First off, give Floyd his full credit. Shane fought like crap and Floyd did what he is supposed to do to fighters who try and fight his game. So don't take any credit from Floyd.
But I was looking for three things last night:
1. Floyd throwing in combinations. Shane was dead on his feet from like the 4th or 5th round on and Floyd rarely threw more than one or two punches at a time.
2. Floyd's power. He couldn't even faze Shane for the most part. I expected that going in, but considering how tired Shane looked Floyd should have at least got him trouble once.
3. Floyd handling a fight. We didn't get an answer to this question. We did see that Floyd Mayweather has a motherf***ing iron chin beyond question, but Shane never tried to fight, he tried to beat Floyd fighting at his own style.
Just based on what I've seen against JMM and Mosley, Floyd would not be able to keep Pacquiao off. All that speed, movement, and punching would really mess with Floyd and I just think Pacquiao definitely beats him. Maybe stops him late.

it'd be a good fight, but I gotta favor floyd because he's a big WW while pac is a small WW
Mark my words, when they fight Manny will not throw ALL of those punches. His numbers be will cut in half because he will be countered like he was getting against JMM, but against a bigger & strong (his power is underrated) fighter in Mayweather.
I think Floyd would have to stop Pacquiao to beat him...if Floyd elects to fight his regular style and "dance" he could win but it will be close...
Nah i believe Mayweather will win it big. Pac is so open to the righthand lead Floyd will land it freguently. Cotto and Clottey could hit him clean and both are one handed fighters.

Huh?? :pat: Most fighters would of went down! Not comeback from it and dominate the rest of the fight :nonono:
No I don't think they would go down I think they would be stuned and would buckle just like May did. But I'm just saying that he doesn't have a motherf***ing iron chin like some people same said.
I think mayweather wont even get hit by pacman
only way pacman can win is get a lucky shot off like shane did in the 2nd round and finish him. but even that seems unprobable, because there is just no opening fighting floyd.
pacman fans think manny has a chance because he throwes wild flurries from wild angles, but floyd will neutralize that and I can see pacman throwing almost nothing because he will see absolutely no opening. just like 41 opponents did when they got completely controlled and dominated.
and again floyd is bigger, stronger, faster, smarter, and much skilled fighter. only thing pacman got is going is the power.
I dont know how you can say Floyds power didnt trouble shane cos it did, i cant remember what round but mosley cringed from a body shot and besides you dont need power that knocks peoples heads off when all you need to do is keep a fighter off balance.

I tend to agree to this. I think Mayweather could stop Pacquiao but if he doesn't he might lose. Pacquiao's punch output can win lots of rounds on the judges scorecards

can Pacquiao handle this?
Floyd would be falling into Pac hands if he fights fighting forward like he did against mosley. Pac has the hand speed to match and probably surpass floyd's outstanding speed. Not to mention all the different angles and great movement from him. If Floyd gets stunned by Pac he isn't getting away without at least getting knockdown!
Pac will go for KO in the early rounds. He has to, otherwise it would be difficult to go for it later. He would be KO'ed or lose by UD.
Pac has all the ammunition to beat Floyd. The most important one is Pac's RELENTLESS STYLE and SPEED. I just can't imagine how ANY boxer would go about such style.
This fight needs to happen.

I don't think so. Hardly an iron chin after being dazed in the 2nd round. He was definitely hurt by those two rights from Shane. His knees bent on the second punch and you could see his feet wobble slightly after that.
He recovered from that pretty well, but that was mostly Shane's fault.
Those right hands drop almost anyone. Floyd took them. Definition of being able to take a punch.

damn hard fight to call....and anyone who thinks shane didint fight like crap wasnt watching the fight. the man looked like a dinosaur in their not "lightning" ....no footwork handspeed was subpar. Man lemme tell yall somethin if manny had floyd where shane had him in round 2, the fool would have gotten dropped i promise you that. Notice how quickly floyd said no drug test no fight during the interview....the man is scared no shame in that, but hes trembling. hes not the fighter he used to be and everyone knows it. pac floyd would be a hell of a fight, and i think its a toss up, floyd did nothing last night but prove shane is too old to be fighting young guys.

I posted a thread on here that said if Mosley was to land it would be in the middle of the ring with an over hand right, and after he hits him he would then have to change his plan immedietly afterwards.. I think that's where your best shots on Floyd come from and then u have to switch it up afterwards, after last night. I say if pac don't get him out in 4. Floyd does him dirty.. period!
