As the year is almost over, I thought we should start nominating the fights of the year, 3 each would do.
My current favourite and front runner is
1. AJ v Wlad TKO 11
The runners up for me would be:
2. Estrada v Cuadras UD 12
3. Bellew v Haye TKO 11 - the guts on show here and the drama was great
Loma/Rigo may change the list for me if it turns into a great fight. RG v Rung 1 almost made the cut and the rematch is obviously KO of the year.
Rungvisai vs Gonzalez I for sure.

Rungvisai vs Gonzalez II just showed how devastated "Chocolatito" was from the first fight!
1 had a lot of doubters on which way the decision should've gone. I like 2 also because Rungvisai made sure there was no longer any doubters.
But, yeah, I take it he was no longer the same 'Chocolatito' after the first one.
Rungvisai by far. Shut Down the #1 P4P hype up to the point where HBO curled their original tail narratives and restructure their hypejobism...
Second set of steak knives go to GGG's career high amazing compubox performance in missing and not hurting a debut Light Welter from a country that makes delicious tacos.
Or Soul Survivors favorite nomination, Horn beating Pac and post shoulder injury performances to show...
Its just impossible for Pac to never lose right Soul? Like your Marquez was on roids posts?
Sheesh. So moving up 4 weight classes and opposing the disadvantages of fighting against world class opp makes you a hype now, huh?
You, mistook ‘moving up from light welter’ (which im hoping you meant ‘super’ welter or you kinda just discredited your whole comment) for ‘a debut canelo-weighter going down from 164.’ And lastly you mean Horn getting a gift in Australia after his best impression of an mma billy goat against pacquiao.’ Just clarifying.
Rungvisai vs Gonzalez 1 and 2
Rungvisai vs Gonzalez I for sure.

At the time of watching it AJ vs Klitschko all the way. In hindsight the fight had a lot of lulls and the fight is less exciting when you already know how it goes.
uhhh......
john molina jr vs ivan redkach
Bad a** fight right there. Unfortunately the OP closed nominations for Fight of the YEAR Before the year was over ? Salido/Roman and Molina/Redkach IMO were Both better fights than AJ/ Wlad and Choco/Rungvisai . Magnitude and significance of the fight Do have a part in making FOTY but shouldn't be the main factors that make a Good fight get the vote over a Really Good fight.

Fight of the Year 2017 - Klitschko-Joshua
Nominations for this are closed and there will be no poll as Wlad/AJ won the noms by a landslide. There is a poll for Fighter OTY though so go there guys.
boooo make the damn poll
It wasn't the #1 fight of the year but Breazeale vs Ugonoh was really good.
One of the most underrated of the year. Had everything and I think was a more exciting than AJ/Wlad but didn’t have the big ‘title fight’ anticipation and impact.
Just a straight up, knock down, drag out war.
I feel as though it will probably be Joshua-Klitschko.
Yes Klitschko was off a layoff and a loss, and yes the ‘man’ at heavyweight is Fury despite how much they market AJ as that guy, but still.
We got a great fight...high drama...young upstart vs legendary veteran...both down both hurt both gassed...some tactics, some brawling...stoppage victory in a fight where the cards weren’t too far apart.
We got a good one, it’s still fun to watch. Take out the recent AJ frustrations and just watch that fight back just for the entertainment, it’s a pretty good candidate in my opinion.
