I'd like to see boxing do something like this with the divisions. Imagine how exciting a new 215lb division would be. Heavyweights should also have to make weight like every other weight class. It would be better for boxing in the long run.
107-Flyweight
114-Bantamweight
120-Featherweight
127-Junior Lightweight
134-Lightweight
140-Junior Welterweight
147-Welterweight
154-Junior Middleweight
160-Middleweight
167-Super Middleweight
175-Light Cruiserweight
190-Cruiserweight
215-Light Heavyweight
260-Heavyweight
"Bob arum- manny told me u again tried to get him to fire me. Is it Alzheimer's or are you this ****ing stupid! Hope u Enjoy my new article."

This is the part that interests me.
I don't know about a super heavyweight division, but I do think that heavyweights should have to make weight like every other weight class. A limit of 250 would be ideal. Both of the Klitschko's can make it, and it would make the heavyweight division better by cutting out all of the out of shape heavies. If you can't cut to 250 then you should find another line of work.
I still don't think enough is being done to expose Arum though. It should be on the front page of every major news outlet in the world that Bob Arum is holding up the biggest fight in boxing in over a decade. Then the world would know the truth, and not just people that follow every boxing headline.
UFC was a fad, and the fad has passed. I'm starting to see less and less douche bags in affliction and tap out tees. Big name white American stars like Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, and Brock Lesnar etc. are all retired. Now the sport is overwhelmingly dominated by a black guy(Jon Jones) and a bunch of Brazilians that the UFC's redneck fanbase could give a **** about. I'm not much of a fan of UFC, but I'm not a hater either. There are some things they do better than boxing, but they could take a lesson or two from boxing as well. Like learning how to build up a star, and not having all of your sports biggest fights on ppv. Boxing holds 95% of it's biggest fights on HBO and Showtime. I prefer the boxing business model.
I'm no fan of Bob Arum by any means, but that guy knows how to build up a star. He made Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire, Julio Chavez jr., Brandon Rios, Juan Manuel Lopez, and Yuriokis Gamboa what they are today. Not to mention Tim Bradley is now a household name. Goldenboy has an entire stable full of future stars as well i.e. Garry Russell jr., Adrien Broner, Amir Khan, Canelo Alvarez, Devon Alexander, and Victor Ortiz. Floyd and Manny will be retiring in a couple of years, but the future of boxing looks very bright. UFC's numbers have been on a steady decline since the height of Brockmania.
Of course Froch has surpassed Calzaghe. He is a warrior that is willing to fight any and everybody. His resume already s**** all over Calzaghe's, and he is still adding names to it. Calzaghe has no legacy, and it's his own fault for it. His fans need to get over it. They are mad because nobody outside of the UK respects Calzaghe, but Froch is out making skeptics believers.
He will never surpass Lennox Lewis, but If Froch Beats Kessler in a rematch and moves up to 175 and beats Dawson, he would definitely secure himself in history as a British legend and of one of their greatest fighters ever. He has already surpassed Calslappy in my opinion, and beating Kessler and Dawson would just be the icing on the cake.
39.6% was the same tax rate the wealthy paid under Clinton in the 90's. You didn't hear Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, and Roy Jones complaining about tax rates back then. This is nothing more than a greedy old man's agenda. Manny don't know **** about the US tax system. This is all Bob Arum.
Funnily enough I agree with a lot of that. Except the part where you said Peterson owned Khan, he didn't, he got a steal and Khan was 'jobbed'.
Mayweather isn't a pressure fighter and doesn't have an inside game worth sh*t.
His inside game looked alright to me when he was systematically breaking down Ricky the hit and hold man Hatton.
Khan is a good young boxer, and a risk taker. I'll give him credit for that. He needs to learn to be more humble though, and quit mentioning Mayweather's name when he clearly isn't ready. How about beating Peterson and Madaina decisively first. Then maybe a Berto/Ortiz winner after that.
i like andre ward i think he is a very good solid fighter but calzaghe was abit special
very unconventional style and he wasn't scared of a fight either
ward still holds too much on the inside for me but he is going to be a force in boxing in the coming years no doubt
for me calzaghe was better though
Really??? The guy ducked Glen Johnson 3 times!
It's funny that whenever Calzaghe is brought up it's always in a hypothetical situation. It's always about what he would do, and never about what he did do. Think about this. We are comparing a 27 year old kid's resume to a retired veteran with 20 title defenses at super middleweight, and there is a question as to who's resume is better. That says a lot about what Joe did in his career, and why there are very few outside of the UK that respect him.
Andre Ward isn't even 30 years old, and his resume is already light years ahead of Calzaghe's. If Ward fights Bute next it's the nail in the coffin for the old Welsh slapper's legacy at super middleweight.

Had to post some facts. Now continue with the regularly scheduled Floyd and Obama hatred.
That was Rude Jude from the Jenny Jones show.
This dude ain't been relevant since Jenny Jones went off the air. He obviously doesn't know much about boxing if he is calling the guys Floyd beat bums. Hell, Pac is fighting the same guys.
What is she talking about? Victor was getting a thorough beating. His eye was already dotted up.This chick is crazy. Ortiz got exactly what he deserved. If you headbutt a grown ass man on purpose expect some type of retaliation. Protect yourselves at all times gentlemen.
Bruce Lee was the man. He captivated an entire generation, and kids today are still discovering just how great he was.
My favorite scene with Bruce Lee. He absolutely owns the boss's son at the end.
Not true kids of this generation don't give a **** about lee. Thats why in 50 years he won't be rememberd. Because no one will watch his movies anymore. But real fighters like tyson and ali will always be remembered as long as boxing exicts
It's already been 40 years since the man passed away, and people still remember him. You can also look at how popular MMA is these days. Bruce Lee has been referred to as the father of MMA. So I think his legend will live.
Removing anything would just create catchweights left and right
I don't think so. You just wouldn't see as much jumping around divisions. You either fight in a certain division or you don't.
110 Flyweight
120 Bantamweight
130 Featherweight
140 Lightweight
150 Welterweight
160 Middleweight
175 Light Heavyweight
190 Cruiserweight
200-250 Heavyweight
Get rid of all the juniors and supers.
Have one champion per division.
Heavyweights have to start making weight.
A top 20 contenders for the champ type ranking system, for each division. Updated once every month.
You can have catchweight fights, but no catchweights for titles.
All of these things would make boxing better, and more popular in the mainstream in my opinion.
