oh wow i usually tend to respect all opinions and point of views even if i dont agree with them but this thread is non-sense 4 real. lol u must of forgetten the many people cotto has made shit on themselves with them punishing bodyshots or the faces he has rearangged lol. or how he damn near ripped gianluca brancos shoulder off lmao. i surely cant wait to june 13th to see the next step in cottos journey back to his welterweight throne. lets go cotto...
hey ive been wrong before in my predictions and ill probably be wrong many times more. but im going with my boy pacquiao if they fought now. marquez probably can beat pacquiao,he fought him tooth n nail for 24rounds,but i believe if pacquiao and marquez fought 50 times i dont know who would win but i believe marquez would hit the canvas in every one of them fights lol.
This is a fight i always wanted to see the build-up would have been perfect. Lennox lewis knocked bowe out in the amatuers after riddick bowe beat holyfield for the title bowe was exiting the ring and him and lennox lewis who was doing commentary got into a heated argument.and when lennox lewis became mandatory for bowe his manager advised him to thrash the wbc title. This fight would have been big. I would have favored lennox lewis by a ud....bowe-tyson was another i wanted to see.
i doubt that pac-mayweather will be the last superfight ever. there might not be a bigger ppv fight to make at the moment but im sure as the year progress theres other fights that will build a buzz. im looking forward to the outcome of cotto-clottey to see if my boy cotto gets back in the mix with the big names or if he will get derailed and become a gatekeeper at 147. right now everything revolves around manny pacquiao and the outcome of marquez-mayweather.
In my opinion no he wouldnt be a bitch. Cuz truth be told i been wanting to see cotto vs mayweather for 2 and half years and mosley vs mayweather since 2000. The big money fight would be pac vs floyd which i dont mind seeing either but if he takes cotto or mosley before pac its all good in my book.
yes roy jones definitely top 50 on my atg lists. truth be told i always said if jones would have fought tarver and johnson before his jump to heavies that he would have toyed with them. if jones would have done that and then win the heavyweight strap like he did and retire he would have been arguably been consider the greatest of all time in my opinion.
manny paquiaos resume speaks volumes. and it doesnt matter what the haters say about barrera moralez n larios being washed up or shot remember erik moralez beat manny paquiao in the 1st fight. he has won numerous titles in different weight classes has beaten numerous future hall of famers. one thing that separates manny paquiao resume from 90% of his peers is win(barrera1-morales2-marquez2-diaz n delahoya) lose(moralez1) draw(marquez1) he always was entertaining to watch.
moralez was trying to engage a brawl with raheem thru the whole fight taunting him and everything but sticking to his guns and very calculated gameplan zahir raheem the slicker boxer outboxed moralez. it wasnt an exciting fight at all matter of fact the highlite of that bout was when the cameras was filming manny paquiao watching the fight from his dressing room and hes sitting on gary shaws lap lol CLASSIC.
i like joe i aint the biggest calzaghe fan but much respect to him and his accomplishments. but if i had 2 pick a favorite moment it would be when he and kessler fought for 168 supremacy in calzaghe final fight at that weight.
even the biggest mayweather fans who are true boxing fans wants to see and have wanted to see mosley vs mayweather for years and if theres any chance of it happening lets get it done. hopkins160-calzaghe168-jones175 while dominating there divisions fans wanted for years for these men 2 collide probably werent happy with the outcome of the bouts but happy that the fights got done. what im saying is i dont care who wins this fight i have been wanting to see this fight for a long time.
there are so many great fights.marquez-vasquez trilogy,gatti-ward 1 and 3,barrera-moralez1 and 3,pacquiao-marquez 1 and 2,pacquiao-moralez trilogy, holyfield-bowe trilogy,ali-frazier trilogy,barrios-frietas,katsidis-amongstot,katsidis-casamayor,marquez-diaz,cotto-margarito,arce-hussein1,carbajal-gonzalez 1 and 2,there are so many great fights i seen but the one that sticks out the most is the brutal war between the late diego corralez vs jose luis castillo.
The marquez brothers,israel vasquez,fernando montiel,humberto soto,abner mares,jhonny gonzales,victor ortiz,jorge arce,damn theres to many to mention lol.
lol i dont know i guess both get the same amount of credit. i put it like this floyd mayweather vs ricky hatton was a bout pitting the lineal junior welterweight champion vs the reigning p4p and lineal welterweight champion of the world both undefeated and both in the prime of their careers. even tho hatton came up short in his quest to become 147pd champ of world and p4p king he still was the lineal junior welterweight champ and still is one of boxing bigger draws. so now if manny paquiao defeats hatton it would hand hattons first loss at the junior welterweight division and end a 4 year championship run that dates back to the stoppage of tszyu in 2005. i guess we will find out may 2nd to see if pac-man gets past the hitman so we could compare performances.
mosley has beaten delahoya n vargas in both the first n second fights. mosley has never won a rematch when he lost the 1st fight(forrest and wright). the first fight with cotto was close. i had cotto winning 7-5. but the late rounds mosley got into his rhythem. i believe styles makes fights and i still believe cotto will edge mosley in another close fight.in no way cotto stops mosley at all or even come close too. just my opinion...
im a big fan of m.a.b one of my favorite fighters of all time. in 07 we seen barreras days at or near the top of the game come to a close. in march of 07 he box and battled marquez for 12 hard rounds and lost a decision in which i believe he did enough early to get the nod but in that fight we seen the last of the true mexican baby faced assasin. in his next fight against manny pacquiao we seen a barrera that didnt want to avenge his loss but a barrera that just wanted to survive and go twelve rounds with the guy who dismantled him 4 years pryor. barrera in that fight looked shot and looked like he could no longer pull the trigger. i hope he does knocks amir khans block off. but even if he does beat khan i just dont see m.a.b in a big fight again. just my opinion.
i would haved loved to seen this fight. tito was the most exciting welterweight in my lifetime with his vulnerability and wicked ko power he was always a must see. but mosleys speed and great footwork and stamina would have probably got the nod. ill say mosley by decision.
