Instead of all the arguing and *****ing over Klitschko's performance we should just be glad to have seen a decent heavyweight title fight. Chisora came to fight and put in a brave performance. Klitschko did look bad by his standards but I wouldn't jump to conclusions and say he is shot. When was the last time we saw a fighter go in with that sort of attitude against one of the Klitschko's? I was glad to see Vitali challenged for once. It says alot about the Klitschko's dominance when a 116-112 win is considered to be a sign that he is on the decline. People were saying he was shot when he shut out Kevin Johnson.
I think it's time to stop going on about this fight. I'm a klitschko fan aswell and was pissed off at the outcome when i first watched the fight, but it was a legitimate win for Lewis. Klitschko was getting the better of Lennox but he should have been more protective of that cut when it first opened up instead of going toe to toe.
If Hatton was American the kid would be broke now. British people are gullable and fall in love with club fighters.
And americans fall in love with uneducated convicts.
He should've been disqualified for throwing the korean down as aggressively as he did. Andrade was behaving like a spoilt child when he realised he wasn't going to win.
There was a ukrainian heavyweight fighter i saw a few days back called Aliksander Usyk. He looked amazing in the fight i saw. any idea if he's still in it?
Nobody is betting. I'm just gonna be sitting back, relaxing and watching as RJJ gives his fans more stuff to add to their youtube highlights.
The only thing added to youtube after this fight will be more videos of Jones stumbling around the ring like a dribbling moron.
If you looked at his resume you'd know he's got wins over five world champions and a draw with another. Some of them were junior middleweights, but boxers move up all the time. Look at almost any top fighter's resume and you'll see it full of fights against smaller men. Mayweather? Hopkins? DLH?
To compare Taylor to anyone Kessler has beaten is plain ignorance.
I'm not comparing them, read a post properly before you criticise it. What i'm saying is Pavlik has two decent names on his resume, one world class fighter and one solid fighter (Miranda). Kessler on the other hand has wins over 4-5 solid fighters and is never given any credit for these wins.
Kessler doesn't have 4-5 solid wins, maybe 1 or 2 if that. Those "solid wins" fighters have nothing on there resumes ether except a "0". They were the equivalent of Gary Locketts.
Andrade,Beyer,Mundine,Lucas and siaca are all better fighters than lockett. Lockett is a complete bum who had his record padded in typical frank warren style.
There is not much difference between the resumes of Kessler and Pavlik, yet kelly is regarded as a top ten fighter. The only world class fighter pavlik has beaten is taylor and even that is debatable. Kessler has solid wins over Mundine,Beyer,Andrade,Lucas and siaca, yet he is never given any credit for them.
I just re-watched and scored it again and there was no change to my score.
Calzaghe/Hopkins:
1.8-10
2.9-10
3.9-10
4.9-10
5.10-9
6.10-9
7.10-9
8.10-9
9.10-9
10.10-9
11.10-9
12.10-9
115-112 for calzaghe. He seemed to be discouraged by the knockdown for the first four rounds and was barely throwing anything whilst hopkins was landing is right hand whenever he threw it. After round 4 though, Joe started throwing and landing his jab and some solid straight left hands. Hopkins seemed tired after round 7 and i think he went down in round 10 for a breather to be honest. Those who say that calzaghe didn't land any effective punches clearly haven't watched the fight closely. He was landed some clean, effective straight lefts throughout the last 8 rounds, whilst hopkins was doing bugger all.
Calzaghe's resume? against clowns, Old men and nobodies.
Hearns was a welterweight, Leonard was, so was Duran. All welterweights that killed it at middleweight.
I didn't mention anything about calzaghe.
How the fuck is Taylor debatable? Have you ever looked at his resume?
calm down son. no need for an outburst like that. Yes i have looked at his resume, it's full of shit performances against former welterweights and two "wins" against bernard hopkins.
BoxingScene reports that Kessler's next title defense might be against Gusmyl Perdomo (15-2, 9 KO's).
Perdomo lost a decision to Dimitri Sartison who was dominated by Kessler in most of the rounds and stopped in the 12th.
Does anyone else think Kessler is wasting his career?
This is a joke of a fight in my opinion.
Maybe you should take that word into account before you start jumping to conclusions.
I don't see any reason for people believing that Haye would beat wladimir, let alone knock him out. He knocked out tomasz Bonin and Monte Barrett (Who Klitschko stopped almost a decade ago) The best thing for Haye would be to ignore this fight and concentrate on building more of a reputation at heavyweight. He would get embaressed by either of the klitschkos at this stage.
so wins over thompson , ibragimov , austin , brock and brewster are better or just as good as wins over rahman , maskaev , ruiz , briggs and toney.
thompson>rahman
ibragimov>maskaev
austin>ruiz
brock>briggs
brewster>toney
got it! thank you for enlightening me. i'm new to boxing. i'm a big fan but my knowledge is limited.
maybe you can add me to your friends list and we can talk about boxing and you can teach me more things. thank you.
If you're going to criticise my post, do it in a mature way. Don't be a snidy little cunt, You're clearly from somehwere down under, just be grateful that the queen freed you criminal bastards. Samuel Peter is better than the fighters that you've mentioned.
every? he has?
you don't say......
i must be mistaken. i apologize.
i can't believe i've missed so much of his fights......
wlad-rahman , wlad-valuev , wlad-ruiz , wlad-maskaev , wlad-tua , wlad-toney , wlad-briggs , wlad-chagaev , wlad-golota , wlad-oquendo , wlad-sanders......
anyone have a link to those fights?
now i'm embarassed. i didn't realize that i've missed so many big fights......
What makes the fighters you have listed any better than wlad's recent opposition??
Rahman
-Made his whole career out of a arguably lucky punch
Valuev-
Who exactly has he beaten?
Ruiz-
An awful fighter who was only a factor in the division because of his association with Don King
Maskaev-
A half decent fighter, but no better than Peter, Byrd etc.
Tua-
A decent fighter nearly a decade ago. Wlad was barely starting out back then.
Toney- A fat cunt who has proven nothing at heavyweight.
Briggs- went five rounds with Lennox lewis.
Golota- Has either quit against or been knocked out by every decent fighter he's faced.
Oquendo- Is a bum. Gave Chris byrd a close fight
Chagaev- Spends more trime injured than he does in the ring
Who is there left to beat in his division? nobody. The second best fighter in his weightclass is Samuel Peter, who he decisively beat over two years ago.
