if may/pac can not be made there's not a better fight to be made for floyd. you can argue martinez but him @150 kinda cheapens that. may and cotto have history and it will be good to see them finally fight. cotto is the best guy he's fought in a long time.
People are hating hard on Cotto, but who deserves a fight with May more than him right now? He is finally out of Arum's shackles, and can make a fight with Floyd, that in my opinion is still a legit matchup despite their respective declines in recent years. Let these dudes do business with each other and support the fight.
No he's not and Bob knew this back when Mayweather was under Top Rank and protected Cotto from Mayweather and protected Mayeather from De La Hoya. Floyd fired bob for not making the fights.
Now, speaking of "0%" that's how many Top Rank fighters Floyd has fought since he fired Bob.
SO Mayweather beats DLH after turning free agent. NOW Cotto beats Mayweather after turning free agent. Is this the pattern? IDK. Reading jrosales posts is making me dumb.
Exactly, and the point stylistically Cotto doesn't have a chance against Floyd. And, it doesn't matter at what weight they fight in. 147-154 Cotto chance of winning is 0%.
You are obviously not a very astute boxing observer if you think Cotto stands 0% of winning against Mayweather. Floyd needs to increase his workrate in order to keep Cotto from getting comfortable. If he doesn't pressure Cotto, he will need to box convinsingly to win a SD or UD, I doubt he can knock him out, and doubt he would try to, if he tries to he will not be so "pretty" after the final bell. Cotto stands a legitimate shot of winning the fight if it happens.
I'm still keeping my word though, of disowning Mayweather completely if he fights Cotto. Just waiting on the official word and he will be off my sig and everything. I will delete him from Facebook too. This is personal, it's serious business for me.
That's taking things too far :bottle:
Are you kidding me ? 0% I mean i know Mayweather has the superior boxing skills but boxing is'nt a play its not like the script is written or anything . Anything can happen.

lmfao if this is true Floyd is going to fight Pacquiao's leftovers.
Since Pacquiao's leftovers have more balls to face Mayweather, and they don't have "5 month cuts to heal" or they're not building an imaginary stadium
You might be correct, Mayweather is facing Pac's leftovers, which originally was a Margarito's leftover, previous Cotto-Pacquiao.
if floyd do fight cotto at 154 why didnt he fight martinez at 154? why say 150 for serg??
Again, this displays how much of an idiot you are. Sergio said HE would fight Floyd (or Pac) at 150...
NO not when a fighter quits in the ring and is mentally never the same after. Just look at Hatton when Mayweather sent him on a date with that whore of a ring post..
Look at Margarito when Mosley fuked his life... Why do you think Pac fought Marg? Marg certainly wasn't "too good"... You don't have to like or dislike left overs but Cotto, Hatton and Margarito where certainly damaged left overs and Pac fought both them AFTER the fact.
I am perfectly Okay with saying so and so fought someone coming off losses. But "leftovers" is bull.
For example, Margarito got KO'd by Mosley, came back and fought Pac, looked AWFUL. Margarito was not a left over, he was a past prime fighter coming off a KO loss.
I just don't like using "leftovers" in boxing discussions. And hey, we're both Floyd fans here, I think we can agree on a few things.
funny thing is that pac out did floyd and put on a better performance against floyd's left overs. for floyd to get any credit, he's gonna have to out do pac and KO cotto which i dont see that happening.
This displays just how much of an idiot you are.
I hate the "left over" talk too. It's bulls**t. Cotto is past his prime-still good. He's pretty much the same guy he was in 09' when he fought Pac, only at SWW now.
Floyd got more credit for Hatton, because he did it first. But, Pac still gets his due for beating Hatton. In this case, Floyd would still get his due for beating Cotto, but Pac gets more because he did it first.
Pac or Floyd vs. Cotto at 154 is a B+ fight. At 150, it's a C+/B-. At 147, it's a C-/C.
Cotto isn't "shot". Shot is someone like Margarito, Mosley, etc.

True. But again, Floyd fought the better versions of Hatton and Oscar. Regardless, you still get more credit for doing it first. That goes with pretty much any boxer.
It's not like Floyd did crappy against a prime Hatton, he was up 8-1/7-2 at the time of the KO. And the Oscar fight was a SD, but any reasonable and unbias boxing fan could see that fight was NOT A SPLIT DECISION. Floyd out landed Oscar by like 80 something punches and landed over 40% of his punches. I had that fight 9-3 Floyd, at the most 8-4 if I was being generous.
Floyd and Manny have totally different styles. Manny is more of a combo fighter, who rushes in and out, throwing a ton, he tends to kock more people out. Floyd picks his punches and picks you apart.
Wouldn't you at least agree that Pac should fight Bradley if May-Pac isn't it???
nice try buddy but pac fought BOTH of them. cotto is a marg's left over, coool.... pac took care of that then took care of marg, wait wait marg is a mosley left over, pac took care of that too. LOL!!
p.s. if cotto hasnt been the same since the first marg fight then why is floyd gonna fight cotto for then? LOL!! u said it not me!
p.s.s cotto got his revenge at marg thanks to pac LOL!!
Jezz you're a tool...
Nobody wants to see Cotto get embarrassed by Mayweather but its a hole hell of a lot better than Alvarez getting that pay day.
Bottom line chief, Pac agreed to the lesser share, May 5th and blood and urine testing so I wouldn't get your panties wrapped up in a bunch. Now carry on...
i hate the "left over" part period!! in this sport u're bound to fight someone that another boxer have faced already, its just how it is. it was the floyd fans who took the left over part and blew it out. now they're backtracking what they said about left overs.
Well, I am a Floyd fan, but never said anything about left overs. But, yes, a ton of Floyd fans did, because Floyd talked s**t about Manny a couple of times and said that. Floyd always talks s**t, but some people read too far into it.
It's like saying Ali was Frazier's leftovers when Norton beat him. Or that Joe Frazier was George Foreman's leftovers when Ali beat him. Or that Floyd Patterson was Liston's leftovers when Ali beat him. Or that Hearns was Ray's leftovers when Hagler beat him. Or that Tyson was Douglas' leftovers when Holyfield beat him. The list goes on and on and on throughout the history of boxing. Yes, you get more credit for beating someone first, but you still your due for beating someone, if they are still good.
Example, when Hatton fought Pac, he was still good. Cotto is still good. He's not prime, hasn't been the Margarito plaster fight, but he's still good.
If it's not Mayweather-Pacquiao, they better make it for NOV or DEC. And in the meantime, it better be Mayweather-Cotto (hopefully at 154) and Pacquiao-Bradley.

Don't really wanna see it, although I don't mind it very much if its at 154. Y'all were crazy if you thought Golden Boy was gonna throw Canelo in there with May this early.
