, that is obvious. You can argue he was the best in every division he fought in, but that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't the man who beat the man. The minute you throw that principle out the window you surrender your will to the sanctioning bodies.
Back in 1988 Mike Tyson had all the heavyweight titles, but the true champ was obviously Michael Spinks, he beat Larry Holmes. If Jones had did what Tyson did we wouldn't even be having this debate.
He never lost the belt in a fight (before Tarver). And HE did not steal it. But I said that a couple of times before
But go ahead try to talk something black into someting very very light grey (AKA white), but if I do not responding anymore is not because I agree with you. :p
(And maybe I will, somethimes I like the "yes-no game" with the my kids also) ;)
Roy didn't steal the belt, but in a manner of speaking the belt did fall off the truck and he picked it up. It was the WBC that made the mistake and costed them dearly. I think the whole situation was messed up because it was decided in court that Rocky was the WBC champion before being beaten by DM, but the title still remained with Roy Jones Jr.
