LOL Alexanders power is definitely not explosive. Urango got knocked out because of the accuracy and the timing of Alexanders punch. On top of that Urango's head was coming down and Alexander's punch was coming up: double impact.
Actually the reason was he didn't see the punch at all. You pointed out everything else but the biggest reason a punch (any punch) will KO a fighter of this weight. But yeah, Devon isn't particularly powerful.

Wazaa is right
I don't think he beats Bradley or Alexander. Bradley will outbox him and Alexander has proven to have explosive power by knocking out Iron Juan Urango.
Ortiz could have knocked Urango out quicker than Alexander...Ortiz hits as accurate as bradley does but has wayy more power
I'm close to Ortiz camp and I'm gonna tell you guys that Ortiz' brother did something to really piss Ortiz off before camp and his sister took temo's side instead of vic...temo is Ortiz' brother... Victor had no family support what so ever by the time the fight started and he had alot on his mind knowing that no family members cheered him on but were probably watching the fight...he felt like everyone turned against him when all he was doing was correcting his brother's irresponcible actions...
Ortiz has wanted to continue fighting when he got that huge gash on his head when he faught Marvin Cordova which was a deeper cut then the one maidana gave him...
this is what i dont understand about fighters, they have the opportunity to make millions and make their lifes and families better but they decide to get lazy and not care... i''d chop a finger for 1 million dollars.
kid isnt lazy at all he trains very dilligently
mentally he has some serious flaws

ortiz didn't not want to be there because he was lazy or didn't care, he didn't want to be there because maidana was landing big shots on him. there's a difference.
once a quitter always a quitter. I'm sure ortiz is a great guy that you'd love to hang out with, but I dunno if boxing is a career that he should pursue.
Ortiz is the most talented guy at 140 (maybe tied with Khan). I don't think he lacks heart but I feel he has mental issues. I mean you can tell something was wrong with him mental during the Maidana fight, because he seemed like he didn't care or even wanted to be there.
I just hope whatever demons he has that are bother him gets worked out and/or he seeks the help he needs to get his problems worked out.
this is so on the money it's not even funny. I have talked to several people formally involved with Vic and they all say the same thing
he does not have the mental make up to grind out tough wins and giving me several instances where he basically did the same thing he did in the Maidana fight

good to see another rapper on board..lol
i liked ortiz till he quit..he has skills no doubt..no heart tho..and im pretty campbells gonna expose that weak heart..
yeah right. ortiz is gonna carry him and destroy him late. campbell's got nothing on ortiz.
Ortiz fights like an amateur campared to the other top 140 guys.
I'd favour Alexander, and Bradley to both beat Ortiz handily. He has a chance against Khan, because of his weak chin, but in terms of skills, technique, speed, and defence, Khan is leaps and bounds ahead of him. In fact, if Khan had a chin he would be the top 140 pounder, no questions asked.
no he doesnt. he only looks like an amateur when he tries to play to the crowd and fights like an idiot. in his recent fights, its obvious he concentrating more on being a boxer than a puncher....a patient, power boxer.
i'd favor ortiz over alexander becuz alexander has a tendency to stay in punching range, but bradley showed in the peterson fight that he can be elusive and cute. i'd favor bradley over ortiz. other than that, ortiz beats everyone at 140, including a rematch with maidana.
i also think he has better technique and skill than khan.
agreed... that's so real man...
i'm telling you he has a superstar appeal to him...
he is the next de la hoya...
bradley and alexander would school him
Jose Benavidez will be the best boxer at 140 in 2-3 years.
benavidez will be competing at higher weight classes in 2-3 yrs. hes' huge and he doesnt even have his man muscles yet.
