When he eventually retires, will he go down in history as the greatest British boxer of all time?
Obviously he will never be a boxing ATG, but the United Kingdom has not produced any where near as many great World Champions as the USA, partly because our entire nation is no where near as big as the state of Texas!
For me, the best British fighter of all time at the moment is Joe Calzaghe, simply because he has won well over twenty World Championship fights and has beaten the likes of Hopkins, Eubank, Lacy, Roy Jones Jr. and Mikkel Kessler.
Why do you hate the Brits so much, Lead Cenobite?
I don't hate Brits, I dislike overly nationalist biased fanboy nutthuggers who have strong loud opinions that are clouded by their bias, nationalism or bigotry.
I enjoy watching them fall (the fans).
I mean next you're going to ask me why I'm a Naseem, and Lewis fan right? Coming around on Khan too.....

Voted up for SELF FAIL. Always fun to see a whacked out nationalistic retard OWN HIMSELF.
the only good win that Hatton has is a wrestling match against Kostya Tzsu, he is sooo overated ... he obviously lost against Collazo and won against an old Jose Luis Castillo a fighter i dont think is that great ....
Hatton never beat anyone of note and is just a bum and always has been a bum.
If he's one of the top 25 greatest ever fighters of the UK, then for such a huge nation that is an utter disgrace.
Huge nation? Illinois is bigger than England man!!
Anyway, Hatton may be overrated but the likes of Kostya Tzsu and Luis Castillo and Collazo are not bums!!! Well, they certainly weren't all those years ago when Hatton destroyed them.

I have changed my mind about Hatton since his defeat to Pacman.
Okay, he was a good fighter before he started abusing his body and not many men have won four different World titles in two different weight divisions, but he is far from the great some thought he was.
Also, when he beat the likes of Castillo and Kostya Tszu he was a different fighter to the one he is today. The Hatton of today does not disupt the rhythm of his opponents, does not move his head and does not parry shots.

If that's what you want to believe.

Your population in GB is twice as great as the population of texas.

hatton's performances were always boring, imo. Couple that with his lame excuses and I cannot see how anyone can respect him anymore. If he manned up and just conceded the losses without trying to save face people would have respected him. Every interview he does detracts from his popularity.

The Manchester Midget is one of the biggest frauds ever!!!!!!!
I agree since may2005 to present hes been the man at light-welterweight cant take that from him.
Glad to see a no crass BS in that post.
We have seen so much of that on here lately.
if he beats Pac, Marquez and wins a rematch against Mayweather at 140 he will go down as one of the greatest that has ever boxed of any nationality.
I think that is pretty obvious, but now his peak has past he sadly has no chance of doing any of that.
It would be a dream come true for me if he did that, because he is such a likeable guy who does so much for charity but how likely is that?
I would give anyone odds of a million to one against that!
