It maybe over the top, but you can't say we don't support our fighters. You do not get that in America. You have Americans supporting Eastern Europeans for christ sake. As a hardcore fight fan, yes the casuals over here in the UK get annoying but I would rather that than have the toxic attitude SOME US fans have.
Hearn is in the position he is due to his father, and their is no disputing that but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's an excellent promoter with charisma, enthusiasm and appeal. Hearn is likeable, and people want to hear him speak. Who on earth would watch a 40 minute interview with people like Schaeffer, Lou DiBella etc?
I honestly think it comes down to the fact that people are too damn sensitive these days. If you have any form of criticism for any fighter (or anyone in general) then you're just a hater. Yes, obviously their are some trolls but if you take their bate then it goes back to my point, you're too sensitive. I don't see people hate on Crawford at all in all honesty. I think Ward, Mayweather, Pacquaio, GGG, Canelo and even Loma have more unfair criticism than TC.
Chavez Jr, quitter and without doubt used banned substances to cut weight. When Broner moved up and fought Maidana, he got beat up and went to the distance, When Chavez Jr moved up he quit against Fonfara.
Broner deserves all the criticism he gets, but Chavez Jr is far worse.
People who say "don't talk about money" while I get the sentiment, you're being painfully naive. It is something that is worth a discussion when talking about potential fights as it can be used as an excuse to duck, eg a fighter pricing himself out or alternatively the A Side taking the piss.
I agree with Fury, I wouldn't want to be in close proximity with a dude who would like to get pregnant if a procedure allowed it. Wilder is a certified weirdo, wouldn't want to be around him.
