Deontay Wilder said this on TBV last night which I found wierd. The reason he didn't find to to Cardiff is because...
"They (Hearn and Sky) wanted me to get in AJ's face and make noise in the press conference, public media workout and weigh in"
"I'm a respectful champ, I'm not gonna hoot and holla and disrespect another fighter, that's not me"
Very odd comments as all he ever does is hooter and holla. In fact AJ last week told Wilder to stop the hootering and hollering.
It's very strange considering Wilder will 100% mouth off and call out AJ on social media and hooter and holla Saturday night. Wilder said he wasn't going to Cardiff because he wasn't allowed in the ring to confront AJ but also admits he was given permission to get in AJ's face during the lead up but that's not something he wanted to do out of respect?... Very odd.
But his comment is very strange.. He said he isn't going because he wasn't allowed in the ring to confront AJ but he himself said he doesn't want to confront AJ out of respect in the weigh in and press conference.. It's very bizarre.
Bizzare? Hypocrisy is more like it.
Hearn trying to make some promotion for the future fight behind AJs back...
All that talk and ducking stuff is all just set up hype to promote the fight. It gets the fans arguing and hyped up...its all just a tactic just like with may/pac
That would be my guess
wait so he didnt want to do what hes done a ton of times already?
"I'm a respectful champ, I'm not gonna hoot and holla and disrespect another fighter, that's not me"
er pretty sure that is EXACTLY you? :lol1:
Wait, I just saw the other thread you made and now that I'm on my laptop, I can see your avi. Makes sense now. Carry on.
Everything thing I'm stating is facts. Why don't you go back and look at the threads I made for Wilder praising him? See when he acts like this and says he will fight the unknown Kownacki.. It makes you dislike him.
When did he say he was going to clown AJ? He didn’t say that at all. He said he was going to confront him face to face. You can’t decide to choose words.
Two, they didn’t say they would let him in the ring until after he pulled out. Before that, they were saying the exact opposite.
Seriously, why are you defending this crap? Why?
1. He said he will get in his face and tell him to stop ducking, stop dodging. That's not a respectful approach, is it?. Like I said if you're going to clown him on social media, then have the balls to do it to his face or else you're just a FAKE.
2. Last week on Wednesday AJ said he'll invite him into the ring! Then this Tuesday both AJ and Hearn said they would invite him into the ring. At that time it was still only a roumor that Wilder was not attending.. Wilder made it official the next day (Wednesday). He wasn't due to get here until today or tomorrow.. So he could have easily still come.
Why are you defending the inconsistencies.. You think it's ok for someone to talk crap on social media but then be all respectful in person? That's what you call a shook, scared fake. That's the definition of keyboard warrior.
I'm just stating the inconsistencies.. His whole purpose of attending was to clown AJ in the ring after. He says he wants to be respectful when he is the exact opposite... That's what you call being FAKE. If he wants to be respectful, then don't act a clown on social media or interviews. But we both know he will be on social media and interviews after Saturday. All I'm saying is since you're going to clown AJ, be a man and do it to his face. Do it after the fight if you're suck a respectful person, they said they'd let you in the ring.. If not for it from ringside. It's easy to clown on social media from the comfort of your home.

And even so, he knows how silly it is to interrup a press conference or weigh-in prefight. It’s a different level of disrespect that fighters don’t do. Stop trying to compare that to trash talking post fight or via social media.

With all due respect, Wilder isn't known for being the respectful PC fighter.. He's a loud mouth that openly spouts racist remarks like "White man milking a brother", calling AJ "A Juicy J" and saying he loves the idea of killing someone in the ring to have have a dead body in his record etc etc.
Being a clown is his normal demeanour and character, so he should go all out IMO. Because I guarantee you'll see him go ham on social media Saturday night and call AJ.. Why not do it to in his presence.

Big difference between calling someone out on social media and interrupting a press conference or weigh-in before the fight like a buffoon. That’s why you confront after the fight, not before.

Wilder said in that interview he didn't want to be disrespectful to Parker which if he did confront Joshua during the weigh in, press conference, etc...would definitely be very disrespectful to Parker. That's why he wants to wait until the fight is over.
I mean I think he should've went over there anyway. I know there are other ways to create your case whether he gets to go in the ring or not. Not by confronting at the press conference or weigh in, but definitely other ways that can be productive. The post fight press conference would have been good, ala when Lara confronted Canelo.
:burnout:
Lol, that bit in this video Hearn did on Wilder pouting saying, I'm not going, I can't get in the ring then I'm not going. Lol, that was hilarious.
But at least he's saying now that he would entertain adding the Joshua fight to the contract of fighting Whyte for Wilder.
Hopefully things will get done relatively soon.
He had a plum job commentating.
He could have put himself across anyhow he saw fit. It's a missed opportunity. But who knows, if AJ gets chinned it doesn't matter.
Fair enough those points are legit. But it hasn't ever stopped Wilder from calling out AJ, he's been calling him out like crazy in interviews and social media. He should have gone there and made a scene.. It would only build his profile and make the fans demand the fight.
