If sergio was that much better he would've won the first fight but he didn't. This was like like lennox lewis lost to rahman, 1 lucky punch is all it takes to bring down a more skilled boxer.
In the 3rd fight, I will bet my account that sergio does not K.O or TKO
So enjoy the belt for now but the punisher will be back better than ever
.
On another note... I find that hard to watch, that is seriously one of the worst KO's i've seen in years. Paul literally was in la la land as soon as it landed.
I agree, it was brutal.
Lets just all be happy that these morons calling for Pac to fight Pwill can shut the **** up. I am by no means a Pac fan, but the idiots claiming that Pac needs to fight Pwill to solidify his legacy are the most annoying fans on every thread.
Sergio didn't look too shocked when Paul got KO'd
In fact he started walking away before Williams even hit the ground.
That sir, is badass.

holy fukk man. that's an amazing photo. pwill looking like he's floating in air
If sergio was that much better he would've won the first fight but he didn't.
martinez took the first fight on short notice. with a full camp, he KTFO pwill.

what a stupid as fukkin comparison.
lewis is more skilled than rahman, just like martinez is more skilled than pwill

of course, cause pwill is gonna run like wifbeater (a bittch) and he's gonna want to fight pwill at 147 lbs.
So enjoy the belt for now but the punisher will be back better than ever
doubt it. usually after you get KTFO like that you're never the same again. pwill better go learn some muthafukkin defense like khan.
Not lucky at all. Watch the round again. Martinez landed the same punch two times before the KO. Paul Williams was also in the same position both times.

It was clear Sergio was trying to land that punch. It wasn't a lucky shot, that shot was waiting to happen in the 12 rounds.

Lucky is when it's inconceivable, Martinez kept landing that left hook earlier the last hook was perfect. No luck needed, just look at the replay Martinez waited for PW to open up and landed clean. He set that up watch the round again!

To me, that is what is embarrassing as fight fan. The trainers do not tell the fighter the right instructions or train them properly and the fighter does not know how to adjust. Martinez was jumping inside his punches the whole first round, but the trainer just told Williams you are doing well. These young fighters need to start learning there craft better.
Are you crazy? Myself as well as the Boxingguru chatroom had Martinez easily winning the 1st.
....because we werent listening to Stewards biased ass talk about Paul's "street toughness."
Martinez every minute of that fight.

lewis lost to rahman cus he didn't train. williams trained harder for this fight than any other in his life as seen by the training videos people were posting.
Hahahah it's not a lucky punch when you've landed the same punch 3 times before the one that connects on the button finally hits it's target. Pwill is overated just like floyd is overated, just like mosely and delahoya were overated. Non-american fighters are taking over, it's reality.

:bsflag:, Martinez was getting inside Williams punches in round 1. Williams got what he deserved with those wide punches. I love skill, white, black or whatever. That is the sweet science.:boxing: Throwing a lot of punches do not mean sh!t when you are fighting a guy with skill.
Look. I am a Paul Williams fan all day long. And I can admit that Sergio landed a damn good shot. It was in no way a "Lucky Shot". It was a good shot from a full-fledge MW(And a damn good one at that). Paul went to sleep, Sergio won, rubber match should be next.
If you rewatch the 2nd round about 10 seconds before the KO Martinez lands the exact same shot. It wasn't lucky, Williams just makes way to many mistakes, it was a perfect shot.
That was a well planned and well timed punch. He was waiting to throw that short left,"baseball punch", the whole night and finally caught him. P-dub's defense is terrible and he paid for it. Cintron was handling him for the 1st couple of rds of his last fight before he took a Greg Louganis out of the ring.
There will probably be a 3rd fight but it will be awhile. Martinez will cash in this victory to fight the likes of Cotto, Bute or maybe even L'il Floyd.

It looked lucky as hell, but at that level, can you really claim it was all luck? I don't think so. There is a great line from a film that goes, "Luck will often save a man, if his courage holds." A paraphrase, but the message is clear.
Lucky my ass , if it had been the other way around evry paul fan would have been like I told u so
Ya wouldnve sed paul got lucky so don't give me that bullshid

lol You're acting like Martinez doesn't land hard shots regularly. I mean in the first fight he rocked Williams a couple times AND out-boxed him.
Lucky my ass, that shot was just another day at the office kind of punch from Martinez. Only this time he made it count.
