I don't know if its the greatest fight i've seen but it left the biggest impression on me, Buster Douglas VS Tyson - (i'm only listing what i saw live) Cotto vs Margs was intense, but...who knows .... Augustus VS Ward was good too
i can tell ur a farely new fan ... and that's cool.. me too to an extent... those 4 fights u mentioned are the absolute best in the last 10 years
I' ve been a fan for a while, I jus dont wanna dig up fights from before my time but your right those four are "modern" classics that hold their own with sum of the older fights
Chico vs castillio, vazquez marquez 3, even pavlik vs taylor 1, would say cotto-margo but that would start some other shit

there are so many great fights.marquez-vasquez trilogy,gatti-ward 1 and 3,barrera-moralez1 and 3,pacquiao-marquez 1 and 2,pacquiao-moralez trilogy, holyfield-bowe trilogy,ali-frazier trilogy,barrios-frietas,katsidis-amongstot,katsidis-casamayor,marquez-diaz,cotto-margarito,arce-hussein1,carbajal-gonzalez 1 and 2,there are so many great fights i seen but the one that sticks out the most is the brutal war between the late diego corralez vs jose luis castillo.
JMM vs Pacman 2
Had everything i could ask for in a 12 round championship fight. good boxing, good counterpunching, aggression, back and forth action, powershots, blood, a knockdown, two future hall of famers, the two best fighters at that weight in their primes, and it was one of the closest if not the closest fight i have ever seen. I dont think anyone was sure until the verdict was read who was going to win.
The fight was so good that many times during the rounds, the HBO Commentary team would be silent for 20 or 30 seconds just watching in awe and letting both boxers fist do the talking. Great stuff.
Ali-Frazier I
The outcome was in doubt until the end, and every round had good action. I still score it a little different each time I watch it.

Holyfield vs Bowe

leonard vs hagler
rosario vs chaves
chaves vs taylor
holyfield vs tyson
rocky martinez vs azuquita (WAR)
cotto vs margarito*(Plaster)
gatti vs ward (war)
great fight(s) also, but I only watched it a recording of it. U always get more pumped watching a fight live on tv or the venue, replays just arent the same, thats why I picked castillo corrales over it.
thats also a good one, but i remmember when i was like 8, my dad and me were watching gatti vs ward live on tv. and we live in lowell, so it was great to see our homettown boy win one of the most thrillibg fights ever.
You gotta be thinking of the first fight in which Carbs came back to score the knockout along the ropes. Great, great fight.
Its been a long time and even don't i don't remember how the fight goes or who wins. I wished i can download the fight.
greatest live fight ever witnessed would have to be corrales-castillo 1.......another fight worth mentioning where i felt so much honor to have watched it was morales-pac 1....
ward vs gatti takes the cake for me
