Because it is a helluva fight, Floyd is fight a young strong fighter with heavy hands and and good speed, tell me the last time Pac has did that. I think Vic will make it an interesting fight.
I was thinking the same thing, if not Roach maybe Berestain. If Ortiz could counter and throw combos somewhat like Marauez, he'd definitely be a beast. He definitely needs a new trainer.
Ortiz is young and talented enough to learn form his mistakes and improve his boxing. He will have a chance against anyone at 140. Ortiz schools Maidana in a rematch(if not mistaking Maidana turndown Ortiz twice for a rematch).
I'm not sayind all MLB, NFL and NBA would make a good boxer, but imagine if an athlete like Lebron grow up w/ boxing gloves instead of a basketball. Most if not all elite boxers grew up in the ring taking punches and its second nature for them. To me that what it takes to be an elite champion. I don't know any young kids boxing or where to take a kid to start boxing and that's a problem. Every little kid I know plays baseball, basketball or football.
Ortiz made that same mistake (trying to touch gloves) at the beginning of rnd 6 and Miadana nailed him. That's the punch that put a mouse under Vic's eye and the fight changed after that.
Khan's chin is good but not great. His Rubber legs will show up again and his chin is definably his biggest weakness.
Just what I was thinking, he will get rocked again. But he did show he has heart.
I can't believe Arum said it was a good undercard. I gotta agree with the HBO crew when they bashed TopRank's undercard all night long Even the main event should've been free on HBO.
